CIARA: THE EVOLUTION
A 30 second sampler of Ciara’s new album, “Ciara: The Evolution” has leaked, and I am pleasantly surprised. I’m not going to post all of the snippets, because I don’t think snippets do songs justice. But Ciara’s worked with a little bit of everyone on this album. From Polow Da Don, to The Neptunes, to Jazze Pha, to The Clutch to Will.I.Am, whereas her last album, “Goodies,” was more restricted. I can’t wait to hear the finished products, because I think Ciara has definitely evolved as an artist.

I watched the Ciara Video called PROMISE the other day…
I honestly can’t figure out what the big fuss is about….
Has anyone noticed besides me that Ciara can’t sing ???
I mean she can hold a tune, she’s just not a great singer…
And as far as that Promise Video goes, I much rather see MYA jump around and dance seductivly than watch Ciara….
Something about her irks me..I can’t figure it out…Maybe it because she rely too much on her “Sexy” instead of her talent (or lack thereof).

I respect ciara a lot for following her dream, I have that same dream, and it’s extremely hard to keep yourself going, her music aside, she seems like a very determined young lady, i wish her success!

I can say that I am not a Ciara fan, but I believe she is going to be very big. The reason I say this is because she is beginning to draw a lot of negative attention that all popular celebrities get. Once you’re talked about all the time, then you know you’ve made it.
With that said, I wish Ciara the best of luck with her new cd.

From the snippets I can’t say i’m that impressed. But I do like Promise, and she has become a better artist. I’ve said some negative stuff about her, but hell normal people have to deal with it. I know her dream is to sing (even though she is clearly not that talented in that) but she makes her music sound damn good. Every song climbs the chart quickly. So I hop The Evolution does well.
Her personality I can’t get with. She claims to be too innocent, with saying sex before marriage isn’t right. But they way she dances says come and get me (especially in the promise video when she’s on the wall). But hell sex sells.
And stop comparing her to Aaliyah. Everybody can dance nowadays. That doesn’t mean that they are trying to be her. But the “Get Up” video reminded me of “Try Again”. “Promise” is almost a Dup of Aaliyah. But that’s her style, so work it.

She’s an entertainer. Promise is a hot song and some of the tracks here I like. “Bang It Up,” etc… I think it’s all good stuff. I wish her much success. You can be sexy without having sex– so just because she makes sexy videos or whatevs doesn’t mean she gets down with the get down or maybe she does. But, honestly what parent would let their kid listen to Ciara if she advocated sex. You have to use your head about things.

Can’t quite put my finger on it and I know it’s not the fact that she can’t sing because the industry will ALWAYS have jerk-offs at music companies signing people who can’t even hold a tune for some reason…I have learned to just change the channel in that case

~I already have both…they are great. Especially Robin Thicke…his album is wonderful. I’ve been a solid Tamia fan since 1997.
Did anyone know that Robin Thicke actually worked on the “Confessions” album by Usher? Didn’t know that until I popped Confessions into my computer and scrolled over a song…and his name popped up!

I’m another one that can’t judge an album by snippets, so I’ll have to wait until I hear the full songs to give a review.
To those that feel the need to keep bringing up how Ciara can’t sings, WE KNOW THIS! You’re not saying anything. I don’t think anybody is trying to make Ciara out to be a great vocalist. But some people like her as a entertainer (she is good at that) and feel her songs are cool.
And some of us that like her also like Robin, Bilal, Jaguar, etc. It’s ok to like different types of music and artists.

CiCi is not a singer but an entertainer. I love her to death but, some of the beats and lyrics sound bubble-gummish(is that a word..who cares. is now). That’s what I’m taking from the snippets. She’ll go far because she’s pretty and has the moves. I wish her the best.

As for CiCi, she is not the greatest singer by any means but she does have an edge to her. Her lyrics and beats are catchy and they obviously appeal to the mainstream. She’s not a timeless singer but she’ll definitely shine for sometime to come. GO make that money, CiCi.
