TODAY IS WORLD AIDS DAY, REP YOUR (RED)

Friday, December 1, 2006

wad.gif

Since it’s World AIDS day, I decided to post up some stats and info about this horrible disease and how it’s destroying the black community and the world.

- The HIV/AIDS infection rate among black men is 6 times that of white men and the rate among black women is 16 times that of white women.

- AIDS is the leading cause of death for black women

- AIDS now accounts for 1 in 3 deaths among black men aged 25 to 40

- More children with AIDS are black than all other racial and ethnic groups combined

- Every day in the United States, about 100 people of color become infected with HIV

- More than two-thirds of all women in the United States who are infected with the AIDS virus are black

- Blacks represent over half (57%) of all new AIDS cases in the United States, though comprising less than a quarter (13%) of the population

- AIDS is the leading cause of death of blacks, age 25-44

@73 While you have a valid point I don’t think the majority of people with HIV/AIDS knowinly infect others. I think the fact that we see people managing it and living with it people don’t realize that it is what it is. Maybe death sentence is a strong term but we must realize that AIDS is killing us.

I wonder if people know that you really dont die from Aids you die from complications from Aids.See Aids in it self is a disease but b/c your immune system is so weak once its attacked by Aids you are prone to other infections easily, and then once your body has faught as hard as it could from the infection,it shuts down and you die from that particular infection. A cold to someone not infected with Aids is just a cold that will be cured in a few days, but to an individual infected with Aids this could be a death sentence. I agree with so many of you I truly dont think we take this disease serious.

Also, I think BET should try another approach to the RAP-IT-UP campaign b/c too often, ppl confuse it for “wrap-it-up”/use a condom.

Their campaign, which I admire, is NOT tellin’ ppl to use protection…it’s telling you to TALK TO YOUR MATE ABOUT SEXUAL PASTS B4 GETTING TO HAVING SAFE SEX.

If more ppl did this…the MIND instead of the hormones would kick in.

Ladies, if you asked a guy how many women he’d boned B4 u got caught up in the “heat of the moment”…and he cudnt keep count, wud u still have sex w/him? If he lies, you asked.

If he told you that he was NEVER tested for HIV…wud u still sex him. What of he tells you that he is negative/ “clean” as they say now-a-days, would you take his word or ask to see the results.

If he told you that he HAD syphilis or genital herpes before, would you still be so quick to jump in the sack….or would u want to take time out and evaluate the situation and ur risk (esp. w/herpes) b4 taking that lay-down?

I know some ppl say that the past is the past…but if your past would be affecting my future, I have as much right to ask you as many questions about ur sexual history as I do to let you become a part of mine.

RAP-IT-UP b4 u Strap-up, PLZ

Does anyone know if a book has been published on the progress of finding a CURE for AIDS….not on the treatment of HIV (because once you’re diagnosed w/ AIDS, they can only provide relief treatments)…but a book or an experiment that tracts the successes and failures in finding a cure?

I agree w/ whomever wrote that ppl do not die from AIDS, but from complications caused by AIDS. i.e.: common cold, pneumonia, etc… b/c their body cannot fight off the infection with the virtually shut down immune system.

When I 1st was diagnosed, I had purchased a book called “The Cure For HIV/AIDS”. It said that the virus was first found in a snail, and you could make the virus in your fishtank. And in order to get rid of the virus, u had to virtually live on a desserted island for about a month, cuz you had to stay away from metal and eat certain foods, get your fillings removed. It was crazy. It also said the virus could be cleared in a couple of weeks.

I also found a thing on the internet that said the government created HIV and had a map plan on the cure, but wasn’t giving it out…conspiriacy theories. Who knows?

A Cure For AIDS?

That is what appears to be the focus of an uncommon book, written over ten years ago, and ignored by the world’s medical establishment, and the more recent groundbreaking research by Dr. Matthias Rath.

In The AIDS Fighters Dr. Ian Brighthope documents how in case after case of people with AIDS, treated at his clinic in Australia, survive AIDS and go on to lead normal lives. Dr. Brighthope uses immune system enhancing nutrients such as vitamin C (in absolutely massive doses) and zinc to help the AIDS patients’ body fight off the disease and become healthy.

