Sometime during the summer, I posted up some tracks from a young man by the name of Drake. If you don’t remember him from then, his face may be familiar to you from the hit show Degrassi (he plays Jimmy). Either way, Drake’s a man of many talents, already proving himself in the acting world, and now as a lyricist, including collaborations with The Clipse, Lupe Fiasco and many other industry heavy weights. Drake is back with a new single with Trey Songz (which he recently recorded here in Atlanta) and an album is in the works.

He has a nice flow and I had to listen to it twice to make sure he wasn’t another Yung Joc (which he ain’t). And Trey and him is both fine as HELL! Atleast its better than: Akon, Yung Joke, Lil Boozie, Chingy, and Mike Jone’s non rappin asses!

WOW Thanks for posting this. Let me find out Jimmy can flow. I watch Degrassi have been since the ’80′s and was kinda skeptical about the new generation, but it’s pretty cool. Didn’t think anybody else watched, glad that I’m not alone. Really feelin’ the track though. Gotta look out for his album, make sure you keep us posted about Jimmy…I mean Drake.
