In some stuff I read about Amerie, Rich Harrison was her mentor. Her first album was the first full album he even produced. They helped each other out.. I like the song, it’s very funky! Amerie always brings something fresh with the beat and instruments. People are so used to hard beats and thumping bass lines that they cannot appreciate horns and guitar licks.

I agree with you! You dumbass Beyonce praisers need to shut the fuck up! Amerie is not trying to be Beyonce in any way. Amerie has her own sound, style, and sexiness. She looked great the way she moved in front of the camera. She is a very beautiful human being inside and out. Amerie is a very unique singer who spends time writing her own material, producing, and she has an amazing voice. How many young singers of today can sing as good as she can?

The thing that makes Amerie’s music great is that it is different. If you listen, you can hear the influences of jazz, r&b, and even some old school soul. The guitar seems to reflect the same kind of sexual tension and excitment that Amerie creates every time she looks into the camera.

Okay after viewing the video it’s very different and not what I was expecting and after watching it 4 times I get exactly how the video went with the song. Dont feel like explaining it but she is seducing the senator and putting him at ease making it seem like he is in control, biggin his head up and then BAM kill him…only problem is a photographer caught snapshots of her leaving the scene now she has to seduce him with the lyrics in order to get closer to the evidence he has stored away. The video is actually clever and I like her attempt.

I was expecting more dancing but like the feel of it…the instruments and vid put me in the mind of a “James Bond or Pulp Fiction” film.

A- for the video and C for the song it still has to grow on me. This seems like another 1 Thing but easier on the ears lol