Dr. Brighthope’s well-documented practice – and his claim that not a single AIDS patient who had maintained the regimen had died – should have sent shock waves through the world’s AIDS research and medical communities. But instead they have ignored him, searching instead for complex and expensive “silver bullet” drugs such as AZT that focus on destroying HIV (meanwhile killing the patient) rather than rebuilding the patient’s immune system to control and conquer the disease.

Dr. Brighthope’s regimen involves increasing the oral dose of Vitamin C to “body tolerance” dosage – to the point of diarrhea – upwards of 30 grams per day, in addition to intravenous Vitamin C in much larger doses, depending on the level of immune suppression of the patient (50-150 grams per day). He has found no toxic dose.

In 1991, Dr. Matthias Rath discovered that AIDS - like cancer - spreads by destroying collagen, and therefore that therapeutic amounts of the primary collagen-building compounds - lysine and vitamin C - were also enzyme blocks that could stop the progression of AIDS and similar acute and chronic illnesses. But the pharmaceutical industry, rather than embracing this new information and making this information available to doctors, chose to synthesize expensive, patentable protease inhibitors. These drugs cost upwards of $5000 per patient per year. The supplement regimen, even at retail vitamin store prices, costs one-fifth of that.

The reaction of the medical community – silence and marginalization – to these simple, cheap regimens is in keeping with the prevailing attitude toward “alternative” cancer and heart disease cures and preventives, and is indicative of the systemic connections between the medical profession and the drug companies. The worldwide AIDS epidemic could be stopped if this information were widespread and the pharmaceutical industry was willing to sell the supplements at cost.

Kudos to #21 Lalita. I was going to mention the same thing. Ladies, you have to be very careful with these men today. I was watching a BET special on Aids and they said statistics show that most of the cases are those where the female is not cheating but the male is. Females sometimes put too much trust in their man. They believe that there man is sleeping with them and them only. So they have unprotected sex with them. Please ladies, please, take your boyfriend/husband down to the clinic and BOTH of you get tested on a regular basis. HIV and AIDS are not to play with. I get tested once a year. And everytime I get into a new relationship with someone, I make them go get tested as well. Be smart! Get tested and wrap it up!

AIDS Cure Possible, Study Suggests
Epilepsy Drug May Flush HIV From Last Hiding Place in Body

Aug. 11, 2005 - A small human study may point the way to a cure for AIDS.

Behind the stunning results is a totally new approach to HIV treatment. It makes use of an epilepsy drug — valproic acid — that flushes HIV out of its most remote hiding places in the body.

Combined with powerful HIV drugs, the approach might totally eliminate the AIDS virus from the body. That promises a cure for AIDS, says study leader David M. Margolis, MD.

“This might lead to a therapy that would clear virus from an infected person, or reduce it to such a low level they would not need treatment for a very long time,” Margolis tells WebMD. “But that is only a hope for the future. It will require a lot more work. Today, HIV is still a problem.”

The Margolis team’s groundbreaking report appears in the Aug. 13 issue of The Lancet. Accompanying it is an editorial by McGill University researcher Jean-Pierre Routy, MD, PhD.

“This is very serious data — a very exciting piece of information,” Routy tells WebMD. “For the first time, the disease may be attacked in the last cells where it is hiding. That is a sign of hope. We can expect one day to remove all these infected cells.”

HIV in Hiding

A decade ago, there was great optimism that powerful AIDS drug combinations would eliminate HIV from the bodies of infected people. These highly active antiretroviral therapies — HAART — put the AIDS virus on the defensive. The drugs kept HIV levels so low, it was hoped that the virus would soon vanish from the body.

That didn’t happen. The reason: latent HIV. Latent HIV is inactive virus planted deep in the DNA of human cells. There it lies in wait, beyond the reach of anti-HIV drugs. This tiny, smoldering infection is enough to burst into full-fledged AIDS once a person stops taking HAART.

Researchers have tried everything, from years of toxic drugs to bone marrow transplants, to get rid of latent HIV. None of it worked. Making this even more maddening were recent findings that this last reservoir of HIV infection is very small.

“The total amount of infected cells is very small: just 1 gram in a person with normal body weight,” Routy says. “But until a few weeks ago it was impossible to attack these cells.”

One of the scientists trying to crack the riddle of HIV latency is Eric Verdin, MD, associate director of the Gladstone Institute of Virology and Immunology at the University of California, San Francisco.

