Chilli and Akon stopped bt TRL studios yesterday. This past summer, Akon announced that he signed the TLC member on his label Kon Live Distribution for a four album deal.
Her album is tentatively scheduled for release in early 2007 and will involve collaborations with Akon, Missy and group mate T-Boz – as well as productions by Timbaland and Will.I.Am.

I’m not to sure that i can see chilli doing her own thing without a group to back her up. You never really heard too much of her lyrically in the tlc group but on a couple of tracks. I hope that she is able to prove her vocal skills in her solo project.

Chilli’s always been my fave from TLC. Sure T’s voice is unique and Left Eye’s flow was hot but Chilli was the one who cold sing and hold a note and she’s sexy (not that you could tell by this get-up). She needs to step it up styele-wise if she really wants to do this after all her time out of the spotlight and she needs to come out w/ something hot or else everyone will just forget about her.
Akon isn’t my favorite singer and I can’t listen to a whole album with his voice, but he does have some cool songs and lyrics and does a lot for his ppl! I give him his props.
Four albums, WTF? Don’t get me wrong, this woman can sing and dance. But, I don’t think I could get all the way through one solo album….but time will tell.

I love Chili’s voice. She was the only one in TLC who could sing. Have y’all listened to any of their CDs lately?? T-Boz sounds like shit. I finally understood why my Mom hated listening to it. lol Chili sung most of the leads on Fan Mail and she sounded great.
