    finally out the closet

  2. Yola

Am actually looking forward to that.

  3. This video concept is old, hoes and fur. Monique has a stank attitude and deserved to be voted off. Kells hasn’t learned anything. Isn’t he married. I work at a small mall near Charlotte, NC. He dropped in a few months ago and was gettin numbers. He even had my co-worker g/f get his coffee. She brought it back and gave it to him. He didn’t say a word, he just pushed the cup back over to her and hander her some sugar packets. The crazy thing is the heffa (I’m southern, ya’ll) started sugaring it and sturring it for him. They exchanged number and bragged about going to his bus that night. And my red-neck, small town hick was like, “She said they just talked, I believe her.” haha Just thought I’d share that with ya’ll. I have footage. Let me know if you want me to send it. That ish is crazy. I just can’t be a groupie, I’m sorry. And isn’t he married with kids?

  4. I love little x video’s…he’s so sexy.

  5. Why does R.Kelly always look so comfused and scared when he takes pictures? In that first picture he looks like he just got some bad news.

  6. *Princess Jazmine*

love snoop and i def love kells, so i am really excited about the collabo….oh and the white chick in the 2nd pic with snoop kinda favors tiny. (well at least to me!)

  7. hdizzle

Well after giving it sme thought you guys I think its officially time for R kelly to …..sit his ass DOWN.

  8. kady

    lol #3

    Mo’Nique is quick ! she’s already in a video clip ? omg !!! i can’t believe !

  9. sandy

THE CHILD MOLESTOR IS BACK.WHY ISNT HE IN JAIL BY NOW

  10. sheisblessed

I see you all are still supporting this pervert??

  11. sheisblessed

Exactly Sandy. But I suppose as long as you molest little Black girls no one thinks its wrong especially if you still produce “banging beats”……

  12. sinnie

1.The video is called “Pass that $h!T”

and I’m from Chicago, and R. Kelly stay getting numbers and hooking up with girls, I think he is still married though. My sister and cousin went to a party he had at his house, and she told me that he had chicks all over him.:.She said that MJ was there but he was just chatting it up with the fellas, and he stayed away from the women, he’s a smart one.

  13. Tyra

    Love the hell outta Snoop!!!!

  14. Will this be R.Kelly’slast video before…
oh, well, I wish him the best in light of HIS situation….
    That Poor Girl….
Her Father should have a long talk with Mr. Kelly…

  15. God R.Kelly you are not the mack, r&b thug, or anything close to that…go get counseling and the help u truly need.

  16. I like the song. I’m tired of furs and hoes though. I see Monique’s hungry ass.

  17. Carrington in Houston

I’ll bet that most of the people who can’t WAIT for the return of R Kelly’s child molestin’ ass, are many of the same ones who suggest that people like Janet go away.

Funny how a child molestor gets mad props within the black community. LOL

I don’t want to read shit else about this disgusting mf unless the story is accompanied by pics of him on the way to the slammer.

  18. Ms TT

isn’t that monique from Top model????

  19. Tee

Poor Monique! Music videos!?! Yeah- she’s a REAL model now! ha!

  20. Lynn

I’ve heard this song played on the radio, it’s a cool track. Say what you want about R., he may be alot of things — but the brother knows how to bring the hits.

  21. MissTee2U

    furs and hoe’s exactly….
    I’ll rock a fur though…LOL

  22. jscene

stop calling r kelly a pervert! Them young bitches volunteered and are probably still bragging about that shit to their friends right now! It’s not like he went out, kidnapped a child and rapped them. And ladies, we all know when we are in school, that one chick in class that was a hoe even at the age of 11! I know some. They act grown and do shit grown woman do. I agree R. Kelly should be punished, cause even though they were willing, it’s against the law to have sex with a minor cause later on they might regret it because as grown as they think they are, their mind is still growing and they might regret that decision later cause they don’t have the life experience and/or intelligence to make such a decision – that’s why the law protects them until they are of age.

But let’s not take credit from R. Kelly. This nigga is the most talented song writer/ videographer in the business IN MY OPINION. And yes, while he’s made questionable decisions (like most niggas in the hood or anywhere else right now having sex with fast ass minors) his talent is fuckin undeniable! Someone slips and falls and yaw want to take all credit from them. He may be sick when it comes to minors, but i could care less about that- that’s between he and god and them damn fast ass chicks that be chasing him. I still think he’s the best song writer, and biggest r&b entertainer. Can’t wait for his next cd!

