OH NO HE DIDN’T! JUSTIN DISSES JANET?

Tuesday, November 14, 2006

justinjanet.jpg

I’ve just received a couple of questions about an apparent Justin diss on my girl Janet? So I decided to do a little research on it to see if this young man would have the guts to do such a thing, and by golly…it looks like we may have another episode of BEEF on our hands.

According to a post on ohnotheydidn’t, on a new Justin track that has leaked recently, his verse starts off a little something like this:

Could you speak up and stop mumbling
I dont think you’re even clear
When you’re sitting on the top
it’s hard to hear you from way up there.
I saw you tryin to act cute on TV
“Just let me clear the air.”
We missed you on the charts last week
Damn that’s right, you wasn’t there

Timbaland, Nelly Furtado, & Justin Timberlake - Give It To Me (full) - LISTEN/DL

Now what or who does it sounds like he’s talking about? Here’s a hint…check out the interview of Janet on Oprah

I won’t even speak on the whole situation, all I know is Justin needs to bring humble back.

Good Afternoon archuletachick !!

I think Hiliary Clinton should run for President in 2008, and I think it would be a GREAT ideal if she asked Barack Obama to be her Vice President (so he could get some training..he really is kind of new to public office..).

A Clinton Obama ticket would be IMPOSSIBLE to beat !!!

people need to get off justin’s jock

why do we make music about race?
lenny kravitz and macy gray dont get airplay on black stations cause people think their music is too “white”.

justin doesn’t need black producers to be a success. have we forgotten that he was a multiplatinum selling international superstar before going solo???

janet is an icon. we all know that. however, her time is passed. MTV ban or no ban, she doesn’t create hot music anymore and listeners just aren’t buying it anymore.
however, justin had one of the biggest opening weeks of the year AND his album has already spawned two number one hits (both are still top 5).
justin is clearly at the top and janet is lookin up at him.
she’s probably bangin his new album as we speak. since her album sold so poorly, i hope she doesn’t go hang herself with a “velvet rope”.

meanwhile, he’s laughing all the way to the bank.
and prepping for his grammy performance

===============================================

Let me try to answer your question this way! If you know anything about the entertainment business, you’d know that there are standards for private and public boadcast! The video on MTV and VH1 are governed by standards different than the playboy channel! And, even though the playboy models were “half” naked, (I know you were exaggerating) they still met the standards for public TV PG-13 or NC-17!

Those videos are far and above regulations than what Janet orchastrated on national TV superbowl Sunday! The moral majority would be embarrased to watch naked Janet after Sunday service, but not as concerned if you or I paid $12.95 to order playboy into the privacy of your home!

Don’t compare his families responded to his videos with their response to what went on that Sunday! I don’t mind pissin in the shower with my Boo, but you’ll never see us pissin in public! If he weren’t featured, his family would never tune into the channels that she his videos!

@ #382– I agree, we shouldn’t make music about race, but the fact is people still lump music together in certain categories

Why is it that Macy Gray, Lenny Kravitz or even the Black Eyed Peas can’t get play on Black stations? Is it because we classify that music as “white” music?

But if Britney Spears, Justin or any other white artist does a song produced by the Neptunes or Timbaland, it gets radio play on both stations.
Is it because the song is hot or because it sounds “black”?

Clinton’s Popularity Up in State, Even Among Republicans
By RAYMOND HERNANDEZ
Published: February 22, 2005

Remember Hillary Rodham Clinton and the conventional wisdom about how polarizing a figure she is? Well, think again.

Recent polls have shown that Mrs. Clinton, the junior senator from New York, may have turned a corner politically, sharply reducing the number of voters in the state who harbor negative views of her.

Pollsters say the change is remarkable for a woman who has long been shadowed by a seemingly implacable group of voters - commonly referred to as Hillary haters - who dislike her, no matter what she does, and who pose a potential obstacle to any presidential ambitions she may harbor.

