#2 Here is my comment. They said the actress got her start YEARS ago. I’m guessing the show was St Elsewhere. The year was 1988 and the actors are Denzel Washington and Stacy Dash. Stacy only did 4 episodes on St. Elsewhere.

Or it could be Stacy Dash and Bill Cosby. She did 1 episode of Cosby show. I think those two actors try to portray family man images.

And Stacy is HOT still to this day!

The year for Cosby was 1985 Stacy Dash played Denise’s friend. I’m leaning more towards Denzel since she did have a recurring role on St. Elsewhere and Cosby was just 1 episode.

Ok, so far I think the best guesses so far are:

#1–Maia Campbell (though I hate to think it cuz she was SO pretty, but what the hell happened to her??)

#2–Cosby and Lisa Bonet, because the clue said the actress was raking in six-figures, and I doubt they would have paid Stacy Dash that much (even now, let alone in the 80’s) for four episodes on St. Elsewhere.

Only problem is that Cosby got Lisa Bonet a new show, and by all accounts (as far as I know) she quit a Different World on her own accord to pursue a movie career.

As for #1, I think a better guess may be Jackie O. I could see her having been a street hooker in the past (presumably before her rap career got started), and I could see baller-types patronizing her services now, more so than Maia Campbell.

#1-sounds like Beverly Peele, she was well on her way to being one of the top models, early 90’s and fell off. She was involved in a credit card identity theft a few years back.

#2-sounds like Aunt Vivian from fresh prince. Apparently there were some problems on the set and at which point she was replaced and she claimed she was blacklisted. Of course no one has heard from her since.

First off…Thanks CL for posting the Blind Items. I am never good at them when I read them without anyone else’s opinion. I think that the #1 is Mia Campbell. It was reported last week that she was arrested for stealing her friends car and that she is extremely thin (almost unrecognizable). I hope that she gets herself together since her mom just past. I think # 2 is Tisha Campbell. Once again…thanks CL and everyone who posted a comment for helping me solve them damn things. They are hard sometimes.

I don’t know about #1, but Trina is a decent guess because there is that whole miscarriage incident circling around about her….and I guess you could have considered her promising when she first broke out because there aren’t many female rap artists. Im not sure if any of you heard this information, but the young girl Sicily from “One on One” was being sexually harassed by Kelly Perin (sp?) who played Dawayne. I’m not sure if number 2 is about them, but those are my thoughts.

i believe elise neal left all of us because of some shady stuff UPN was trying to pull, hence why most of the cast left after the first season. i heard that UPN was gonna pull the show but after saying they would take a budget cut, all the people i loved were cut (Elise Neal, Terri J Vaughn, Turtle) Elise Neal mentioned a little of that in an interview she did with Sister 2 Sister.

And I dont think number 2 is Tisha Campbell either, I dont think her career has ever been ruined. And My Wife and Kids was not cancelled because of her, Damon clearly explained why during an interview with Tavis Smiley.

#2 Can’t be Tisha and Martin. First in the clue it says that “Sadly, he kept his word and she was let go. Her career was also ruined”. Tisha’s career is not ruined. Nor was she let go. She refused to be in the same room with Martin in the last couple of episodes and eventually the show ended. They ALL was let go. Tisha was not blackballed because she did pick up a show with Damon Wayans. And what well manufactured image did Martin have? Is this the same dude that was in middle of the road with a gun or trying to jump off a plane?
And it can’t be Lisa Bonet because she was the one not going to work, or going in late. They even gave her “Different World” and she did the same there. If Anything she blackballed herself.

A 30-year-old Saugus woman who has appeared on hundreds of magazine covers as a super model was out on bail today, facing charges for allegedly using other people’s credit cards to buy $10,000 worth of household appliances.
Beverly Peele was arrested on Monday around 7:30 p.m. by deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Santa Clarita Station, said sheriff’s Deputy Colin Matsumoto.