  23. jscene

    @21 carrington in houston

I agree with you to an extent, but at the same time, if you’re all on board for r kelly to go to jail for that he did, then they just need to back up a bigggggggggg ass truck and start loading them up in most of our neighborhoods, cause r kelly didn’t do anything that a lot of black men aren’t doing RIGHT NOW! Black men, and any man for that matter, have no problems talking to young girls! Don’t act surprised by this! I know when i was young and walking to school, old ass niggas stayed trying to talk to me. I just didn’t respond like them fast as chicks… So if you truly feel this way, then they need to back a big truck up and start loading up basically the whole neighborhood! Think about it.

  24. I guess NE body can become a video hoe, oops I mean video model, cause that chick on the left looks like Tiny (TI’s girl) on super crack.

    Not a good look.

    Monique, sad case

    R. Kelly, even sadder case.

    Snoop, you are the man…..lol

  25. WOW R.KELLY BEEN HIDING HE BACK IM SO SUPRISED!!

  26. Carrington in Houston

    WOW @ Jscene…

I’m absolutely FLOORED @ these comments – “stop calling r kelly a pervert! Them young bitches volunteered and are probably still bragging about that shit to their friends right now!”

    Again, WOW!!!!

So a man who molests and pisses on a 13 year old child is NOT a pervert because she agreed to it? Here’s the deal, no matter WHAT that 13 year old CHILD agreed to, at the end of the day, she was STILL 13! And regardless of how “fast” or “hot” she was, the fact remains – SHE was a child and HE was a 30SOMETHING year old!! WTH??? So if YOUR 13 year old sister, niece, cousin, DAUGHTER spread her legs and told a 34 year old man, “Fuck me, and piss on me!”
You’d be ok with that because SHE asked for it?

Or would you be an adult and let the RESPONSIBLE party be held accountable? AND if she was YOUR family member, would you then be offended by people saying that a 34 year old man fukkin YOUR 13 year old family member was NOT a pervert?

Come on boo, y’all have to let go of this star struck ish… If R Kelly was a white janitor at the junior high school around the corner from your house, and you found out that he was pissing on and fukkin 13 year old black girls, you would probably be first in line to ask why the authorities haven’t arrested his azz – so why does R Kelly get a pass?

Wake up black people – we take up the wrong causes – and R Kelly just ain’t a part of my struggle.

  27. Carrington in Houston

OK Jscene, I can HEAR you, but I’m not able to process your point – what does how many brothas out there doing it have to do with R KELLY being CAUGHT on TAPE doing it?

Again, this seems like some star struck ish to me, here’s one to grow on… this morning in the news, there was a 18 year old arrested for killing his 16 year old brother in a fight over who was gonna drive the car this weekend – if I were to go along with your thought process, shouldn’t we not do anything to HIM because “there are many other brothers out there who kill each other?”

  28. Shalonie

What? that girl from Americas next top model? why they give her job lol i cant stand her

  29. jscene

    @ carrington in houston

No, you lost my point in my long ass post. I was trying to make the point of, the fact that r kelly’s no different from most of the men in our neighborhoods. I’m certainly not condoning it, but, i’m just saying, those are personal issues, between himself, god, and those chicks! It’s not like he’s a danger to society cause he’s out kidnapping and forcing girls to have sex. My point was this has been going on since the beginning of time – just ask your grandmother. Older men have always been after young girls. Is it right? HELL NO! But let’s not act all shock and disgusted when it comes from a celebrity.

My whole point was besides his personal issues and obvious bad decisions, that shit got nothing to do with you or i and his musical gifts. Even if we had daughters, it would be their decision cause he hasn’t forced anyone into any of that. They were willing, it’s just against the law due to his and the victim’s age. So i’m in no rush for him to be locked up!

So with that said, why attack someone for their personal issues – you got some too, but i’m sure you have redeeming qualities, and i’m sure your WORK got nothing to do with your personal issues. With all his bad personal decisions to be involved with minors, IT HAS CERTAINLY NOT TAKEN ANYTHING AWAY FROM HIM MUSICLY! And musicly i admire him! That was my point.