A measure of how far Senator Clinton has come was on display Sunday when Senator John McCain, Republican from Arizona, said on “Meet the Press” that he thought Mrs. Clinton, a Democrat, would make a good president, although he said that he would support his party’s nominee. She returned the compliment, saying when asked by the program’s host, Tim Russert, that Senator McCain would be a good president.

The changing view of Mrs. Clinton coincides with a period following the November election in which she offered a series of speeches filled with references to faith and prayer, while putting less emphasis on polarizing social issues like gay marriage and abortion.

The result of these comments has been an emerging image of Senator Clinton that is far different from the caricature that Republicans have painted of her: that of a secular liberal whose stances are largely at odds with a public that they say is concerned about the nation’s moral direction.

Political analysts say the themes Senator Clinton has emphasized - combined with the hard-working image she has sought to project - appear to be causing large numbers of voters to re-evaluate her in New York, although not nationally, where the number of people who disapprove of her is still high. In a Marist poll last fall, roughly 4 in 10 Americans had negative views of her.

Her progress appealing to once skeptical New Yorkers was illuminated by a New York Times poll released last week that showed that 21 percent of New Yorkers had an unfavorable opinion of how she is handling her job, down significantly from the 29 percent of voters who expressed similar sentiments in October 2002.

(In two recent back-to-back surveys, pollsters for Quinnipiac University, in Hamden, Conn., also found a notable decline in the number of New York voters who expressed a negative view of Mrs. Clinton.)

At the same time, Senator Clinton’s job approval rating has increased to 69 percent from 58 percent in October 2002, according to the Times poll. That is higher even than the 63 percent approval rating of Charles E. Schumer, the senior senator from New York who was re-elected last year to a second term with a record 71 percent of the vote and who is known for his attention to upstate concerns.

The new attitudes toward Mrs. Clinton may be forcing Republicans to reconsider how to deal with an opponent they had until now viewed as an enticing target because of the depth of negative feelings she inspires among large numbers of New York voters.

Independent political analysts say her strong standing may give pause to any big-name Republican thinking about challenging her in 2006, chief among them Rudolph W. Giuliani and Gov. George E. Pataki. In fact, a Quinnipiac poll released earlier this month found that Mrs. Clinton would defeat both Mr. Pataki and Mr. Giuliani in head-to-head contests.

“There isn’t a long line of opponents forming to take her on in 2006,” said Lee M. Miringoff, the director of the Marist Institute for Public Opinion in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.

But New York Republican leaders say that they are eager to challenge Senator Clinton, especially since Republicans from around the country will almost certainly provide plenty of money and other campaign support to defeat her, as they did in 2000.

New York Republicans also say that the senator has had a free ride so far and that her opponent in the campaign will have an easy time driving up her negative ratings - and halting her rise in the polls - by pointing out what they describe as her poor record of accomplishment and her liberal ideology.

Poll: Obama now trails only Clinton on ‘08 list
POSTED: 8:38 a.m. EST, November 2, 2006
Adjust font size:
WASHINGTON (CNN) — Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois, who has recently said he is considering a bid for his party’s presidential nomination, now trails only Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton on list of potential Democratic candidates in 2008, according to a new CNN poll released Wednesday.

On the Republican side, Sen. John McCain of Arizona is running neck and neck with former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani among Republicans, the poll found.

Obama gets support from 17 percent of registered Democrats, vaulting him into second place, ahead of former Vice President Al Gore, Sen. John Edwards of North Carolina and Sen. John Kerry of Massachusetts, according to the poll. (How Dems, GOPs rate)

On October 22, Sen. Barack Obama said that he may run for president in 2008, despite previous assertions that he would complete his current six-year senatorial term, which ends in 2011. (Full story)

“I would say I am still at the point where I have not made a decision to pursue higher office, but it is true that I have thought about it over the last several months,” the 45-year-old Democratic senator from Illinois told NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

In January, Obama told NBC that he would not run for president or vice president in 2008.

Asked by NBC’s Tim Russert about his earlier stance, Obama said, “That was how I was thinking at that time.”