Peele was booked on suspicion of “use of expired or forged access cards,” Matsumoto said. She was released on $20,000 bail at 7 last night, said sheriff’s Lt. Dianne Walker.

The woman faces two counts of felony grand theft. She is scheduled to appear on Jan. 5 in Newhall Superior Court in Valencia, Matsumoto said.

Peele allegedly found a wallet in a shopping cart and returned it to its owner, who later received billings on her credit card statement for items she did not purchase, sheriff’s Detective John Howard told The Signal newspaper.

Does anyone remember us discussing the Sister 2 Sister magazine article featuring actress/crackhead extraordinaire Maia Campbell? In the interview she was talking about her drug abuse, other actresses and a bunch of other nonsense.

In the February 05 issue of Sister 2 Sister, Maia is back and claiming that she didn’t say half of those things in the article. She told Sister 2 Sister’s Calvin Lee, “Well, the interview that I did with you guys was misprinted. A lot of the things were misprinted. I never said anything bad about Meagan Good. And they appreciated the realness out of it and the truth that I told. But again I want to retract the statement about Meagan Good because I never said anything bad about her. I think she’s a good actress and she’s very beautiful.
The rumor that I have two kids. I only have one daughter and I’m still married to her father and we’re separated right now, but we’re thinking about getting back together. Maia Campbell is the biggest loser in all of the world. In the last Sister 2 Sister interview she claimed that she was no longer addicted to drugs, but her commentary would lead readers to believe otherwise. She is so erratic. She may have been so high that she doesn’t recall making those statements. I find it hard to believe that Sister 2 Sister would make up any of those things, especially adding another daughter to Maia list of achievements.

It’s also really amazing that someone would like to retract statements they claim never to have made. Makes perfect sense…if you’re a cracked out former c list actress that is. Maia Campbell has been a washed up has been for many years and she should just be glad that Sister 2 Sister wasted time interviewing her in the first place. I really hope this girl gets the help she deserves because her issues are really serious.

December 7. The NBA is about to be rocked by one of the biggest scandals in league history. MediaTakeOut.com has learned that a prominent member of the New Jersey Nets has admitted to his family that he’s bisexual.

In an exclusive interview, MediaTakeOut.com spoke with a friend of the family who claims the player “came out” during a recent trip home. According to our source, “when [the player] came out of the closet, everyone was shocked … we would always see pictures of him with models. No one suspected that he was into men.”

And what’s more shocking, tells our source, is that the NBA player has entered into a romantic relationship with one of his childhood friends. I dont know about #1 but #2 we need to look at the facts because some of yall are yelling out some real dumb answers. It said that this chick was making 6 figures a month so 100K+ at least. What black show on TV was that popular where the female lead would be getting paid 100K+/mo? Most black actors (men) on tv might make 20K an episode and thats for a moderately successful series. So this show had to have been extremely popular for her to be make 6 digits. Its not Aunt Viv. There was a story that a female cast member accused Duane Martin of sexual harassment, but the cast member name was never revealed, and they made it seem like it was a minor character. Next season Tia was missing, and no explanation was given. We also never found out what happened with the sexual harassment charges against Duane Martin. Elise Oneal has never spoken about her departure, as if she has gag order or settlement agreement.

I like Maia Campbell and Blu Cantrell, for the first one, but neither are very well known. I’ll have to think about #1 some more.

Anyways, we can rule out Denzel because his only TV role was on “St. Elsewhere” in the 80’s, but he was basically playing the token black in an ensemble cast, and back then he wouldn’t have been remotely powerful enough to get somebody blacklisted.

If its Bill Cosby, its doubtful that he was harrassing Tempest Bledsoe, because she was still a kid when the show started (and since she came into adulthood on the show, I would think he’d look at her as more of a daughter). So that leaves Denise and Sandra, and the lady who played Sandra isn’t “well-known” by any stretch of the imagination. So that leaves Lisa Bonet, who is definitely well-known (for both the Cosby Show, “Angel Heart” and marrying Lenny Kravitz).