So to sum it all up, my point was – r. kelly’s no different from a lot of men in our communities. And he’s no danger to society in my viewpoint, these young girls went looking for him. And i still admire him musical abilities. Point blank.

  30. jscene

    @carrington in houston

and too, let me add this regarding your other post. If i had a 13 year old relative that choose to have sex with R. Kelly, hell no i wouldn’t be happy about it, but in the end if she’s going to do that, she’s going to do that! I can’t control that! If my relative decided to deviate from the morals and values that were instilled in her, and made a decision to have sex with a grown ass man, you tell me what i can do about that! What can you do about that! Even if he goes to jail, she still got fucked and peeed on, and she would have to live with that! So now what! Bottom line is these young girls need to stop being so hot, running after these athletes and entertainers. And mind you, while they are in this mode, no adult can tell them shit!

Like i said, i don’t condomn what r. kelly has done! I just don’t judge him based on those standards cause i know damn well so many men are doing the EXACT same thing right now as we post these comments. I can’t tell you how many 20 and 30 something negros were trying to holla at me while i was in junior high school, and mind you i was a little girl, not very well developed at all! This has been going on forever, so i’m not shocked by r. kelly’s behavior! The only people who can stop this behavior is the young girls; they can make a decision to respect themselves, or at least listen to their elder relatives when they advise them. Other than that, like i said, you might as well back up a big ass bus to the hood and just pack them niggas in! Cause this aint going to change until these young women start having more respect for themselves and make better decisions. While the laws are their, can can only punish the men, they can’t change these men mindset.

I can care less what r. kelly does in his damn personal time. It doesn’t affect me! Now if he were stealing young women off the street, then that would affect me! I love his music and i’m forever a fan until his music fall off! I can’t judge him based on anything else; all other things regarding r. kelly, i leave to God.

  31. Queshia

R-kellys music is on point: but truth is i refuse to support a PERVERT i am a mother and i know it kills me to see this sick Bastard his ass should be supervised w/stipulations placed upon him like all the rest of these sick bastards Micheal Jackson included..

  32. jscene

    @ carrington in houston

and let me make one more correction…i apologize for limiting this behavior to the hood, it’s EVERYWHERE! In every race, having sex, even kinky sex, with young girls has been going on for centuries! It’s in the hood, suburbs, country, trailer parks, japan, china, russia, everywhere. This behavior, while not accepted in the u.s., is not new! And while it’s against the law here, change needs to come from these young girls, cause obviously even with these laws in place these men aren’t changing and you can’t lock them all up!

  33. Sista Toldja

We just don’t give a fuck about our little Black girls, do we? If R had a penchant for white kids, they would have been locked his ass up. Yeah, MJ beat his cases, but the accusers’ families where what you call “unsympathetic victims”- meaning nobody will feel too sorry for them and/or believe their stories. It seems that nine times out of ten, if a Black girl is a victim, she’s automatically an unsympathetic victim. Yeah, those young girls may be hot in the pants but 1) it was a damn superstar singer and a young ass girl; she may have been led astray by the fame and 2) even if the girls were “hoes” before R. met them, this is when being an elder kicks in and you explain to a little ass girl why she shouldn’t be partying with and sexin’ grown men, or anyone else for that matter. But given that he invited these girls to his house and set up a camera, I guess that conversation wasn’t gonna happen.

The righteous few of us have already stopped supporting Mr. Kelly. Now it’s time to call these artists (such as Snoop) to task for continuing to work with this man! Most of these rappers have kids- how would they feel if their daughter ended up in R. Kelly’s lap? Can’t nobody say he’s innocent, that tape has been seen in more Black homes than Titanic! And I’m from the Chi, and I have definitely heard plenty of stories about Robert Kelly trying to holler at young girls, from as early as his time with Public Announcement to as late as 1998. And the tapes were made in the early part of the 2000s. Wake up, y’all!

And, you know what’s interesting to me? I bet if R Kelly was outed as a gay man, he’d lose more fan support than he has from being a child molester. Our people are so ass backwards sometimes.

