Three time Grammy nominated singer and songwriter Corinne Bailey Rae performed in concert on Wednesday in NY. We’ve never really posted about her and I thought this would be a good time.

But of course his record company didn’t promote the album that well. I think it was his best CD yet, probably tied with “Pleasures You Like” which also didn’t get promoted well. The Christmas album is okay. But he does have a new song on there called “Hold You Down” which is the sh*t! He is my baby and all but I don’t like that facial hair and long hair either. That Carrine Bailey cannot sing live. I seriuosly don’t know what all the hype is about. My husband and I were watching her perform live on BET Jazz, and all we could do was frown. She’s a gimmick, and next year she will be singing along side Jon B. They compared her to Jill Scott, and sorry she is a Jill Not.

I have seen Jon perform 3 times in the last 18 months, and he puts on a great show EVERYTIME! He’s new album, back to love is out next year. And the Christmas album is worth every penny, if only for his cover of Donny’s This Christmas.
