I wore my red outfit 2day. And the thing that kills me is that people think AIDS is this image on TV. That can never affect them, but if you think that you’re crazy. And the problem is not only that people are uneducated or they think it can’t happen to them. But people are scared to get tested because they don’t wanna find out they have AIDS, and when they do get tested they don’t tell anyone their status because they’re too ashamed.

EVERYONE SHOULD PROTECT THEMSELVES WHILE HAVING SEX, PERIOD! I’M A MARRIED WOMAN WHO DOESN’T USE PROTECTION, FOR I TRUST MY HUSBAND COMPLETLY. HOWEVER IF THERE’S ANY MARRIED WOMAN OUT THERE WHO HAS DOUBTS OR KNOW THAT THEIR HUSBAND IS BEIG UNFAITHFUL, USE PEROTECTION AND GET TESTED. I’VE BEEN MARRIED FOR 4 YEARS NOW AND I STILL GET TESTED ONCE A YEAR. EVEN THOUGH I MAY TRUST HIM, I AM NOT GOD SO I DONT KNOW EVERYTHING… JUST MAKE SURE YOU SPEAK TO YOUR SPOUSE ABOUT IT AND GET TESTED NO MATTER WHAT.

Mannn two people passed away in my family within a year apart of each other. They were my uncle and my (female) cousin. My uncle was my heart, my everything…

I was tested 3 weeks ago, my status is NEGATIVE. It is good to get checked on a regular basis PEOPLE (males & females)! GO GET TESTED EVERY BODY!

My cousin, she passed away about 7 years ago from AIDS. I admire her strength because despite her struggle with AIDS she stayed at the hospital day & night tending to her 12 year old son who suffered with CANCER of the nervous system. Sadly he passed away at the age of 13 shortly after she passed away.

& about 10 years prior to that I lost a good friend of mines to AIDS as well, I miss KEVIN to this day.

So I am sure we all have known or known of someone who has been stricken with this DEADLY VIRUS/DISEASE.

Thank for the information!! Didn’t know some of it!! But one thing I should say is that us black people should accepted black gay men in our community whether we think it right or wrong!!

Because we tend to reject them in our community as a result they will act straight and sleep with our women to be accepted in our community!! They tend to be called names, abused physically by us black people, this is not just happening in U.S but also United Kingdom!!

So if us black people want to reduce the numbers of people being infected, we should first accept black gays in our community. What I mean by this is by not putting them down, calling names, neglecting them and physically abusing them etc.

If there was more acceptance then perhaps black men wouldn’t feel the need to hide their sexuality by sleeping with men and women (when all they really want to do is sleep with men) thereby possibly contracting some disease and passing it on to others.

Everybody is aware aids exist and everybody knows how to protect themselves against this virus. So instead of passing around ribbons, why didn’t they pass around condoms perhaps. Passing out and wearing ribbons isn’t going to help any of us at the end of the day - this was a good approach 20 years ago when aids info was still virtually unknown and people didn’t know much about the disease. Like i said, they should have passed out condoms, maybe THAT would have actually saved someones life last night who was too cheap to go buy a condom. @239, I agree, on top of that. Not trying to be funny but they need to hand out larger condoms as large as Magnum XL. Like women who were larger bras, some men (like me) need larger condoms. This might be a little a personal, but lets put it out there. In college you can get free condoms at the health center. I’d have better luck wearing those on my thumb then the purpose it’s needed for. I’m not going to lie, I hated wearing condoms cuz they were really hard to put on and way too tight, but I realized maybe I should get a larger condom. What a differnce that made!

I only say this because we talk about sex ed, but we don’t talk about other things. Men, if your condoms are too tight, you may need a larger one.