  34. Sista Toldja

And for those of y’all claiming that this man is a musical genius……well, he’s made some classic songs ( I Believe I Can Fly, Step In The Name Of Love) but let’s look some of his biggest hits

    Early R:
    Hey Love-remake
    Sadie-remake
    Summer Bunnies
You Remind Me Of My Jeep
Produced Aaliyah’s debut “Age Ain’t Nothin But A Number” with a picture of him staring at her her creepily from the background on the cover
    Sex Me
    Bump ‘N Grind

    Recent R:
    Trapped In The Closet
    Feeling On Ya Booty
    Thoyia Thoing
    Sex In The Kitchen

This man has written some of the worst lyrics in the history of music!!!! Just because you liked the beat doesn’t make “Girl, I want to toss your salad!!!!” the product of a good writer! He’s speaking gibberish half the time, prolly cause HE CAN’T READ!!!!!!

  35. jscene

    @ sista toldja #37 & 38

“We just don’t give a fuck about our little Black girls, do we?”

    My response:

you got it wrong, did you mean, some little black girls just don’t give a fuck about themselves!

    @ sista toldja who wrote;

“even if the girls were “hoes” before R. met them, this is when being an elder kicks in and you explain to a little ass girl why she shouldn’t be partying with and sexin’ grown men, or anyone else for that matter.”

    My response:

And like i said, you can’t tell them little hoe acting girls nothing! They sneak in the clubs, lie about their age, and even when you try to kick them out, they get violent; they are convinced they know what they want and no speech from an adult is going to change that. If it’s not coming from some deeper level, like morals, god-trained conscience, or value system, all your talk is no fuckin good! It has to come from within them, that respect for themselves…everyone is responsible for themselves, I know, i’ve hung around some athletes and these girls get down right violent and angry when you try to tell them anything! They are hell bent on doing what they want to do! So be it…they have to change this behavior.

@ sista toldja who also wrote:

“And for those of y’all claiming that this man is a musical genius……well, he’s made some classic songs ( I Believe I Can Fly, Step In The Name Of Love) but let’s look some of his biggest hits”

    My response:

We’ll just have to agree to disagree. I’m familiar with all of his music, i like r. kelly’s music! For the most part, no artist is all that damn deep, but it don’t stop them from winning grammys. It’s usually all about the beat! R. Kelly is gifted musicly, and that’s my opinion. And like i said, i’ll support him to his music fall off!

  36. Carrington in Houston

Jscene – it’s apparent that your sympathies lie with the perpetrator, so I can’t really have this debate with you. But I’ve noticed that you neglected to respond to one particular question; “If R Kelly, was the janitor at a junior high school, and not a “star” – would you be as understanding? And would his “job” have an effect on your ability to see clearly then?

As I’ve said before, reGARDLESS of what that 13 year old said do to him, as an ADULT, he has to be astute enough to make a conscious decision to know right from wrong, again, SHE is a child (and I’m not sure why you dont’ get that)

If a 34 year old man handed a gun to a 13 year old boy who was pissed at somebody and this kid went out and killed someone, would you be defending the dude who gave a gun to a child, or would you recognize that, “this man KNEW that what he was doing” and there is no way that you can defend that kind of ignorance – somehow, I think that you’re position would be a bit different.

At the end of the day, your position is a dangerous one within the African American community and unfortunately, it ain’t somethin that I haven’t heard a hundred times over. And I just don’t believe that if R Kelly wasn’t a STAR, that people would have these same beliefs, if so, please don’t have children, because believing that there is “nothing that you can do” when a 34 year old man fukks and pisses on your 13 year old baby disqualifies you for parenthood.

As a parent, there is ABSOLUTELY something that I can do… and as a last resort, it ends with my ass feeling the warmth of my daughters hand through six inch plexiglass and hearing her voice over a telephone – but THATS parenting at all cost – you’re on another page, boo.

Sistatolja – u said everything I missed – thank God for you.

  37. nannette

did anyone notice the black girl from this season of america’s next top model in the video

  38. bailey

@ carrington in houston, sista toldja, and jscene

you’ll ladies aint playing with this posts I must say all of you made very valid points and argued them well. I myself feel a bit torn whenever I see r kelly because in the back of my mind I can’t accept what he has done, although I like alot of his music I must admit I don’t play it and if I hear it I don’t enjoy it as much.

