Marriage…sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t I don’t know why these even shock me anymore…it does seem like every 2 seconds we are hearing about a divorce. It is very hard work, and some people just get tired of putting in work…

Why is everyone calling hollywood??? I live nowhere near hollywood and the people in my city get divorced like crazy. Do ur research peeps its society as a whole. When the divorce rate is damn near 50%– the celebs in hollywood can not be the ones making that average so high! Society has a problem- the fact that we run from problems. I know plenty of poeple who have gotten divorced without really trying to work things out. Its just easier to run away than to deal. C’est la Vie…..

I think it’s a running trend. A couple of years ago I don’t remember who it was, probably Jlo and Ben A. said they were getting married and everyone in Hollywood followed suit, because of all the attention being thrown their way.

In 2006, Brad and Jennifer I think started the trend of divorce and everyone jumped on the bandwagon. I cannot even count the number of divorces going down in black or white Hollywood on both my hands and half my toes.

I don’t know the full extent of what’s going on with Chris, but I do know most of these stars are just slaves to the media.

How do you after 2 years (Jessica and Nick) decide you don’t like each other. Your butts should have figured out before you said “I do.”

These problems didn’t just show themselves one day. There were signs or hints before and saying “I do” means you accept that challege.

That’s like an battered women saying he just changed all assudden. No honey, he was probably controlling the relationship before you got married. And many of them look back and I should have saw this or that.

I’m not condemning thoses situations, because I don’t justify harm to no one, but in Hollywood divorce be over some of the most frivolous shit.

You can fall out of “romantic” love with someone, but if you’ve COMMITTED yourself to that person and stand by your vows, you can work (gasp) to get that “romantic” love back…

(I know that there are extreme cases for divorce, but more often than not, most those we’ve heard about have been over trivial things.)

That’s sad but it’s not just black Hollywood couples it’s Hollywood couples period because they are always in the news. Divorce is on the rise everywhere these days.

It’s a shame. I am having second thoughts about marriage myself. Really….With my generation, I don’t personally know of any successful marriages. Not even my parents because both are divorced and re-married.

As someone who was slated to say “I do” in 2005, I’m glad as hell I didn’t. Nine years and 2.5 of them under the same roof = Bullshi!t. I don’t think I even believe in marriage anymore. My parents divorced when I was 3 and i’m still trying to get over how two pwople can come toegther and NOT make it work. Marriage is just hard you really have to be in for the long haul or just don’t bother. What’s sad about this situation is there are two little girls invloved.

I think divorce should be illegal. People are not taking marriage seriously. This way you will really think before jumping the broom if this person is the one for you. People need to understand that marriage takes work and patience. God has to be in these relationships and when you don’t have God, your relationship will fade very quickly. Marriage will never work if people can’t except that it takes work and more than love to last a lifetime.

For me, the main thing that did my marriage in was Friends (i.e. Her Girlfriends) and her assumption that I was out Fucking Around All the time (She was Very Possessive and Jealous of my relationship w/ my family and friends)

I am not surprised about the divorce. I am surprised the marriage lasted this long. Chris Rock never seemed that thrilled about being married and having children. I think she thought if she had children he would stay home more. With all the beautiful women in the world ,why settle for her? I always felt that he could do better.

How can this be true, when they were both on Oprah today promoting his new movie? This rumor has been around for months. So what’s really going on?
