Smokin’ Aces is and action, comedy, drama about a snitch (Jeremy Piven, Entourage) on the run for his life. Common plays “Sir Ivy”, no word of how big his part is. Alicia Keys is playing an assassin out to kill Piven.
The movie should be out sometime next year.

They are already showing the trailer for the movie at movie theaters now.
The first place that’s its going to premiere is in London on Jan. 15th or 16th, next year.

And also, I read a review of this film a few months ago, it said that AK and Common’s roles are small, but they actually do a really good job.

I saw a clip and Alicia was quite believable and sexy.
they might have done a good jib but i doubt the movie is good enough for me to enjoy it on the big screen. what they both need to do is come out with new albums. AK’s been making us wait 4 a while now and Common is sooo fine, mmmmm

I just watched the trailer on Youtube and it looks like it will be a good movie. It has a lot of really good actors in it.

Personally, I don’t know. I always thought Alicia and Usher looked perfect together, and their chemistry was like WHOA and DAMN! But in the movie, she’s Taraji P. Henson’s love interest. I read the script and it’s good. But then Taraji gets jealous when she sees Alicia with Common and well, I don’t want to spoil the ending. You’ll just have to wait until it comes out…(Jan. 26th in the U.S.)