To be honest it is sad all the way around for the young black girls in our community and the adult men who choose to coerce young women into having sex, rather they are willing or not. Sex at a young age as we all know can be so damaging to a girls self-esteem, reputation, and most importantly her health.

Just my thoughts, I know alot of girls can be fast and don’t listen when given advice, but some of these young girls -not all of them have already been molested in their homes and by family members. Alot of black families don’t talk about molestation, I can recall hearing the excuse that the girl was hot and asked for it, I don’t know but somehow that alleviates the man of any responsibility-to say that would say that a man isn’t capable of controlling his sexual urges. And of course we know that is not true because all men are not indulging in this type of behavior but I must agree with jscene I too can recall men 18 – 30 and higher trying to holla and I was a skinny minny w/o any curves and very shy and 14.

I can’t help but say that these men are predators and obviously have a sick desire to interact with someone younger and inexperienced that they can manipulate into performing lude sexual acts. Jscene is right there are so many men like this in our communities and to tell the truth I always say that many men are r kellys behind closed doors, if only you could here some of the stories told in barber shops.

Now I don’t condone the behavior, and I believe that any man having sex with a person underage should be prosecuted-simple as that. That includes R. Kelly as well, hopefully he will seek counseling and pray to God for forgiveness and repent. I do believe that he is a great artist but I can’t help but feel morally conflicted whenever I see him. Would any of you trust him around your family members behind stage at one of his concerts? Because of his fame and his career he has greater access to young women, because of his money he also has the ability pay off the right people to hide what he has and is probably still doing-this type of behavior has a dominoe affect on our entire community-

teenage pregnancies, sexually transmitted diseases, poverty, violence, suicide…………….etc.

  39. #41

Did you read from top to bottom…..lol

  40. damn monique is already in a video. interesting.

like someone said, hos and fur. lol nothing new…

and i’ve never really liked r. kelly. the man reeks sex – and not the good kind.

  41. jscene

@Bailey, i totally agree with you on many of your points.

    @ carrington in houston

While you said i’m obviously on the side of the perpetrator, you were obviously not a fan of r. kelly’s from the beginning, which is fine.

Bottom line, i’ve said it before and i’ll say it again. i don’t condone this type of behavior. But change has got to come with the young girls cause that part WE CAN CONTROL. We obviously can’t control these predators, whether they are janitors or entertainers. There will always be jails and prison and sex crimes won’t be a thing of the past. We can lock them up, but where’s the young girls responsibility in this for herself, and believe it or not, she does have a responsibility in this. It’s just like a snake, if you know a snake is going to bite, would it be easier to try to change the nature of the snake, or simply teach or train your child, and/or loved ones to steer clear of them! I think the latter will be more successful. The laws are set in place, but there certainly is a amount of culpability for the victim in these type of cases since they aren’t typical rape cases. And you can lock these men up all you want, these type of situations will continue to happen until girls wake up to take responsibility for themselves. The law cannot micromanage households and set limits. They can only arrest after the damage is done.

I simply said no……i had respect for myself…..It wouldn’t be happening if the young ladies stand up and say no, i’m not having it. Give these young girls more credit, they aren’t that stupid, if we expect more of them, they’ll make better decisions. IF we continue to coddle them, saying “oh bad man, had sex with you, and you didn’t know what you were doing.” Whatever! That’s a bunch of malarky! Sorry, at the end of the day, when it’s all said and done, who has the power…..not the perpetrator, but the young woman.

  42. bailey

    @jscene

I’m going to definately forewarn and teach my little girl because to a degree you are right, teaching young girls to avoid them altogether and say no is an option. But not the only one-

men have to stop slapping one another up for juvenile conquests and wild sexcapades just to validate their manhood, black men have so much more significance than their penis, but time and time again we keep seeing all of these images of black men in videos, with lavish clothing, cars, homes, with beautiful women at their disposal this image is so far from the truth. We all have to consider what roles we play in condoning or upholding this behavior and start being accountable for our own behavior, our sons and daughters!

And it seems to me society and the law is harder on drug dealers (not that I condone this either) than they are on molestors, it’s like the old adage “boys will be boys” and “mama’s baby’s daddy’s maybe. This type of thinking just breeds predators, it displaces accountability.