“I don’t want to be coy about this, given the responses that I’ve been getting over the last several months,” he said. “I have thought about the possibility, but I have not thought about it with the seriousness and depth that I think is required.”

Clinton’s share of the Democratic voters has fallen from 38 percent in September to 28 percent — still enough to make her the front-runner. (Read the complete poll results — PDF)

Obama appears to be drawing his support mostly from Clinton and Gore, who has fallen from 19 percent in September to 13 percent.

The poll was carried out before Kerry’s “botched” jab at President Bush that came out as a being a slap at U.S. troops in Iraq. Kerry, was at the bottom of the first tier of Democratic candidates, with 12 percent. (Watch the falling stars of Kerry and Sen. George Allen — 1:53

On Monday, Kerry, opening a speech to students in California with a series of jokes aimed at Bush, said, “You know education, if you make the most of it, you study hard, you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. If you don’t, you get stuck in Iraq.”

On Wednesday afternoon, Kerry said in a statement he regretted that his words were “misinterpreted to wrongly imply anything negative about those in uniform.” (Full story)

On Tuesday, after Republicans pounced on the comment as disrespectful of the nation’s military, a Kerry aide said the senator had “mangled” what was intended to be a criticism of President Bush.

Sen. Evan Bayh of Indiana, Sen. Joseph Biden of Delaware, Sen. Russ Feingold of Wisconsin, New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson and Iowa Gov. Tom Vilsack are all in the low single digits.

McCain, Giuliani in virtual tie
On the Republican side, there is a virtual tie for first place, with 29 percent of registered GOPers expressing preference for Giuliani and 27 percent opting for McCain.

McCain has picked up 6 points of support since September, with Giuliani holding steady.

Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich of Georgia is the only other Republican to make it into double digits, with 12 percent.

Sen. George Allen of Virginia, who is embroiled in a tough re-election fight, was at 7 percent last month, but pulls just 2 percent now.

The telephone poll of 873 registered voters — 472 people who identified themselves as Democrats or leaning Democrat and 401 who identified themselves as Republican or leaning Republican — was carried out last Friday through Sunday for CNN by Opinion Research Corp.

Questions asked of Democrats have a sampling error of plus or minus 4.5 points; those asked of Republicans have a sampling error of plus or minus 5 points.

However, in a political climate that’s calling for more cooperation between our two leading parties, Hilary may be considered too hardcore of a liberal dem. I think when it actually comes time for the primaries, there’s not going to be very much support for her unless she works on that

I’m not against a woman president, and I know Hilary could do a competent job as Commander in Chief. But at the same time, she was a very liberal Democrat who has calculated a smart move to the center over the last couple of years.

And it has done wonders for her public image, but she won’t win over any new voters who hate her. They know she is deep down a Liberal and that will scare the Conservative USA.

This new presidential election will only be won by winning over the undecided voters. Because I think that the Dems and Republicans will vote with their parties no matter what this coming election.

Republican’s will probably want a real Republican in office instead of this Karl Rove produced “Compassionate Conservative” born again Christian machine who has fumbled repeatedly over the course of the last 6 years.

And Dems will want to continue the momentum of this November and get justice for the stolen elections of 2000 and 2004.

Bottom line, while I’m for a Hilary presidency, I am also for doing what’s best for the party. And that would be to put the right person up for nomination who could win his/her base easily, win over undecided voters, and maybe even steal support from the other side.

I think Gore has a better chance at doing that.

Damn that was long. My bad.

Let me revert back.

hmm, Bill. I see you got us pegged uh?

I don’t know that women are afraid of conflict though. I think we’d more likely avoid war because we’re more likely to personalize conflict. We can’t have the whole country involed.

Bill Said:
I SPECIALIZE in the study of women…

I love women SO MUCH, that I make an effort to understand women…You should see me reading my wife’s Essence Magazine….

I heard TD Jakes say that since a Man is the woman’s covering, that the Man should know, understand and appreciate EVERYTHING there is to know about a women….

