I like Irreplaceable, but not the Spanish version.

I don’t think it will be the next single , if she wants to base it on what the critics say a LOt of them say Hood Boy and Baby Makin Hips are the Best songs on the Album. And I think Baby Makin Hips or Even Eligible could garner her more crossover appeal becausre I go to a lot of pop sites and they are loving those two songs.

Let me hear that song for about five minutes and I bet I would be singing it in Spanish too. I’m not a Beyonce hater but come on y’all. Bee’s Irreplaceable - I like the song, so the spanish isn’t all that bad. AND no she’s NOT the first artist to do a SPANISH version of their own song. Mariah Carey, Maxwell of course, Eric Benet, Toni Braxton and probably more have all done spanish versions of a couple of their songs.

HOWEVER, I hate to say it, DATDUDE has a point. Bee should’ve said “I can have a BETTER you in a minute”. #48…Very few songs that have English and Spanish versions translate identically, so Beyonce is NOT unique in that way. It’s damn near impossible to do a word for word translation from one language to another, and still be able to maintain the cadence and flow of the music.

J-Lo, “Waiting for Tonight”…in her Spanish version, she sings “Uno Noche Mas,” which means “One More Night.”

Fantasia has a great album y’all! You can tell that it is more of her this time around. I don’t want to hate, but all the songs released from her album here @ The Loop I didn’t too much care for. “Not The Way That I Do” I hate that damn song. “Baby Makin’ Hips” hated it as well, but it is slowly growin’ on me. They really don’t represent how great her album really is. I love @ least 10 of the songs on her cd & my favorite song “I Feel Beautiful” is bound for success. Diane Warren knows how to write a hit.

If you are watching let’s say “Love and Basketball” on HBO and Sanaa Lathan is saying her line You can turn to the HBO Spanish channels they are off by a few seconds, but you can watch that channel hear Sanaa Lathan’s line with her voice in Spanish. I know it is done for movies but not sure about songs. Or heck you can switch your DVD or TV to another language and hear it in another language with the same voices. *hard to explain but hopefully you get what I’m saying.*