“Everyone has been talking about doing this for 10 years, and [Margolis' team] is the one that has done it,” Verdin tells WebMD. “A lot of people in the field have been thinking about flushing out the latent HIV pools. The reason we have not been more active is because there were no good drugs known to do this.”

Unmasking HIV

Until now, most efforts focused on turning the latent infection into active infection. The idea was to get HIV out in the open where HAART drugs and immune responses could get at it. But these approaches had the disadvantage of making HIV replicate faster throughout the body.

Margolis’ team was one of several taking a different approach. Instead of activating the HIV gene in latent cells, they changed the cells’ DNA architecture. To do this, they took advantage of the ability of valproic acid to inhibit an enzyme called HDAC.

“We thought a way to unmask latent virus would be to inhibit HDAC so you are not activating the virus but sort of taking the brake off,” Margolis says.
Patients Respond
It worked in the test tube. So Margolis and colleagues tested their idea at the University of Texas Southwest Medical Center in Dallas.
They recruited four volunteers with HIV infection. Each of them once had AIDS, but had their virus brought under control by HAART drugs. However, none of these volunteers had immune responses capable of fighting HIV.
Margolis and colleagues first intensified the patients’ treatment by adding a new kind of HIV drug, Fuseon, to their treatment regimens. Then they gave them valproic acid for three months.
The results were unprecedented. Three of the four volunteers had an average 75% decrease in their latent HIV pool.
That’s pretty amazing — but none of the patients were actually cured of HIV infection.
And because Margolis intensified the patients’ HAART regimen, it’s not entirely clear what happened. Did the valproic acid act as hoped to unmask latent HIV? Or did treatment intensification turn off the faucet filling the latent HIV pool, allowing the pool to dwindle?
Studies are underway to sort this out. And even if valproic acid works as hoped, Margolis says it’s going to take time to learn the best way to use valproic acid as an anti-HIV drug. Even if it’s 100% effective at eliminating latent virus, he notes that current HAART treatment does not totally eliminate HIV replication. Until that happens, the pool of latent virus could always be replenished.
But that isn’t always going to be an obstacle, Margolis predicts.
“If I look backward five to 10 years to the relative impotency of treatment, and look forward to how simple and effective treatment might be in five or 10 years, you will see the field does a good job of inhibiting HIV,” he says. “If that is the only problem to overcome, we can definitely cure infection

Warning to Patients: Don’t Try This at Home
Margolis warns patients not to try taking valproic acid. It’s a drug with serious possible side effects that include liver damage and, if taken by pregnant women, birth defects. Valproic acid also has dangerous interactions with AIDS drugs. In fact, one of the four patients in the study developed serious anemia because of an interaction with one of the drugs in his HAART regimen.
“It is totally irrational for patients to add valproic acid to therapy, outside clinical trials, at this point,” Margolis says. “How much valproic acid would they take? How long would they take it for? How could you measure when they had enough? How do they know when to stop? There are plenty of reasons not to take valproic acid at this point.”
Routy says that his team is organizing a clinical trial to try to find the best way to use valproic acid as an adjunct to HAART. He also expects the findings to give new impetus to therapeutic AIDS vaccines.
Meanwhile, the world AIDS pandemic continues unabated.
“We have to focus on HIV treatment today,” Margolis says. “Right now we must continue to prevent, detect, and treat HIV infection. Finding a vaccine to prevent AIDS is still very important. But that goal is no more challenging than the goal of eradicating infection. And that is a worthy goal as well.”
“Eradicating HIV from the body is a big hope,” Routy says. “But the hope is not today.”
The findings raise other hopes as well. Valproic acid inhibits an important enzyme called HDAC. Inhibiting HDAC, Verdin says, also fights cancer. Major drug companies already are racing to develop HDAC inhibitors as cancer drugs. These drugs might also be powerful anti-HIV drugs.
There’s also speculation — and some promising lab findings — suggesting that HDAC inhibitors might be useful in fighting other latent viruses such as herpes.

#86 Be Safe Said: “…When I 1st was diagnosed, I had purchased a book called “The Cure For HIV/AIDS”.

======================================================

I had to pause and pray for you! I know God will take care of you! Thanks for having the courage to admit your condition! It should help others to get the pressure off of their backs.

