I like Irreplaceable, but not the Spanish version.

I don’t think it will be the next single , if she wants to base it on what the critics say a LOt of them say Hood Boy and Baby Makin Hips are the Best songs on the Album. And I think Baby Makin Hips or Even Eligible could garner her more crossover appeal becausre I go to a lot of pop sites and they are loving those two songs.

Bee’s Irreplaceable - I like the song, so the spanish isn’t all that bad. AND no she’s NOT the first artist to do a SPANISH version of their own song. Mariah Carey, Maxwell of course, Eric Benet, Toni Braxton and probably more have all done spanish versions of a couple of their songs.

HOWEVER, I hate to say it, DATDUDE has a point. Bee should’ve said “I can have a BETTER you in a minute”. Fantasia has a great album y’all! You can tell that it is more of her this time around. If you are watching let’s say “Love and Basketball” on HBO and Sanaa Lathan is saying her line You can turn to the HBO Spanish channels they are off by a few seconds, but you can watch that channel hear Sanaa Lathan’s line with her voice in Spanish. I know it is done for movies but not sure about songs. Or heck you can switch your DVD or TV to another language and hear it in another language with the same voices. *hard to explain but hopefully you get what I’m saying.*

For those who know nothing about recording studios, #15 is right. When doing a version of a song in another language the original voice can be converted to any language you choose. You don’t have to actually re-sing the song, it can be translated and converted over using certain equipment!

The song in English is not word for word with the song in Spanish…it cant be done that way because of the linguistics…

They were playing around with the recording device an he talked about how you can change the language of the track by using it.

Beyonce has a song called Beautiful Liar that I heard on another blog. They said it was the Spanish verison of Irriplaceable but it sounds so different then the english Irriplaceable it’s slow. They did say that the words are different but basically meant the same thing. I’m not spanish so I don’t know.
