-JAMIE FOXX KILLED IT!!! I LOVED his performance. I was in tears after his performance. That man is so freakin’ talented it’s not even funny. It was so touching to see him with his mother since they’ve been estranged for a very long time. You could tell he was happy.

-Gwen Stefani’s new song was a joke. I kept waiting for the “real” song to come on. That song is a HAM, but because she’s “Gwen,” she’ll get a pass for that garbage.

-All I could do was hang my head when Akon and Snoop came out with the strippers. WTF??? Bolder and bolder. Damn.

-Flav, Flav, Flav.

-Tyrese looks a HAM on the red carpet, and WTH is wrong with this dude? I saw him on the E! Pre-show special, and his ass was talking about he don’t even need to promote this album because people are already waiting for it! WTF? He’s so full of himself. I used to love his chocolate ass. He’s fell off, though.

B, did a wonderful job. It was so good not seeing her jumping around and throwing herself to the floor. We all know she can sing and dance so she has nothing to prove. She gave a very grown and sexy performance.
Loved Mary, Jamie, Gwen and Jay-Z performances. The rest was trash.

Award shows are really starting to become boring and lack the spark of the old days. I hate that I missed Jamie Foxx. Beyonce had the crowd going with “Irreplaceable”. Jay-Z was not the best and I believe he was somewhat lipsyncing. Mary worked it and I can not wait for the new album. I gave up after Gwen. I really expected that song to be alot better than that.

I was out with some friends and this was playing on the screen where we were. We kept commenting (like 30 year old bitter men do) that the AMAs are nothing like they were back when Michael was bringing Webster to sit up front. But beyond the spectacle that was MJ, I just think that the AMAs are a reflection of the poor music quality nowadays. Piss poor music plus manufactured and packaged studio artists = piss poor awards show.
