Retired supermodel TYRA BANKS looks as if she’s fallen on hard times since quitting the catwalk but she’s actually just filming a segment on homelessness for her TV talk show. This episode will air this Thursday, November 9th..
After her friend, Will Smith invited Banks to a screening of his upcoming movie, THE PURSUIT OF HAPPYNESS – about a homeless father struggling to survive – the former model felt compellled to investigate America’s dirty little secret – and she was staggered by her own experience. She spent a day on the streets with homeless people and generously rewarded a handful of struggling families she came across by giving them all a lifeline to a happier life. Following the experience, which was captured for the TYRA show, Banks made a personal donation to the Los Angeles Mission, an organization that provides hope and opportunity to homeless men, women and children in Los Angeles..

This looks like a shot from America’s Next Top Model or something. I’m sorry, but I can’t take Tyra seriously with these undercover things. Ever since she dressed up as a stripper, I’ve been like WTF?!
and people keep saying “so what, she’s helping community.” Her fake ass is doing this for ratings. There’s an illustration in the bible that talks about the poor widow who gave a measley offering to God (very little in terms of monetary value), and the rich man who gave a lot of money. God gave more credit to the widow because though she didn’t have much, she gave all that she had. See the widow truly made a sacrifice, what in reality, what did the rich man really SACRIFICE? Though God appreciated what the rich man gave, in his eyes, the offering that the poor widow was more valuable.
I say that to say, if you’re not doing things for the right reasons, does God really recognize that? So what you go out and give to charities, but are you doing it with the intent of gaining praise/admiration from others? What does God really think about those who give gifts such as these, don’t know, just know tyra’s a fake person, and i can see right through her. You can tell she’s fake cause one minute she’ll be all smiling, and the next she’ll have a all together different facial expression (now this is the real her) and she’s being very critical! Fake heffa. It’s hard to be fake all day long, and observant people pick up on that about her. That’s why she can’t keep a man, they find out the real her, and they’re outta there.
Okay #90 Damien- yeah they said she donated money to whoever, has it ever dawned on anybody why the celebrities donate so much? Not just becuase they can afford it and the situation touches their heart so deeply, THEY GET A TAX RIGHT OFF! I’m not saying that’s why all of them do it. So, like i said, give away some houses. If she wants to be like Oprah that’s the way to go. Yeah Oprah is dramatic and all, but she is really down for the cause.
Damn this website is full of haters. And by that I mean people who act like they have little or no self-esteem so they make themselves feel better by knocking other people and what they are good at and like to do. Not EVERYBODY. Just some. Everybody is good at something so instead of knocking and putting down what others are good at you should embrace yourself and put effort into what you’re good at instead of putting others down. I know this is a site for opionions and some have negative opinions of others but for those who just hate sound sad.

Actually, Tyra always talks about her admiration of Oprah, and has said before that she wants to be like Oprah…so comparing her to Oprah would be a complement to her.
I think that Tyra’s show is a little whitewashed sometimes, but I like her, I do watch the show very often, and she is really stepping it up in terms of show topics this season (she talked about some dumb ass shit last season).
But why does she keep having that girl Saaphyri from Flavor of Love 2 on her damn show?

She’s just trying to experiance some of what some homeless people experiance. Glasses? Most homeless people can’t afford glasses. Please. Unlike Oprah, she dosen’t just interview someone, pity then, give them a check and go back into her million dollar home at rest.

First of all, Tyra cheated on this “homeless” experiment because they just stayed on one little section of a street that looked empty as hell, wernt nobody really walking by or anything, and if somebody did walk by they looked like people that was about to go shopping, or on they way to work, not someobody thta look semi-threatening. Nothing was going on. She should have went to the straight up GUTTER and really get a taste for the experience, not some supervised-controlled environment. Do it right.