I know that you are using an alias name, “be safe” but what’s important is that you share what others can do to “be safe”! This is a great opportunity! There are people on CL who don’t think their lifestyles put them at high risk!

I applaud you for sharing your knowledge about possible cures or ways to manage the desease, but it would be of greater value if you could warn some of these brothers who think that they can go through life rolling the gay dice!

I have heard of cases where two men embrace each others sickness almost to the point of treating AIDS like the tide that bond them together. AIDS parties…where everyone who is infected comes together for some neutral fun! WTF?

I hope you get better and use this experience to warn others! Otherwise, the songwriter asked, “Am I Living is in Vain?”

knowing our status as the youth is the only hope to help us survive..condoms and self-restraint is the key…we need to understand that the key to winning the battle is more of a change of lifestyle and values amongst us…we need to learn to respect our bodies and stop putting our loved ones in danger…yes it difficult to say u will become celibate or wait for marriage but we should encourage our inexperienced brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews and all to wait till they are grown to engage in sexual activities..

In South Africa alone the stats are escalating at a rate that is unbearable..the problem lies with the stigma the disease has..As people we need to realize that we as Black people for example need to start ensuring a sustainable future for our people..therefore its our responsibility to help each other, educate and instill universal values that are aligned with self-respect and “UBUNTU” without love for yourself how can u love thy neighbour?

i know my status and encourage all around me to do the same…..

Don’t take this the wrong way, I’m just trying to educate.

#21, your comment is very ignorant and insensitive. It’s not so easy to just say ‘ok, i’m gay’. That means you’re welcoming prejudice, exclusion, risk of abuse, etc. No one wants to go through that.

Should all that have been raped say so? Should all that have herpes wear a headband? Should all who are agnostic wear a special ribbon daily? No.

And not every guy who is gay is DL. DL means you live a straight life, you don’t do ‘gay’ functions, friends, etc…very very few guys are DL. Most are just DISCREET! Everyone should be discreet in all that you do.

So, all in all, think before you speak.

___________________________________________________

First, I didnt say that if you are gay you have to tell the whole world, but you should tell the one with who you are having sex with . Beeing raped has nothing to do with it and no you dont have to wear a headband if you have herpes but you should tell your partner. (Sorry but I dont know what agnostic is my English isnt that good)

And then you say gay people risk predjudice , exclusion ect. HELLO WAKE UP!!! The woman is at risk of loosing her life I think that is far more worse. And its totally selfish not to tell her your true status just because you are afraid.

And mabye im wrong on the dl part but Im not from the US and I thought it was just gay people . (Having said that I dont discriminate gay people I think nothing is wrong with being gay just try to be open about it )

And I also think that your statement about being discreet is kind of BS if you were truly dicreet you wouldnt be having sex with someone else and you would certainly not have Sex with a total stranger unprotected .

Its like 43 said these man are actually murderers They are the number one murderers of black women ( (Seeing that the number 1 cause of death for black women is aids)

And yeah I think before I speak , You should give it a try sometimes .

PEace out !

Be Safe

Friday, December 1, 2006 /

@ Bill, that’s some interesting information

@ 96, thank you, that’s my intent by telling people my story and what I’ve done and some things I’ve learned…

I’ll tell you this. I got HIV from having unprotected sex with another man. I’ve struggled with my sexuality ever since I was born. I’ve always just loved people…boys and girls. The 1st time I realized being intimate with another boy was bad was when my dad caught me kissing another boy at 8 yrs old and he just whopped me. He never said anything and walked away. He had never done that before. I went to church, hoping I could just get rid of this disease of “being gay” I realize now, being gay is not a disease, or a choice, it who you are. Going to church you always hear of if you’re gay you’re going to hell. But no one really says scripture behind that. The truth is because, honestly, it’s not really mentioned in the bible. It’s a said a few times compared to all the times other issues are constantly embedded into our minds about other sins. This made me not like church. I always believed in God, and understood everything happens for a reason, good or bad and we have to let God have his way, but I didn’t like the messages people were saying about homosexuality.