Bishop Jakes says that a Man should know how his wife’s body operates, understand his wife’s mood swings, recognize when she has her time of the month, and adjust to her mood swings, etc, etc….

Woman is GOD Gift to MAN
the way man treats his WOMAN (to cherish, HONOR, respect and cover HER), is OUR Gift back to God !!

And for the last time justin can not dance. Have you seen this man perform hes stiiff as hell. he’s still stuck on those Nsync robotit rythemless nation moves.

Ima tell you like this Im not even a huge usher fan but I cant wait till Usher comes back so justin can go sit his ass down some where. And timberlan has lost some cool points with me.

Im sick of him trying to ghettofie white artist and pushing them out onto the world. Who the fuck was the dumbass that said Justin grew up on the same streets as Al green I should slap yo ass for even putting them in the same sentence. We all know theres a dofferennce between southern whites and southern blacks so dont get me started.

I’m sorry, Janet black ass been running after Justin (even after the fiasco) “I would still make a song with him” UGH. Thats how black women in LA are, they’ll jump over 3 niggas with a skateboard to get to a white man. I don’t feel sorry for her. I guess she waiting for him to kick her in the ass. Those Jacksons have always downplayed being Black. Now we the only ones that will embrace them. Sometimes Balck people get on my last nerve. We need to send some of these defctive black folks back to Africa.

She was not mumbling. She was just speaking softly like she always does. I understand why she was hurt because he was a part of that too and he just left her out there to get “ripped apart” by whomever the idiots were making a big deal over a damn titty. People’s kids see way more than that on tv. Trust. So fuck Justin with his wannabe ass. He’s not great.

Just had to say a few things about this current issue. 1) For those who feel like Janet’s success was all a gimmick, then I say to you that you are sadly misguided or simply outright misinformed. You don’t have the world reknown success that Janet has by being a gimmick. If this is you point you make, then hell there are a bunch of gimmicks gracing the airwaves these days and in days past like “That’s Just My Baby Daddy”, “Chicken Noodle Soup” (With that dam soda on the side), “Laffy Taffy”, “Lean Wit It Rock It”. These are some of the dumbest songs that have ever been mad. But this is the kind buffoonry that our community seems so in tune with. This is also why many in the hip hop community and in the black community as a whole have to fight so hard for credibility. This lady has been in the game for over 3 decades (That’s over 30yrs for those who don’t know your math). You don’t last that long by being a gimmick, there has to be some semblance of substance.
2) For Justin Timberfag to insult anyone is only a testimony of who he really is. The careers of Janet and Prince together are older than his grandparents. It was bad enough that he didn’t get blamed for his role in the superbowl incident, he should have left well enough alone. But no, not Justin Timberlacking, he has to try to diss somebody. And the way some of you come on here with your comments, you are all for what he did. And who’s playing a dam race card? For those of you who like to say that crap, if you don’t learn anything in life as a black person, know this: we as blacks don’t have to place the “I’m Black” card, because the America we live in never let’s us forget it no matter who we are or how far we go up the success latter. America was founded that way. Justin is “White” artist using his “white male priviledge” (which was grant just for being white) to just what he’s doing. He’s borrowing from our culture and many in our culture to garner his success. Typical. 3) Last and final point I make is that Janet is one of the main reasons Justin is as successful as he is today. When he was with N’Sync when they relative unknown, it was Janet who gave exposure when she took them on one her world tours. After that, everyone knew who they were. She did the same thing for Usher in his early days and look at him now, a megastar. When you look at videos today like Justin’s or Usher’s you can’t help but think of the Janet’s and Michael’s influence because when it comes to video, their efforts are unmatached. Janet may not be as popular as she used to be but that’s to be expected. But know that the work she’s put in has not been equalled by any of today’s artists who we will more than likely not remember in the next 5yrs let along 30 plus. Gimmicks don’t achieve this, talent does. I digress.

She trued to use Jermaine Dupri as soon as that CD tanked she was out of there. Justin just called her ass out . this is not about him being white. White people don’t have to walk around black people. He can diss her ass just like anyone else. She deserved it.
