I hope that a lot of us watch this program tonight or whenever, and dialogue with one another, especially after the recent shooting in New York of the brother leaving his bachelor party, just hours before he was to be married (50 bullets) and the elderly lady shot down in her home by the police. All of this happen within the same week. We are some of the most beautiful and smartest people ever to walk this earth, but we need to wake up! Time is running out and there’s not much leftovers from the civil rights struggles from the past that protect our future to come. We really need to step up the game to a whole new level. FYI: In the recent elections across the United States, in Michigan AFFIRMATIVE ACTION was over turned. That is some scary s…! Please pass it on.

We are so use to seeing him preform that it suprises most to see that softer, intellectual Dave step out of the limelight. This man was raised by strong, intelligent, community leaders (His father, William, was a professor of voice and music at Antioch College in Yellow Springs & his mother, Yvonne Seon ,a Unitarian Universalist minister).
If you take the ime to dissect some of his stand-up & look a bit deeper into his skits, you’ll see that their are some really compelling truths that needs to be addressed in America.
Dave is deeper than the 50 mil that Comedy Central was so easily willing to give him, & I look forward to seeing him follow in his parents footsteps as a strong Community activist!

For some reason I don’t feel like watchin…oh well.

With all the negitive & ghetto mess.com we have to endure as black folks…thank God for Maya Angelou, no wonder the word Angel is in her name! If I was to ever meet her, I would probably bow, she is what a black queen is in my book….props to Dave for this one!

Because Dave is so comedic, people often overlook how intelligent he is and how aware he is of social issues that affect African Americans; he’s far smarter than people give him credit for. I completely get what Ms. Angelou means when she says the two are ’soulmates’. What she means is far more profound than the romantic sense of the word.

I love Maya and I love Dave! And I’m sure that the two of them meeting each other is an experience neither will soon forget.

I watched this show last night on the sundance channel and it was very good. i love to hear maya angelo speak. I have read all of her books and that woman is wisdom personified if I ever saw it. And her life story is such an inspiration. I hope she’s around for another 77 years. And dave although comedic is a very deep brother. I love seeing that side of him.

This show place me somewhere i have never been. It makes me look at life four way and not just one.
