Someone should really brng awareness to these low-run, so-called homeless shelters and family shelters for homeless families:

I volunteered in a soup kitchen for one—Metropolitan Ministries (tho’ I won’t name the city) and the workers there were piling their plates up; yet, they made sure that the residents choose either/or for some dishes and that they were only given a spoon full (yet 20 workers there had about 2-3 plates each)…then, when supper was done, they would stack even higher plates and THROW THE REST AWAY.

Then, I have seen first hand what happens when you donate to the less fortunate…I tend not to where a lot of new things that i get for one reason or another, yet I donated (along with others I know) serveral new—TAG STILL ON THEM—items to many a homeless shelter/ needy outreach center only to come back to donate more and see some stingy ass heifer who works there wearing the new things that I donated and the actual needy ppl rocking sweat pants and baggy tees—-Homeless ppl should have style too!

I just feel that any national exposure that can be given to the issue of homelessness that is geared towards helping the homeless is GREAT! Like I said Team Tyra!

tyra Is ok and her shows are always interesting. some of her shows always make me think about how i treat other people and should chill out sometimes.

First of all, everything she does she try to act all emotional and shit. Second, how about she expirement for more than a day, or a few hours, how about sleeping outside for a month or two, being fat for a month. Everything she does isn’t accurate because at the end of the day, it’s not real for her. Take some people that’s been living like that for years and years and tape them and give them a place to stay and food to eat as a payment,that’s doing something positive. She can fix people’s teeth and shit, try giving a person a home. She can help the people that already have, how about the ones that don’t. And don’t get me wrong, she is doing a semi good thing, but like i said, at the end of the day, when those camera’s go off, it’s over for her. She can go home in luxury.

Bravo Tyra! I don’t care if it’s for ratings or not. Any effort to shine a spotlight on this horrendous problem should bring kudos to any person who bring the effort.
This is a problem that all facets of society needs to take a stand to help. The governments can’t do it, the thieving churches only make a token effort.
I think it should be required that everyone visit the “Skid Row” in your hometown, at least once. I guarantee that that a good percentage of us would chip in to do something to help. And, believe me, it’s in everywhere.

The Homeless problem in LA is huge…the other day I was walking by a Bev Hills park and saw like 4 homeless ppl camped out and you have no idea how many times I get asked in a 30 min span for spare change….somewhere around 30…

Ya’ll gotta understand all this role playing is a JOB for Tyra, given to her by her producers to produce content for her show. I like Tyra over-all, but sometimes she is holier-than-thou, like when she had that Porn Star Tyra Banxxx on and told her to stop porn and stop using a version of her name. Tyra was BLESSED with model looks and body, so she can play homeless or fat and go back to her mansion and Jaguar at the end of the day.

and people keep saying “so what, she’s helping community.” Her fake ass is doing this for ratings. There’s an illustration in the bible that talks about the poor widow who gave a measley offering to God (very little in terms of monetary value), and the rich man who gave a lot of money. God gave more credit to the widow because though she didn’t have much, she gave all that she had. See the widow truly made a sacrifice, what in reality, what did the rich man really SACRIFICE? Though God appreciated what the rich man gave, in his eyes, the offering that the poor widow was more valuable.

I say that to say, if you’re not doing things for the right reasons, does God really recognize that? So what you go out and give to charities, but are you doing it with the intent of gaining praise/admiration from others? What does God really think about those who give gifts such as these, don’t know, just know tyra’s a fake person, and i can see right through her. You can tell she’s fake cause one minute she’ll be all smiling, and the next she’ll have a all together different facial expression (now this is the real her) and she’s being very critical! Fake heffa. It’s hard to be fake all day long, and observant people pick up on that about her. That’s why she can’t keep a man, they find out the real her, and they’re outta there.

Okay #90 Damien- yeah they said she donated money to whoever, has it ever dawned on anybody why the celebrities donate so much? Actually, Tyra always talks about her admiration of Oprah, and has said before that she wants to be like Oprah…so comparing her to Oprah would be a complement to her.

I think that Tyra’s show is a little whitewashed sometimes, but I like her, I do watch the show very often, and she is really stepping it up in terms of show topics this season (she talked about some dumb ass shit last season).

But why does she keep having that girl Saaphyri from Flavor of Love 2 on her damn show?

First of all, Tyra cheated on this “homeless” experiment because they just stayed on one little section of a street that looked empty as hell, wernt nobody really walking by or anything, and if somebody did walk by they looked like people that was about to go shopping, or on they way to work, not someobody thta look semi-threatening. Nothing was going on. She should have went to the straight up GUTTER and really get a taste for the experience, not some supervised-controlled environment. Do it right.
