WESLEY SNIPES WON’T SERVE ANY JAIL TIME..
Friday, November 3, 2006

Wow! I really thought his ass would be in prison for a long time. I mean he failed to file tax returns for six years, and cheated the government out of about 12 million dollars. Some ordinary Joe would have been locked up for a hot ass minute if they did that.
According to Variety, the actor will surrender to federal authorities when he returns to the U.S. next month. In return, he will receive no jail time and will be allowed to pay off his debt with a payment plan. The agreement also allows for Snipes both to continue working and to travel abroad.
WTF!!? It has to be great being a celeb. What about Ron Isley though? I know he is mad as hell.

Either it’s a set-up OR the gov’t is rewardin’ his black ass for betraying his own race. It’s fairly common knowledge that Wesley is a bigot against black women. They probably pattin’ his traitor ass on the back.

Our government is so corrupt…I am very sickened by the arrangement and I hate to even think about any of the specially funded programs that $12mil could have helped support over the past 6 years…and you are right, it must be nice to be a celebrity because if that was anyone else they would have found their a$$ in jail!

Rich people can always “make arrangements” to pay the IRS back because they are paying their money on the back end. They are not like us average Jo’s that get jacked every two weeks on the front end. You have absolutely NO bargaining power when they ALREADY have your money! See, they need him to cough it up. Big difference!

Same thing with the goverment: Do you know how much money Wesley Snipes’ movies Gross ???
He should be able to pay them back after doing 2 or 3 movies…..
Ron Isley isn’t selling records like he use to, which is probably why he didn’t get a similar deal (and he didn’t have a good lawyer….)

READ THIS PART IF NOTHING ELSE:
“His preparer was known to make illegal deductions,” Clay said. “From what I understand, the IRS checked out his clients and found Wesley Snipes on the list. They picked Snipes to send a message.”
NOW READ THE FULL STORY——-
Also charged with Snipes, star of “White Men Can’t Jump” and the “Blade” movies, were Eddie Ray Kahn, of Sorrento, Fla., and Douglas P. Rosile, of Venice, Fla. The indictment says Kahn, founder of American Rights Litigators and its successor, Guiding Light of God Ministries, promoted and sold fraudulent tax schemes.
Snipes’ arrest shows the importance of using qualified tax preparers and not being duped by people who make a living filing faulty tax returns, said Tim Clay, president of ABC Tax Consultants in Brighton.
“His preparer was known to make illegal deductions,” Clay said. “From what I understand, the IRS checked out his clients and found Wesley Snipes on the list. They picked Snipes to send a message.”
Rosile, a CPA, allegedly prepared fraudulent tax returns for ARL members. The indictment says Kahn and Rosile attempted through dishonest means to make it appear as if Snipes had no liability for federal income taxes when in fact he did.
As part of the scheme, according to the indictment, Kahn and Rosile prepared and filed two amended federal income tax returns for Snipes, fraudulently claiming refunds totaling nearly $12 million for 1996 and 1997 income taxes previously paid. Snipes was also accused of not filing federal income taxes from 1999 through 2004.
J. Wray Pearce, a partner with the Pearce Bevill accounting firm in downtown Birmingham, who has done taxes for 40 years, said it is not unusual for people to not file tax returns, especially those going through life-changing events like divorce, bankruptcy, health problems and loss of a job.
“Criminal investigations are rare and yet you see successful, wealthy people trying to get away with tax schemes perpetrated on IRS because they do not think avoiding income tax is a real crime,” Pearce said. “I have represented many clients who for various personal reasons quit filing and then IRS years later found them and they catch up. When you couple fraudulent deductions and shelters with failure to file, the IRS gets aggressive.”
Like Clay, Pearce thinks the IRS and federal officials are using a high-profile indictment against Snipes “as a showcase to deter others from this behavior.”

Wesley Snipes made 12 million dollars on the last Blade picture. Per every film he makes that is a hit…the average budget of a Blade film is about 50 million dollars, half of which gets taxed, one way or another. In DVD and video sales/rentals, cable, satelite, and broadcast television after market sales and merchandise product tie-ins. That’s worth about 200 million or more to the economy…and half of that money goes to the government. With all that cash being stimulated by Wesley Snipes film projects…the IRS nets half of the money…hence making Snipes more valuble to the IRS free than locked up in prison.
Nevertheless, Snipes intrusted his money to accountants who misdirected the money without his knowledge. If that very same thing happened to any of you…would you agree that you should be put in prison for an act of tax fraud commited by someone else…in your name…without your knowledge??? Well, the answer is a clear no!!!
The IRS, will now essentially act as Snipes’ business partner in the movie business. The more money Snipes and his films make, the more money the IRS makes…and the better off everyone is in terms of the positive impact to the economy over all.

It is a shame that people are so jealous. Folks who don’t make very much lie, steal and cheat every tax season when they claim other folks children and let other folks and family claim their children to get EIC, (for all of you __ahem honest folks Earned Income Credit) — 5 - 6000 or more after they get back the little pittance that they paid in….. There are even persons out here perping to have businesses and filing schedule C’s to claim losses so that they get the money they paid in back. Stop being so holier than thou, and admit it…. 38 mil ain’t 38 thousand, and on thirty eight thousand you aren’t paying very much if you have 2 children and are MFJ. If you had to pay between 11 - 20 thousand a year as some of us do, or 14 mil or more as Snipes still may have to, you would be searching out ways to KEEP YO’ MONEY TOO! GET OVER IT PEOPLE, AND BE TRUTHFUL…. STOP HATE’N.

It is far time that bloated egomaniacs liike Wesley Snipes and others get nailed to the wall for tax evasion - he should been given 10 years. We need to weed out the sleazy lawyers, inept judges, rampant corrupt police, lying politicians, crooked company ceo’s and other lowlifes including habitual criminals who are an abomination of human decency. Both Canada and United States do not go far enough to make crime pay. Often contemptible racist people in power, like cops get off scot free while chronically whining about stiffer sentences for criminals. We are too easy on them and others like illegal aliens immigrants. It is time that, Canada and USA start cleaning up their shit before telling others how to be civilized. Like Wesley Snipes, we need to hold people accountable and make examples of big-shots and take them down a few notches to restore morality and humanity. Enjoy the prison food Wesley, don’t bend over picking up the soap.

I think Mr. Snipes SHOULD NOT SERVE ANY TIME ! He hired people to handle these money matters and they screwed him.Should he have paid closer attention to his people and his money? Absolutely. But being trusting of your people and unaware of thier stupidity is not a crime. He was simply railroaded because he is rich, famous, and black.I am a white republican and I firmly believe this is why he was even prosecuted. Had it been Bill Gates or Bruce Willis ,for example,it would have been swept under the rug.But its still a crime to be black and wealthy in America

Jay your so stupid. He failed to even file an income tax return for 6 years. How is it his tax professionals fault. Either they where in on it, or he didnt bother to file because he didnt care. saying he ows the government money because he’s black is stupider than saying cheery’s grow in the air. If bruce willis or bill gates didnt pay taxes, the media would be all over them. Plus bill gates would never be so gready and selfish. The amount he gives to charity including considering his net worth is way greater than snipes would care to pay. snipes got of scot free. What white person, middle class, or upper class person (making less than $10 million a year) get of for failing to file a tax return?
