Here’s the spankin’ new video from the girls of Danity Kane for their second single ‘Ride For U’. I’m sure you guys remember them singing the song on one of the ‘Making The Band’ episodes. The group worked with producer Bryan Michael Cox on this one..
Anyway the video has a really cute theme going and they all look great. They should after we waited 100 years for this.

In the beginning shot when they first show her, i thought she was going to belt out “I’m really feeling Uuuuunapppreciated!” The video concept is wack. It’s a love song. The other thing i have to say is that there is really no need for Shannon, and Aubrey to be in the group. They can’t sing as well as D.Woods, Dawn, and Aundrea. They don’t sing on too many of the records, and the group might be better if there were only three of them.

The video is okay. I was expecting more. Everyone but Aubrey looks really cute. In the shot with just Aundrea and Aubrey walking by themselves they look like they’ve got about 2 tons of hair between them on their heads. Dawn, D.Woods, and Shannon are my favorites.
In my opinion, DWoods and Aundrea are the only REAL singers in the group, and it was very obvious if you watched the show while they were making the album. Dawn is just all right to me. I was hyped for their album, but this is the only song I liked off of it. Video is okay.

Feeling the song. I like the concept of the video, but it looks rushed and like the budget wasn’t big enough for the director to do it how he wanted to. Damnit Diddy.
And STOP hating on my girl Aubrey. Anybody who saw Season 1 of Making the Band with her busting an Aretha singing “At Last” knows she’s actually got one of the best voices in the group. She just has a white voice, which really doesn’t fit with the groups r&b vibe. And anybody who has the album knows that she actually gets a decent amount of parts on the songs (just as many as Aundrea). Though I will agree that Shannon needs to fly the coop, she get’s like 2 words on 5 songs.
Please, if it weren’t for Aubrey and D.Woods Danity Kane would have ZERO personality.
Diddy really should make the next album a little less R&B, though. Danity Kane has three white girl singers that sound like just that–white girl singers. Now, there’s nothing wrong with that, but their voices just don’t really fit hip-hop all that well, which is why D. Woods and Dawn carry most of the album. Diddy should lighten it up a bit and add a little more pop to the next album so that ALL the girls can be in their element.
