SUPPORT THE NEW ORLEANS EDUCATION PROJECT
Tuesday, October 31, 2006

The New Orleans Education Project is a group of students, staff, and faculty with a common goal to help the people and city of New Orleans recover from Hurricane Katrina, and in the process to educate ourselves and our communities on the issues in New Orleans. We will travel to New Orleans January 5th to 11th 2007 to help clean-up and rebuild. We are looking for sponsors and donors to help us pay transport costs. We are developing a long-term relationship between our Eastern Shore community and the Gulf Coast. New Orleans is known for its history, its annual Mardi Gras celebration, its music, and its love for great food and a great life. Since hurricane Katrina, New Orleans has been struggling to return to the place it has been. By contributing to NOEP you can help us toward our goal of helping to speed the return of New Orleans as a functional city. We believe that we must imagine the world as we want it to be, and then make the changes we want made. If not us, then who? You may have seen Spike Lee’s When The Levees Broke and have wondered how you can help. NOEP is your opportunity to help.
