Here is the new Amerie video, and let’s just say I’m not feeling this song at all. Amerie definitely brings a different feel with her music, but I just don’t like this track, so it made it hard for me to even finish watching the video. Don’t get me wrong though, I’m still a fan of hers..
According to Wikipedia, she produced this track with Cee-Lo (Goodie Mob & Gnarls Barkely) and is expected to drop her third album sometime next year. So be on the look out for new tracks, you know we’ll have them to you first.
I’m not feelin the video, and maybe its because I don’t like her voice on the song. I mean the song would be bangin’ if she wasn’t on it lol…
But I still dig Amerie.
I like the song, it’s very funky! Amerie always brings something fresh with the beat and instruments. People are so used to hard beats and thumping bass lines that they cannot appreciate horns and guitar licks.
That being said, the song isn’t radio friendly and it isn’t catchy like One Thing was. She’s taking a gamble, but I appreciate the effort from her.

#48 CAN WE and FALLIN’ were the BEST songs on the Touch album IMO. That was a nice album, people just are so quick to critique based on singles.

I agree with you! You dumbass Beyonce praisers need to shut the fuck up! Amerie is not trying to be Beyonce in any way. Amerie has her own sound, style, and sexiness. She looked great the way she moved in front of the camera. She is a very beautiful human being inside and out. Amerie is a very unique singer who spends time writing her own material, producing, and she has an amazing voice. How many young singers of today can sing as good as she can?
Plus, if Amerie couldn’t sing, she wouldn’t be able to hit any type of notes. She actually uses her vocal cords on a record. Amerie is very different and respected by her fans because of her art for music. But, you all who doubt her don’t realize that because you haven’t followed her since All I Have and got to know who she really is. Anyway, I love the song, it grew on me, and the video is very clever and her dancing is nice. She can move, some movements were alittle awkward but she has proven that she can dance in 1 Thing and Touch.
The video went over my head… how did the senator disappear? Anywho the song might grow on me but the video is WACK. She absolutely needs to come harder… And I agree with whoever said the gold Gucci dress is PLAYED OUT. Linsay Lohan has also worn it.

The thing that makes Amerie’s music great is that it is different. If you listen, you can hear the influences of jazz, r&b, and even some old school soul. The guitar seems to reflect the same kind of sexual tension and excitment that Amerie creates every time she looks into the camera.
As a side note; Brothers and Sisters it’s okay to have an opinion about someone’s music, or dress, and even how they carry themselves in the public eye but you don’t have to resort to calling our people dumbass bitches, hoes, niggas, and so on. Ya’ll need to get your facts straight because Beyonce stole some of Amerie style by jacking Amerie producer. the producer use to do all the jazz and trumpet parts for Amerie and now he does them for beyonce. so stop hating. Okay after viewing the video it’s very different and not what I was expecting and after watching it 4 times I get exactly how the video went with the song. Dont feel like explaining it but she is seducing the senator and putting him at ease making it seem like he is in control, biggin his head up and then BAM kill him…only problem is a photographer caught snapshots of her leaving the scene now she has to seduce him with the lyrics in order to get closer to the evidence he has stored away. The video is actually clever and I like her attempt.
