Never really been a fan of Pretty Ricky, but I have to admit that they’re debut album “Blue Stars” was very well put together. But I’m sorry, I cannot support this song about phone sex. They’re lyrics are just a little too mature for the target audience that they’re going for, so I guess I just can’t get into it. My little cousin loves them and I just have to encourage her to not listen to this song. It’s pretty explicit. As far as I know, the name of their second album is “Late Night Special.” So that should tell you everything you need to know.

Apparently, Swizz Beatz produced this song for Ruben’s new album. I haven’t been particularly impressed by Rubben’s new material. I think his voice is more suited for gospel music, but I am really glad that he made a smooth transition from “American Idol” winner to actual artist. Him and Fantasia have both done good jobs of doing that. I almost forget they were ever on AI.

A joint done by Bryan-Michael Cox, so of course, you know I like it: B. Cox’s production is always tight. I actually really like Latif’s voice, I just wish he would do more than what he’s doing on this new material! His voice can do a lot, according to previous recordings.

Looks like everyone is using Swizz Beats these days for R&B tracks (Beyonce, JoJo, Monica, Ruben…). He’s been cashing checks! Anyways, this is supposedly the second single from JoJo’s “The High Road,” which leaked recently. It’s taking me a couple of listens to get into the album, but it’s growing on me.
This song is on Ruben’s last album.

actually i only like the two first songs, ruben’s voice sounds a bit “choppy” on the song, his album sounds like it’ll be about a “b-,b+”, he shude hav got with those kelly clarkson, fantsia people if he wanted to be a “huge star”, dont get me wrong, i luv ruben he jus needs better peeps to manage him
i hate to say it, but im a pretty ricky fan, and when ur girls away fone sex is the next best thing lol!! now, their entire album was pretty good!! haha they are very ghetto though (i like the part in this song where they say “take them granny panties off, put a thong on” lol!!)

I like Pretty Ricky, they are young but I never saw their music as “young” you know. So whatever, I don’t see anything wrong with this song just because it’s about phone sex. People have been much more explicit than this.

LOL at you posting an old song. But you’re right about Pretty Ricky. There’s nothing with being sexually explicit in some of your songs, but when it’s EVERY song and you know little kids are going to be singing it you have a problem. I remember my pastor damn near fainted when he listened to my 12 year old cousin’s iPod with all their tracks. *SMH*

That Latif song is OLD it was made about 3 YEARS AGO.. I have it on a CD from when he came out with his first single, it was a snippet I think, I really wish he would have done well. I really love his first album.