Because when it is all said and done the responsibility to protect our children lies with us, and what I hear jscene saying is that because the law is so lenient and because some men know that there are some young women willing and ready to have sex with them they are going to keep doing it and if the girls says no from jump then it’s not going down, unless it’s rape and I don’t even want to get started on that either many of those perpetrators never spend 1 day in jail.

I will say this where are our men? if there were more men involved in their daughter’s lives to school them on what goes on in the minds of some of these old niccas in the street, Lyfe Jennings wouldn’t have to write a song to hip them too it. And think about the examples some women are setting for their daughter’s if they see mommy sleeping with men to gain attention or finances why wouldn’t her little girl think that it’s cool for her to do as well.

I know that there are good parents out here men and women but we all know that there as 3x’s as many that aren’t. We women have to raise our standards, stop accepting mistreatment, be role models for our children, and pray……say what you want but if we women put our feet down and demand more from our black men they would step in line as well, and black two-parent households wouldn’t be so uncommon and our children wouldn’t be so damn out of control-I pray that these children aren’t our future.

  43. jscene

    @ bailey

i agree bailey, but i still think it’s easier to train our children than to try to retrain and reteach sex offenders. With regards to why so many men are attracted to young girls, i really feel that’s god’s job to straighten out…no amount of preaching, training, teaching, punishing, shaming, and or rehabilitation is gonna change them. Men have been like this for years, and i honestly doh’t know what can be done to change this type of thought pattern or behavior when it comes to their attraction to youhng girls. Thank god they don’t represent all men. But i totally get your points. You make really good points.

  44. Shayna

Monique looks like an AIDS patient! Lookiter hands!

  45. Carrington in Houston

And I still say that no matter what type of men we have behind closed doors, the reality is that until we CATCH those men, or until people stop blaming children for adult decisions – it won’t change. ( and right now, regardless of how many OTHER predators are out there, I’m dealing with R Kelly, because I see my people making excuses for him as they compare his sick ass to “who else is out there” )

I was absolutely an R Kelly fan, and truth be told – I think he made some great beats (most songs were stoop, but that’s another story) does my attitude TODAY take away from the fact that I enjoyed his music THEN? No! But the difference is, I’m not going out to buy any of his music, because to spend my money on him is to support him, and I simply don’t. (Put more money in the pocket of a man who is using it to pay off the parents of children he fukks and pisses on? No Ma’am!)

See, the thing I see happening here is that we are justifying what this man has done by focusing on how many other dudes are out there doing it, or by assigning culpability to the child – and my stance is the same; she was a CHILD.

In the end responsibility has to go somewhere; and R Kelly is it for me, that 13 year old needs her ass whooped and her FATHER needs to explain to her what she did and why it was wrong, but that’s a family issue – no matter HOW much she wanted it; but the ADULT, who is cognizant of the law, needs to be dealt with accordingly!

One thing I think y’all keep missing is the fact that this “hot” girl was doing R Kelly!!! Whose to say that if this man was “R. Jenkins” from around the way, she would have reacted the same? She was probably star struck just like many of you seem to be – and why WOULDN”T she feel special as a 13 year old whose going through that awkward stage, when here comes this man who can have almost any woman in the world – and he wants HER? Come on now.

Many of you drive to work everyday and see a dude on the side of the road with a brokedown car, but guess what? You got to get to YOUR job and you ain’t bout to be late messin with no stranger!

Now back it up, you’re on your way to work and you see Denzel Washington, Beyonce or LL on the side of the road with their trunk up and steam coming from under the hood – many of you people who would pass an AVERAGE brotha every day of the week would pull over, be GLAD to help and then couldn’t wait to go to work LATE to tell everybody that you helped Beyonce’ fix a flat or gave her a ride.

So if YOU can be star struck as an ADULT – imagine what a 13 year old goes through. (juss summ to think about)

And by the way, I know I got a chick name… but I’m a MAN!

It’s interesting that everyone is calling R. Kelly a pervert and not a rapist! Does that mean that you think he’s still a danger to children? Or, is he just a kinky bastard? Do you think he’s likely to strike again or did he learn a lesson?

