When you make derogatory statements like that about anybody, no matter who you are, you are only hurting yourself. It is a reflection of you and shows your true self, along with what things get under your skin. A virtuous person is able to control his or her own anger and remain respectful under uncomfortable situations. When you resort to something like disrespectful name calling, you are not hurting the other person, you are hurting yourself by opening up and showing the world your weakness and immaturity. Calling someone a derogatory term does not, infact, hurt the other person as much as it hurts you. Words like “nigger” never reflect the person who are labeled as that. It doesn’t say anything about the person, which is why “Kramer” only damaged himself. When you use a word like that, it is truly a reflection of YOU, because you had to resort to using it.