No one really knows the real struggle of living a life that everyone says is wrong. So then you go out and just have sex. There are lots of examples of how heterosexuals should live, but none of gay lifestyle but to be permiscuous. They just tell you it’s a sin.

for me, I never fit in, cuz I never really fit in with the straight people cuz straight people have issues with homosexuality that they just dont know, and I never fit in with gay people cuz they except it, don’t care who know’s, and are proud of it. I’ve always had self esteem issues, cuz I was never, and still am not proud of being gay, but I’m starting to accept it. I’ve always wanted that “normal” life of a wife and kids. I don’t think that’s gonna happen now.

But I feel in order to be who I am today, all this has to happen for me. God has a big plan for me. I don’t know yet, but I feel it. Somethings you just know. But I don’t want to be known as the “gay guy”

Life is alot more complex than you think. Sexuality is more than just black and white. There is alot of gray in between. If God doesn’t like gay people, he wouldn’t make us this way. Trust me when I say, we didn’t choose to be this way.

I just get so frustrated at how quiet certain people get when the issues come home to roost! Did you notice that not one of them has posted on this blog? Touchy subject!

This would be a perfect cause and day to let the devil know that they’re changing from the immoral acts! They can just repeat these words: “On Decmeber 1, 2007, I chose to stop living in sin and to let Jesus fix my mind, heart and soul!” WOW, wouldn’t that be a revival and blow to the spread of the virus?

I’m praying for deliverance for the wicked and infected! Somebody’s gonna be saved today!

Another thing on DL lifestyle. This has been going on long before Oprah announced it on her show. Since mankind, “DLism” has been around. Alot of men are very masculine and are more than just gay. Honestly alot of men would be more open about their sexuality if there wasn’t a fear of being judged and treated different becasue of something you are. We all have different fronts to live. Slutty girls like to look wholesome, but they may just be sexually free but cant express how comfortable they are in their sexuality. We all have our crosses to bear and skirts to wear.

@ 104—I know that I don’t know you, but I am thankful for the enlightenment that you are giving me today.
——————————-

My best friend recently “came out” and he has told me the same things that you have written about homosexuality and how he wants to have a wife and kids and be “normal”….

I also fear for him sometimes b/c he DOES have sex a lot with a few different guys. When I ask him if he uses protection, I can tell he gets offended b/c he prob. thinks that I’m generalizing. To me, it’s no different than him asking me the same question when I told him that I had sex for the first time … and even now (I’ve been w/ this guy for 2yrs)…I mean he is having intercourse at parties and while drunk, so I am afraid for his health.

It’s no different than what I would do if he were doing the same thing with a lot of girls…or what I would ask my sister if she told me about sexing a few diff. guys.

May be what you said is right…I probably do have prejudices towards him that I don’t know about…but I genuinely felt like I was caring for him.

It took ur comments to make me realize that, so thank you.

Women levitate to a very small percentage of the male pop . Every chick want the alpha male, leaving every other man to starve(figuratively). Football,Basketball players are more likely to have more than one sex partner than say a bus driver . Nice guys arent desired, while thugs, pretty boys are the lastest craze. I went to a club just the other week and afew players from our local basketball team (about five) was in VIP . Every women in that club wanted to get into VIP . 100 women clamering for five guys .And it’s like that in the street . Women are even knowingly sharing men . Sounds dangerous don’t it ? There’s no ephademic of Fat bald guys spreading aids to the unexpecting women black women ……point made !

#100 …I see you didn’t get the point. It’s okay. Remember that 1 in 3 are gay or bisexual (That would ideally mean that either your dad, brother, or uncle has had an encounter w/ another male). Also, be safe. It’s your responsibility to be sure you and your partner are tested and use protection.

Or abstain, like me. I don’t trust these whores.

http://www.dictionary.com is a great too, though. I have grown to use it often.

@ Be Safe ~ I feel a breakthrough for you! That’s what Mary J called it…a Breakthrough! I don’t want to judge all the issues you faced as a child and your parents actions. I pray for your father too! He was probably just as confused!

God is telling me that someone’s heart is gonna be changed on CL today! I hope its you!!! You have courage that God can work with! He wants you safe, healthy and reborn as a man who follows righteousness!

From this day, I pray that the spirit of guilt and immorality be loosened from your life! That you will grow in the knowledge of God and find a woman who you can lean on and cry with in time of need! God does have a big plan for your life and its not just living with HIV!

I encourage all believers on CL to wrap your arms around an indivisual who we will call “be safe” and pray for his deliverance and cure! God has all power!

