Love Janet, but hate the cover. These Europeans are taking this anorexia, thin-sh** a little far. As women grow older, their metabolism slows down and there is weight to be gained. A 40 year old should not have a body of a 20 year old because that was 20 years ago. Let’s get real, a lot of living happens in 20 years. I long for the day that a woman can be celebrated for her aging beauty. None of us are who we once were, and getting older is not such a bad reality. Youth was never made for longevity. It is what it is. Older women of substance are more than two leaves of lettuce on a plate. This thin, eating disorder look is unrealisic, not to mention unhealthy.

Your theory is so wrong! That’s not true that a 40 year old should never have the body of a 20 year old cause that was 20 years ago. Just ask your doctor. Yes, true, most people metabolism slow down as they age, however, there are things you can do to increase your metabolism, and also it just means you have to DO MORE to maintain your body. More exercise, and you’d have to watch your diet more. Ideally, they say as you age, your body don’t require as much food as it did while in your 20′s, things were still growing then. Now in your 40′s, things are def. done growing, so the body don’t require as much food, however, its only through bad diet and eatings habit that we THINK we need more food. Usually in the 40′s, some people have a more sedentary lifestyle and bad eating habits they have developed over the years. Also, as you age, your body mass turns from muscle to flab, and one has to workout to build their muscles back up in order to fight flab. So aging just means more upkeep and you have to be more proactive in maintaining your health and physique. JANET IS DOING A DAMN GOOD JOB OF DOING THIS! Please don’t hate on her for that. Just cause you choose to age gracefully, that’s not everybody’s choice, you choose for yourself. That’s damn stupid what you said, cause essentially you’re saying she should just let herself go cause she’s 40. You’re probably a lazy ass and can’t look that good, you probably tried and could not achieve Janet’s results. So now you hate! GET REAL GIRL. You may not be able to quite get Janet’s results, but i guarantee you, you can look damn good, so don’t give up! So get back on your horse!
Your theory is so wrong on so many levels. It’s normal nowadays for a person in their 40′s to look, and feel like they did in their 20′s. You are obviously either a hater or a pessimist! Either isn’t good and i hope you change your mindset for 2007 or else as you age, according to your theory, you’ll be big as the side of a house by the time your’re 60!
This site has turned into “STAN” central! Celebrity ass kissing at it’s best. I’m tired of seeing this bitch on every magazine showing off her body, but not really showing anything and not really saying anything interesting. I think it is pretty obvious that she is not a true artist and has only been concerned with commercial success.
I think J needs to be comfortable in her own skin…and not let people manipulate her into losing weight or undergoing plastic surgery. As far as the cover??!! OMG!! this is ridiculous!! She’s beautiful. I love Janet’s music and I admire her and her family’s strength from overcomming such a rough life.
