SHOW JAY WHATCHA’ GOT!
Jay-Z is out of retirement and has returned with his new single, “Show Me What You Got.” I really love the production, I haven’t decided whether or not I like the song or not. I have to listen to Jay-Z’s verses more than a few times to decide whether or not I like them. But I’m a Jay-Z fan. I’m hoping that has album is up to par, because people have been saying that he’s trying to hard recently. I’m not sure what I think yet, but I’d love what you guys have to say about the single. I will form my opinion later, so I’d like to hear what you guys have to say.

I heard the song while driving home today. I don’t care for it to much. I hope he comes out with some records that sound like his older stuff. Because that’s really what I want to hear from him.

I’m not feeling that one. I haven’t really cared much for Jay’s music since Blueprint #1 with the exception of a couple of songs. I like the old Jay-Z style better.

Song is HOT. He came totally different with it. What song on the radio sounds like this? What rap artist has a joint out that is so different like this? Totally has a grown and sexy feel, and it’s something you can dance to.
The saxophone by Chad Hugo… the Wrecks N Effects sample. The Public Enemy sample. The drums. And the flow.
Sorry… but this song is hot, and you might not appreciate it now, but you will.

Sesamestreet the sample is from a Public Enemy song called “Show Em’ Whatcha Got”. N2Deep and Wrecks n Effect used this too. I’m loving this song it could because it uses real instruments. It reminds me of “Encore” which was my summer jam last year.
The beat is hot. Although I’m typically a sucker for horns and percussion. I’ll have to give the lyrics a couple of listens to really like the song, but I’m feeling it a bit after the first and second listens.

I think after BLUEPRINT, he got very comfortable and rich and stopped tryin. Or is it that he and his girlfriend are really good with the Smoke and Mirrors act and were never really all that good in the first place? I don’t know but what they have been droppin’ lately is a bunch of BULLSHIT (except for Beyonce’s latest white girl POP single that I am kind of feelin’).
But everyone must get a reality call eventually!! omg its so hot did you hear the horn when the beat drops?? His flow is so effortless when the bass hits you can feel the insouciance. The song feels right and its fun, I’m loving this one. Jay-Z is the best MC ever period, I said it.