When I wrote post #105 to Bill, I had not read your post #104, but the spirit of God was guiding my thoughts! I nearly fell from my seat as I read your confession and testimony! You are a good brother! God didn’t make no junk, but he wants you whole as the man he created you!

Remember the date and prayer: “On Decmeber 1, 2007, I chose to stop living in sin and to let Jesus fix my mind, heart and soul!” Expect a miracle on CL today!

DARNELL, THAT WAS SOME REAL ISHT! Truly!!

Also, DL once referred to anyone who was ’sneaking’ around doing something that they didn’t want others to know for fear of being judged. DL = Down Low. The term is misused these days, and I love Oprah, but just because it’s on her show doesn’t mean what she says is the say all end all.

Those statistics would be overwhelming if blacks represented 50% of the population in America, but the fact theat we only represent approx. 12% of the population and yet over 1/2 of the AIDS cases makes it obvious that blacks are not getting the disease from casual sex, bisexual encounters or drug use primarily….hell, not even secondarily. To say that is to say that caucasians or the other races don’t do those things and they do, and at a far greater scale. I mean c’mon man, that’s fuckin’ preposterous that black children have HIV more than all other children combined. You mean to tell me that our children have that shit to that degree and it’s solely due to the conduct of the black community. Please. You can wear whatever fuckin’ color ribbon you want to wear and the problem will continue to multiply because it has very little to do with the conduct of the black community. We need to tighten our shit up, that’s for damn sure, but there’s no way in hell that we’re far and away in the lead in every disease and it’s just happenstance.

Doctors will never cure AIDS because it’s a genetically engineered disease for population control. With all the drives, benefits, charities, and telethons that they’ve had for this “disease” in the last 20 or so years, they must have easily bilked the American people out of over 200 billion dollars. They orchestrate these different disasters and diseases and convince people to “help the cause” and basically have the less esteemed elements of society finance their own genocide. Furthermore the governments of the world literally net in the trillions just for the various medications of these contrived “diseases”. It wouldn’t surprise me if many of these so-called doctors are the ones spreading the diseases.

I have heard many different stories on how this disease originated. Wonder what the truth really is. I can google it, but I’ll still probably come up with multiple stories.

Be Safe said: “Honestly alot of men would be more open about their sexuality if there wasn’t a fear of being judged and treated different becasue of something you are.”

======================================================

I never doubt your honesty! And, you know I admire your courage, but this isn’t about the past sin and fear of judgement! Only God can judge you and His word is clear about unnatural behavior! Even if you don’t accept the guilt that accompanies immorality, surly you can see that the sickness is real! God is not playing a mind game with us! He’s wants to save us “by any means necessary”! And, if that means confining us to a bed or cutting off a foot then, so be it! Be Safe, don’t struggle with words and past thoughts today…! Just claim your deliverance and give praise! Go to someone you know and confess that your prayers have been answered, because no matter how much you “think” that’s what you are…you know even more that its not God’s way! Keep moving towards your salvation!

The burden that a gay lifestyle brings is by design, too much to bare! Sin is suppose to crush us! God can deliver us and He’s a burden barer! Keep praising! Keep looking to Jesus!

I AGREE WITH SO MUCH OF WHAT YOU SAID ABOUT THE ACCEPTANCE OR LACK OF ACCEPTANCE OF HOMOSEXUALITY IN THE BLACK COMMUNITY. I READ WITH DISGUST AT SOME OF THE THINGS SOME OF THE CL MEMBERS POST IN SOME OF THESE THREADS ABOUT GAY PEOPLE, MEN ESPECIALLY. IM GUILTY MYSELF OF MAKIN JOKES LIKE SAYIN ‘HOW YOU DOIN’ BUT IT TRULY DOES NOT COME FROM A HATEFUL PLACE. MAYBE ITS BECAUSE ONE OF MY CLOSE FRIENDS IS GAY AND I JOKE WITH HIM ALL THE TIME.

SOME PEOPLE STILL HAVE THAT MENTALITY THINKIN AIDS IS THE “GAY DISEASE”. WAKE UP MEN AND WOMEN! ITS NOT. MEN ARE BEIN INFECTED BY WOMEN AND WOMEN ARE BEIN INFECTED BY STRAIGHT MEN!

