Loving Ms Tyra though who doesn’t know who she is? If I saw her on the street being homeless I’d be like Tyra what in hell are u doing? Tyra really can’t be disguised because she’s TYRA! This is actually a pretty photo of her. She does deal with serious issues. Instead of her interviewing a homeless person, she’s portraying one to see what its like first hand. Instead of her interviewing an obese person in the dating game, she takes on being one. Goddamn Tyra B. I’m loving this chica!

HOWEVER, she needs to stop making all of her shows center around her life. The funniset was when she decided to go undercover as a fat woman!! She had the nerve to cry about being made fun of in a fat suit while sitting next to real life obese women. They actually consoled her…now that’s pretty damn self-centered.

But they have friends and flash lights and have had warm showers (they dont eat)…they dont have to beg for change or cover up with cardboard boxes or eat from trashcans (THAT WUD HAVE BEEN TOO XTREME FOR TYRA TO DO AND I DONT BLAME HER ONE BIT FOR NOT)…

and after that 10 hours, they can go back to their rooms, change clothes and eat a hot meal…

so IMO this is the closest that one can come to being homeless w/o actually being homeless.

Tyra is doing good things for our community. I think we as a whole need to stop comparing her to Oprah. Oprah is in her 50s and Tyra is in her 30s, so there’s a difference.

When Oprah got started, she used to bash men all the time. She gradually matured and started having segments that reached all, instead of just women and gay men.

I don’t think that Tyra would necessarily be recognized. I seriously doubt that many people actually look at homeless peoples faces. Most people would steer in the other direction.

Someone should really brng awareness to these low-run, so-called homeless shelters and family shelters for homeless families:

I volunteered in a soup kitchen for one—Metropolitan Ministries (tho’ I won’t name the city) and the workers there were piling their plates up; yet, they made sure that the residents choose either/or for some dishes and that they were only given a spoon full (yet 20 workers there had about 2-3 plates each)…then, when supper was done, they would stack even higher plates and THROW THE REST AWAY.

Then, I have seen first hand what happens when you donate to the less fortunate…I tend not to where a lot of new things that i get for one reason or another, yet I donated (along with others I know) serveral new—TAG STILL ON THEM—items to many a homeless shelter/ needy outreach center only to come back to donate more and see some stingy ass heifer who works there wearing the new things that I donated and the actual needy ppl rocking sweat pants and baggy tees—-Homeless ppl should have style too!

I just feel that any national exposure that can be given to the issue of homelessness that is geared towards helping the homeless is GREAT! Like I said Team Tyra!

But I liked Ty-ty in Higher Learning, Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and Life-Size (yes, I watched that movie everytime I saw it in the guide on Disney).

She’s good. But now adays, I wonder what role she could play (I could see her as Toni, but she’s too tall for the other cast members)

She was also good on All of Us when she played Robert’s transgender brother (or was that Derrick’s brother?) Im not even sure of the show now! LOL—but it was UPN 4 sho’
