SNOOP BOOKED ON ‘WEAPON’ CHARGES
Tuesday, November 7, 2006

Yesterday, Snoop turned himself in on those “collapsible baton” charges. He was booked on one felony count of possession of a deadly weapon filed after security officers at John Wayne Airport found a collapsible baton (which is considered a deadly weapon) in his carry-on luggage.
According to his spokesperson, Meredith O’Sullivan, “Snoop was promptly released on bail and welcomes an expedited trial which will reveal that these charges are completely unwarranted.” Bail was set at $150,000.
If convicted, the 35-year-old rapper could be sentenced to three years in prison. Click here to read more..

This incident happened almost two months ago, and they decided the press charges now? What’s up with that?

People like wesley snipes are given easy treatment and people like Snoop are given harsh treatment just because he has courage to say F*ck tha Police. I think its kind of unfair to him. What police should do is find some real terrorists who are hell bent on placing bombs and shit in the planes or people like snipes who are sucking other people’s money.

Take a Good CLOSE look at Snoop’s Mug Shot.
What you have to understand is Snoop is a Substance Abuser…What SANE person whould attempt to carry a CONCELED WEAPON on a plane in the wake of 9/11 ???
You can’t even carry spray bottles (Perfume, Cologne, Deordarant, Air Freshner) on a plane these days…
I fly at least ONCE a month to Georgia…I have to stand in these LONG ASS lines just to have my carry on bag checked..Now, because of Snoop Doggy dog, they are probably going to take my laptop computer apart !!!(the collapesable baton was fond in Snoop’s Laptop Bag).
Snoop is making things worse for us frequant Flyers !!

LMFAO @ Bill…I know right!
Snoop needs to grow up…what kind of example is he setting for his sons? I wonder what kind of advice he gives them? 1st he puts the family through hell with his “pimpin” obsession (ya’ll know when he walked out on their mom…only to beg her back later)…and then this shyt?
Snoop get it together babes.

A Baton is a “deadly weapon”? Since when?!
If that’s the case, then a broom handle should be a deadly weapon but that doesn’t stop them from putting it in black folks hands does it?…

From what I understand, this “weapon” was not even on his person. It was in his CHECKED luggage. He was not trying to smuggle it on the plane. If that is the case, this is complete bullshit.

He’s an idiot. As someone who flies commercially he should know the rules and know that he is not exempt from them. If he wants to carry a collapsible baton then perhaps he should charter a private plane. Checked luggage or not…rules are rules. Especially after 9/11.

This could have all been avoided, so its his loss. Hopefully he learns his lesson. But it is kind of dumb that they wait all this time to press charges. Being a celeb sure does have its perks.

@ # 18 - Audwin:
Yes, a baton can be a deadly weapon. Maybe you’re thinking of a baton that cheerleaders twirl. This is not that kind of baton. This was a collapsable baton - like the one LAPD beat the sh!t out of Rodney King with.

What else is new? Rappers stay getting killed, getting in trouble with weapons/drugs and/ or being around someone who is shot or killed.
Not a good look.

#26 - why is 3 years too harsh? If it was any other person they’d be going away for longer. Besides he’s been in so much trouble lately. He needs to grow up…does he really want his own children following his lead? What’s the motto around his house “Do as I say not as I do?” C’mon enough’s enough. He should act his age and show some maturity. He can’t stay a kid all his life trying all sorts of ridiculous antics.

You can take the n**** out of the country, but you can’t take the country out of the n****. How stupid is he? He’s got the world at his feet, but that’s not enough.
I worked with gang members for twenty years, and their allegiance to that life was mesmerizing. It was as if they’d been hypnotized. They had standard actions and answers for absolutely every situation.
I guess he figures God is on his side because he’s got “Bishop” with him….