GAY, STRAIGHT, BI OR WHATEVER WE NEED TO BE HONEST WITH OUR PARTNERS AND MAKE SURE WE KNOW THEIR STATUS BEFORE WE DO ANYTHING WITH THEM!!

Thanks Be Safe for your tremendously touching testimony. I believe God is already using you. This is a pretty big platform that many wouldn’t have the courage to step on, and this you are doing. Again thanks for your testimony.

I have a question though, and I’m not sure if it’s been asked already. But of the new cases of HIV/AIDS amongst blacks, could the reason for women being in the lead is because black males don’t get tested? Sorry if it’s redundant. I just wanted to know.

BUT THAT POINT IS THE POINT I ALWAYS TRY TO MAKE WHEN I HAVE TO DEFEND MY FRIEND WHO IS GAY. THESE SELF-RIGHTEOUS, HOLIER THAN THOU PEOPLE WHO PREACH OF THE SINS HOMOSEXUALS ARE COMMITTING ARE THE SAME PEOPLE WHO WILLINGLY HAVE OR CONDONE PREMARITAL SEX. BEING GAY IS NOT A CHOICE NO MATTER HOW MUCH PEOPLE WANT TO BELIEVE IT IS. HAVING PREMARITAL SEX, UNLESS YOU ARE RAPED, IS A CHOICE. SO WHERE IS THE PREACHING ABOUT THAT?

God is speaking through you! I know that the healing is foremost and believe me God knows that too, but He wants us to be in perfect peace with our minds stayed on Him! God is bigger than HIV, AID and GAY! Not necessarily in that order! I will tell you that the most important thing for you know is, the condition of your heart and then, you desire to do God’s will! Once your heart is fixed and your mind is made up, you will get deliverance!

Afterall, what can seperate us from God? HIV…NO! AIDS…NO! Death…NO! The only thing that can seperate us is sin and and our decision to live immoral lives! The more we “accept” sin, the more we seem to get sick and parish!

Sir,

The Lord will deliver & heal you.
Just call his name…

“Be Safe”, Please Allow me to lead you to Christ….
Repeat after me: Lord Jesus. I am a sinner.
I confess my sins to you right now Lord Jesus.
I know that Jesus Christ died on the Cross for the remission of my sins.
I now accept Jesus Christ as my personnel savior.
Lord Jesus, please come into my life.
I submit my mind, body & soul to you.
Please use me as an instrument to lead others to Christ.
Please heal my Body Lord. Your words say that “By YOUR stripes I am healed”.
I Renounce Satan and I rebuke his works & ways.
Help me Lord to live a life that would be pleasing to you.
Give me the strength Lord to turn my back on things that are not healthy for me.
Your word says that “My Body is the Temple of the Lord”, so from this day on, I will TRY not to do anything to displease you.
It is not your intention for your children to have illness, sickness or disease for we know that Illness is of the devil. Now That I am a child of the King, Please allow me the rights & privileges of being a “King’s Kid”
Thank you for saving & healing me Jesus.

Your welcome Sir !!

Know that God Loves you !!

God is not sitting up in Heaven with an attitude because you did xyz last night…

God gets “disappointed” with us sometimes, but never to the point where he won’t forgive us…

What’s important is to confess your sins, make amends, then move on…

God will place you sins in the sea of forgetfulness…
And he wants you to do the same thing !!!

“Be Safe”, What you should start doing NOW is confessing & proclaiming the word of God for your healing !!!

I’m going to write you an summarization of scriptures for HEALING that you will need to meditate on and recite on a daily basis…

God honors the prayers of the righteous Sir !!!

I’m praying for you sir. You have a Humble & contrite heart, and you are setting yourself up for a HEALING.

This is dedicated to my new brother in christ “Be Safe”

Please Say These Healing Scriptures daily
just like you’re taking medicine !!!

Healing Scriptures for those afflicted by an Illness

——————————————————————————–

Exodus 15:26
He said, “If you listen carefully to the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the LORD, who heals you.”

Exodus 23:25
Worship the LORD your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you.

