Chilli and Akon stopped bt TRL studios yesterday. This past summer, Akon announced that he signed the TLC member on his label Kon Live Distribution for a four album deal.
Her album is tentatively scheduled for release in early 2007 and will involve collaborations with Akon, Missy and group mate T-Boz – as well as productions by Timbaland and Will.I.Am.
I’ll reserve judgment on Chili’s album til I hear something but I feel like Lisa will be putting the curse on that project from above…cause there is no TLC without her or even a T or a C…..she was the creative spirit of that outfit….
Chili really does need to step it up stylewise…I hate and have hated that hair color on her…what is wrong with black? She’s in great shape if you caught her in Muscle and Fitness Hers but she’s hiding it here…why?
I have a potentially dumb question. Werent Chilli and T-Boz looking for a third girl to remake TLC? Didn’t they have a whole reality show competition type thing on some channel? Whatever happened to that?

Yeah, I, too, am skeptical about Chilli doing an entire CD solo. Futhermore, why did she wait soooo long to put one out?? I don’t know about her going solo. We’ll see.
Not 1 but 4 albums? Who in the world will listen to Chilli through 4 albums? I mean I used to like her back in the day but times have changed. Left Eye is gone, O’so Krispy on dope (or at least thats my assumption), and T-Boz still has that man voice that I have so outgrown. I wish Chilli all the success but I’m sorry. I will not be spending my money on buying a Chilli album. Snoop, Monica, JT, Lil Boosie maybe…but not Chilli.

I have heard Akons new album and its fire. He has a song called Mamma Africa its beautiful. Plus some other tracks like Never took the time and Cant Wait. Akon is a very talented artist, but that is just my opinion. More power to Chili, I never really cared for her but I hope she does well.

Firstly…”Smack That” beat is weak, but it was produced by Eminem, and “I wanna Love you” isn’t the best song on the LP either.
Shake Down, Never Took the Time, Mama Africa, I Can’t Wait, Tired of Runnin, and Once in a While, all good songs…not to mention Akon is dropping his song with Gwen Stefani early in 2007 from her album…great work on Akon’s part.

…she has everything against her…so it isn’t gonna be easy…but I think she’ll do her thing…one of those LPs with longevity…no instant smashes, but songs that grow throughout the year…like it would with a new artist. Akon & CHilli knows what they are doing.
Chilli is underrated, she has a voice on her, her downfall is, she will stay away from controversy and she will not sell sex, like other female singers.
Hearing that she’s coming out with a cd just makes me miss Left-Eye

Akon is very talented, he makes his own beat, he can play any kind of instruments he comes across to and he’s got a unique voice. No wonder why he is collaborating with top artists such as Elton Jonh, Phills Collins just to name a few. He is very versatile and he is not limited to only one particular music. So y’all need to quit hating on the African brother and give him all the props he deserves, right now he is the number on the charts and he ‘s got two hit songs already. Just tell me how many artits are as talented as him, give him a few years he gonna be just like R. kelly. Right now the cheddar is flowing and his smart self is taking advantage of the situation. what does it matter what she had on. Just because she wasn’t dressed like a slut with her butt hanging out doesn’t mean that she’s any less talented. Chilli is what you would call a real and true artist. She makes music because she loves it and has a true passion for it, not because of her ego or for the fame. I think she has a pretty tone to her voice unlike some people that like to scream to get their point across. Let’s face it… No girl group can compare nor be as original and as real as TLC was in their day. And most of the female artists out now are a joke.