Here’s my gut feeling: I think he got caught up in a fantasy world like Whitney’s, Michael’s, Jada’s and others! To him, it looked like he was dealing on an adult level, but unfortunately, he was being introduced to children!

I personally don’t think he’s a danger to children! I’ve listen to his music and he has the knowledge and strong values! Was he involved in drugs or alcohol when he went off? I don’t know! But, if he is found innocent in the courts, then I am ready to give him a pass just like they did OJ and Lisa!

When a member of the family falls from grace, its up to someone in good standing to open the door and let them back in! They can’t open the door for themself! I’m glad the courts are deciding, because I have mixed feeling and I never saw the video footage!

  47. 0UTSP0KEN

yeaa um… i like R.Kelly bc he has good music. i am not interested in his personal life bc i dont know him. neither do any of you.

if hes a child molestor thats not my business bc when my ass when 13 i wasnt lookin for no grown men to sex. yes, he was wrong and its nasty but i also blame the girls and their parents. when i was 13, my parents knew where my ass was. why is no one pointing a finger at them?

and there are plenty of RAPISTS [you know, the mug-you-on-the-street kind] that the system hasnt put away yet. im more concerned about putting them behind bars.

and anyway the last snoop record i liked was drop it like its hot…and that had to grow on me.. but i’ll have to wait & see if i like this one.

  48. I didn’t see the video either Meatloaf and don’t care to. The track is fiyah though. I don’t think its right that he hasn’t gone on trial for this yet. I cosign with Carrington, he’s been paying this family off. The victim’s father deserves to be right in jail with Kelly if he’s been cashing the checks, his daughter should mean more to him than that.

  49. Sista Toldja

Sisters and brothers (lol @ Carrington- I didn’t assume you were woman, btw) are saying some real stuff on here. I’m glad to know others are recognizing that R is a “Bad Man”! And YES, he is a RAPIST. The “stauatory” label doesn’t knock it down to the level of freak or kinky bastard. Meatloaf, I don’t expect you to go download the video (in fact, I suggest you don’t, as it is quite disgusting). But as someone who did see it and as someone who grew up in the Chi with a sister who attended R’s high school and shared stories of the singer coming up to his alma mater (if you can call it that given that he never graduated from there or anywhere else) and hollering at freshman girls when he already had a popular CD out AND as someone who had TWO friends who R tried to holler at when we were in MIDDLE SCHOOL….I know that’s a run on sentence like no other…..I can say that the charges are true. Add that with all the girls who came forward around 2000, 2001. And the Aaliyah marriage and CD title. And there was a Fox news story where they went to the house from the tape, reported from the room where it was shot and provided valid evidence that it was, indeed, Mr. Kelly’s former home. The Chicago Sun Times broke a lot of info about the case in the early part of the decade that may not have made it to the national stage. Though a lot of artists have continued to work with R Kelly, he’s lost a number of acquantences and buisness partners because of his refusal to submit to any treatment for his problem, including Aaliyah’s uncle who was once his manager. The man is guilty with more evidence than OJ.

I’m not saying that the loyalty to R Kelly is simply symptomatic of a Black issue. White actors will fly to France and do a film with Roman Polansky like its a special honor. But the lack of ability for the state of Illinois to adequately try this man, coupled with our community’s unwavering support of R Kelly speak to the lack of value placed on little Black girls. We have internalized the notion of our girls being oversexed and agressive. Even when they behave as such, adults have a responsibilty to put them in their place, not put them on a videotape and piss on them.

People who are heavily critical of rappers who talk about drugs and violence tend to turn around and buy said rappers’ music. With R. Kelly, we have actual evidence of this man performing crimes against our little girls and yet everyone continues to love him. That’s some bullshit. And @ Bailey: I also had grown ass men trying to mess with me as early as 11, 12 years old. That messed with my image so badly. I felt dirty and guilty, even though I had done nothing wrong. One day those little girls are gonna have some serious issues about what they did. No matter how hot in the pants you are, at 14, 15, 16 years old you don’t have the frame of mind to handle sex with a 34 year old man. Even if you asked him to do it to you!

    @ carrington in houston

    oops sorry about the name,

I’m not sure if you thought I was focusing on others in our community and excusing r kelly, but I’m certainly not, what I have attempted to point out is some of the behaviors and beliefs that possibly contributed to creating predators like r-kelly, before he was r-kelly he was a child and I can’t say for sure what his childhood was like but I’m certain some of the things I mentioned above may have been contributing factors.