Deuteronomy 7:15
The LORD will keep you free from every disease. He will not inflict on you the horrible diseases you knew in Egypt…

Deuteronomy 28:1-14, 61
If you fully obey the LORD your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. All these blessings will come upon you and accompany you if you obey the LORD your God: You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country. The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock–the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks. Your basket and your kneading trough will be blessed. You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out. The LORD will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven. The LORD will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. The LORD your God will bless you in the land he is giving you. The LORD will establish you as his holy people, as he promised you on oath, if you keep the commands of the LORD your God and walk in his ways. Then all the peoples on earth will see that you are called by the name of the LORD, and they will fear you. The LORD will grant you abundant prosperity–in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your ground–in the land he swore to your forefathers to give you. The LORD will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. The LORD will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the LORD your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom. Do not turn aside from any of the commands I give you today, to the right or to the left, following other gods and serving them.
The LORD will also bring on you every kind of sickness and disaster not recorded in this Book of the Law, until you are destroyed.

Deuteronomy 30:19-20
This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the LORD your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the LORD is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

I Kings 8:56
Praise be to the LORD, who has given rest to his people Israel just as he promised. Not one word has failed of all the good promises he gave through his servant Moses.

Psalm 91:16
With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation.

Psalm 103:3
Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits–who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases.

Psalm 107:20
He sent forth his word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave.

Psalm 118:17
I will not die but live, and will proclaim what the LORD has done.

Proverbs 4:20-23
My son, pay attention to what I say; listen closely to my words. Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; for they are life to those who find them and health to a man’s whole body.

Isaiah 41:10
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Isaiah 53:4-5
Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.

Jeremiah 1:12
The LORD said to me, “You have seen correctly, for I am watching to see that my word is fulfilled.”

Jeremiah 30:17
But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds,’ declares the LORD, `because you are called an outcast, Zion for whom no one cares.’

Joel 3:10
Beat your plowshares into swords and your pruning hooks into spears. Let the weakling say, `I am strong!`

Nahum 1:9
Whatever they plot against the LORD he will bring to an end; trouble will not come a second time.

Matthew 8:2-3
A man with leprosy came and knelt before him and said, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.” Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!” Immediately he was cured of his leprosy.

Matthew 8:17
This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah: “He took up our infirmities and carried our diseases.”

Matthew 18:18-19
“I tell you the truth, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. “Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven.

Matthew 21:21
Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, `Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done.

Mark 11:23-24
“I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, `Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

Mark 16:17-18
And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”

John 10:10
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

Romans 4:17-21
Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, “So shall your offspring be.” Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead–since he was about a hundred years old–and that Sarah’s womb was also dead. Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.

Romans 8:11
And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you.

II Corinthians 10:4-5
The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

Galatians 3:13-14
Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.” He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.

Ephesians 6:10-17
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Philippians 2:13
…for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose.

Philippians 4:6-7
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

II Timothy 1:7
For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.

Hebrews 10:23
Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.

Hebrews 10:35
So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded.

Hebrews 11:11
By faith Abraham, even though he was past age–and Sarah herself was barren–was enabled to become a father because he considered him faithful who had made the promise.

Hebrews 13:8
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

James 5:14-15
Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven.

I Peter 2:24
He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed.

I John 3:21-22
Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from him anything we ask, because we obey his commands and do what pleases him.

III John 2
Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.

Revelations 12:11
They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.

Everybody thanks for kind words. Not only am I gonna be blessed but you guys as well. Because you’re hearts are pure and full of love. Despite the things we joke and laugh about on here, humanity is still alive and God’s love is still in all of us. We need to stay strong to our hearts even outside CL. No matter who’s watching or how uncool we may look, cuz just as many people who may turn the other way, just as many will come to u in confidence to walk beside you. I’m proof of that. Just not on here, but outside this cyber world. I see the bigger picture, and God is setting us all up for wonderful Blessing! Merry Christmas.

@be safe—- just to add to what bill was saying… not to discourage you but to encourage you… there is a scripture (it’s at home in my notes) that i can’t pull up for you right now (i’m at work) but it says that paul had an infirmaty(sp) that he asked the Lord about 3 times and the Lord didn’t take it from him and instead told him to be happy and continue to serve through it. i say that just to encourage you just in case the Lord doesn’t take HIV from you to still remain with a good attitude and remain in His will for your life. it just proves even more that even when conditions aren’t the way you want them to be that you are still faithful to the Lord. He doesn’t always remove things from us. if you remember Jacob walked with a limp the rest of his life after wrestling the angel, but he limped away with his blesing. stay strong and faithful!!!!!!!!