Will Smith and the lady who played Aunt Viv on “Fresh Prince” is an interesting theory. It would certainly make the mysterious little clue applicable, but I’m not sure that Aunt Viv lady is “well-known” (See, I don’t even know her real name and I LOVED that show).

Elise Neal doesn’t work because it says “the black lead actor” harrassed her, and that wasn’t Will Smith (although he created and exec produced). And Duane Martin could hardly be described as “extremely well-known”.

I suppose Martin is also a possiblility, but that would mean that the item is VERY poorly worded, because he never did have a “well-manufactured image”, plus everybody already knows about what went down on “Martin”, so it’s not a secret that needs to be encoded as a blind item.

So at this point, I think the best guess is still the Coz and Lisa Bonet.

Does anyone remember us discussing the Sister 2 Sister magazine article featuring actress/crackhead extraordinaire Maia Campbell? In the interview she was talking about her drug abuse, other actresses and a bunch of other nonsense.

In the February 05 issue of Sister 2 Sister, Maia is back and claiming that she didn’t say half of those things in the article. She told Sister 2 Sister’s Calvin Lee, “Well, the interview that I did with you guys was misprinted. A lot of the things were misprinted. I never said anything bad about Meagan Good. I think she’s a wonderful actress and I think she’s a beautiful girl and I wish to retract the statement that was made against her. I don’t think it looked really good on my part to say something like that. The interview had a lot of true statements, but it had a lot of false statements.”

When questioned about exactly which statements were false, Maia said, ” For example, I only have one daughter, I don’t have two kids. I do agree with what it said about Vivica Fox and LisaRaye, but truly I did not say what they said about Meagan Good. I did not say that.”

Maia was adamant that a number of the statements credited to her were lies. She went on to say, “People just basically said they liked what I had to say and I came clean about some things in my past and they enjoyed getting to know me in a true light. And they appreciated the realness out of it and the truth that I told. But again I want to retract the statement about Meagan Good because I never said anything bad about her. I think she’s a good actress and she’s very beautiful.
The rumor that I have two kids. I only have one daughter and I’m still married to her father and we’re separated right now, but we’re thinking about getting back together. Maia Campbell is the biggest loser in all of the world. In the last Sister 2 Sister interview she claimed that she was no longer addicted to drugs, but her commentary would lead readers to believe otherwise. She is so erratic. She may have been so high that she doesn’t recall making those statements. I find it hard to believe that Sister 2 Sister would make up any of those things, especially adding another daughter to Maia list of achievements.

It’s also really amazing that someone would like to retract statements they claim never to have made. Makes perfect sense…if you’re a cracked out former c list actress that is. Maia Campbell has been a washed up has been for many years and she should just be glad that Sister 2 Sister wasted time interviewing her in the first place. I think it’s Lisa Nicole Carson of “Ally McBeal” fame. Her star was on the rise at one time and she left the show because of her alleged drug problem. I don’t think she’s worked since “Ally McBeal”.

i know this is late but for those of you claiming it’s a character from All of Us or One on One it just can’t be. It says “This black actress got her dream job on a television show years ago”… YEARS AGO- so would those shows count as “years ago”? def. not All of Us, maybe One on One but I’m sure none of the female characters were bringing in 6 figures.

I think it’s obvious now that the answer to the first and second blind item is Maia Campbell. LL Cool J was harrassing her. Her career never took off like it should have. I always wondered what happened to her. I always admired her beauty. It saddened me to hear about her biopolar condition. And to hear how her life went down hill. I will say a prayer for her. She is ill. And what a blow to learn her mother who tried to help her died. She wrote a book about one of her children who was mentally ill. People thought it was Maia now the truth is out. The book is called 72 hour hold by Bebe Campbell. I will have to read it, I hear it is a wonderful book. And LL Cool J, I will never look at him the same way. How could he try to take advantage of a sick young woman. All of this is disheartening.