To be honest I don’t really think that either of us are really disagreeing on the fact that r-kelly is a molestor, I think we all have different opinions on what can and should be done about it and whose to blame.

The accountability has to lie somewhere and judging on all the comments posted thus far, r-kelly, the victim, the victim’s family, and the community should share it-what percentage?

I don’t know but, r-kelly is the symptom to a much bigger problem in our society.

All I’m saying is r-kelly was stupid enough to record his crime and someone had it in for him and turned the tape in, but God only knows how often this happens on a daily basis w/ joe schmoes in our communities. I think the same attitude you are implying in your post that people have towards r-kelly “turning a blind eye” is the same attitude many are taking towards the 18 and 19 year olds and of course older men that are praying on misguided 14 and 15 years old girls. It makes people feel as though there is nothing that they can do, again no accountability.

r-kelly was dead wrong, but why didn’t anyone know where she was and what she was doing? why didn’t any of the people who were well aware of what took place and the fact that he recorded it say anything? and if the person who obviously had a beef with r-kelly didn’t turn the tape in?

we would all probably still be steppin in the name of love w/o a clue of what r-kelly is capable of.

Carrington, definitely deal with r-kelly but don’t ignore the others.

  51. Debra

I’ll be glad when R. Kelly trail is over with also, so he can get back to making the music I love, he is about the only artist who I give my money to because I know I will enjoy it from the begining to the end.
He knows how to make you feel like he is talking to you the listener even though he may be talking about something he has been thru. It’s real every body don’t know how to that. I enjoyed his last tour can’t wait to see him again.

  52. phillydon

Two legends i hope that shit is a classic.

#53 Sista Toldja ~ I respect what you said! I can’t match your insight or emotions on this topic! I’m ignorant of the proof and facts but not the details!

You describe the R. Kelly saga and an ongoing problem dating back to his marriage to Aaliyah and her assisted uncle! At every turn, there were other adults either managing or filming his actions. Why don’t they stand trial to collaborate the charges against him?

In some States, this type of crime gets swepted under the carpet with probation for the first offense! I absolutely hate anyone who harms a child! Even child on child crimes…bullies, gangs and especially, perverts.

I have the feeling that God is gonna be the Judge and Jury on this one! R. Kelly has to be suffering! His seclusion is very noticable!

Thanks for a good response! I pray for his soul and for the souls of all who were effected by this mess!

  54. CHITOWN

Hey yall, be easy—-The bottom line is let the jury decide the MF case and if they get it wrong then he will have to answer to God.

  55. quick question

This is what I have to say about R. Kelly: Many of us judge him and say what should happen to him, but we were not there. Im not condoning what this fool did, but at the same time, there are a lot of young ladies that LIE about their age. One of my friends was sent to prison, because he courted a young lady that told him, (myself, and others) that she was 19. Well this girl was only 15, turning 16, when we found out. Note that, we all found out about the same time he did, but when he attempted to break it off, it was too late. He didnt know the girl was that young, because SHE LOOKED OLDER. The mother pressed charges on him, and he was arrested. Even when the girl confesed to lieing, the mother still pressed charges. He had a full football scholarship, and it was his senior year in high school. Who is to say the same thing didnt happen? Or he could be a pervert, molestor, or what have you. I just think that a situation CAN go both ways. He is nasty, and those girls could also be putting themselves in that type of situation as well.

  56. # 37 Good point, he’d lose more fans as a gay man than as a pedifile.
#38 I agree. He’s had many hits but only a few great songs. I don’t see a geneous but once you make that couple of great songs, anything you come out with is going to be a hit.
He is a pervert. Let’s not pin our brothers (black men) as the only ones trying to get at young girls. This happens in every race. It’s just that black girls are considered “fast” when they act on it or are blamed when they’re molested. It is taken more seriously with other races. Rape is rape and having sex with minors is rape. Let’s not forget a 26 year old R. Kelly dating a 14 year old AALIYAH. He’s sick and he needs help b/c pedifiles don’t stop, EVER.
    R.I.P. Aaliyah
