TRINA LOVES THE KIDS!

Trina held a photoshoot for her non-profit organization, Diamond Doll Foundation, in Miami on October 6, 2006. According to a bulletin from Trina’s Myspace, 15-20 girls were selected throughout the South Florida area to be part of the photoshoot. After the photoshoot, Trina sat down and spoke with the young ladies for about an hour about different things that she has experienced coming up in life and being in the industry. All girls will be involved in the foundation’s events from fundraisers to food drives.

Trina recently spoke about the foundation via her myspace page:

What inspired you to create the Diamond Doll Foundation?
TRINA:To me, the Diamond Doll Foundation is about being able to help young girls. Those girls in the inner city, who aren..t as privileged and girls that are kind of lost, those that don..t come from a great home or who don..t have older influential people in their lives to help them become great women. I travel a lot and I meet so many young girls and everyday life for them is a struggle. Everyday life for them is a different day of facing some sort of obstacle that they feel that can..t endure. It can be girls who get pregnant at early ages, girls that are on drugs, who have been abused emotionally and physically. My life is great, but I..ve been through a lot of different things that makes me have the strength that I have and to be able to give that back to girls that may be weak, who have low self-esteem or don..t have enough confidence, that I..m here for them. Good for Trina, glad she wants to help these girls and their issues. Everyone needs someone to talk to who have been through and made it out of situations. Hope she continues to keep up with her Organization.

    # 20 So True!
#22 I was asking the samething.
#35 everything you said was on the 1.
#53 U took the words outta my mouth.

What has society come to when we can commend a ex- stripper / whore for speaking to our youth. She is the reason these same young women she TALKED to needs real guidance. I’m no hater in no sense of the word but come on people. Be for fucking real!

What about this chick makes you think she can be a POSITIVE role model. Only thing remotley POSITIVE about her may be her TEST RESULTS. (just kidding) But seriously speaking Trina was just trying to gain some good publicity since everyone Knows that this 33 year old woman (Trina) was dumped by a 27 year old man (lil Wayne)for some 22 year old wanna be singer / actress / just like her big sister (Solange’)

Why ya’ll gotta hate on my girl?! She’s about female empowerment, but ya’ll call her a hoe. That’s foul. She’s out there tryin to help young girls who don’t have a positive role model, so maybe they won’t give up their dreams for some dude that’s just gonna bounce when someone else comes along. She’s tryin to teach these girls that they can do for themselves, how can you hate on that? I don’t care what you say, i got MAAD love gor my girl…. she know’s what it’s like for a young girl growin up in the hood. Do your thing Trina!

I like Trina’s music and I think what she’s doing is wonderful you gotta start some where and if this is her start so be it “all the one’s out there hating reply back and tell me what your doing to help our young black girls?”What the have you done? untill you people can answer that shut the f*$% up.

well i am a 14 year old girl and i agree some of those women not girls do look grown and its good trina doing something but it also came as a shock to me that she is trying to be a role model to these girls but her lyrics are very freaky and explicit and not portraying the right things to young girls some of the comments were saying the past doesn’t matter but in february 2008 she made a new song called look back at me and if you just listen to those lyrics it will explain it all yet im happy im also shocked and confused
