Beyonce could get all the acting lessons in the world, and she still will not be a good actress. Some people are just not actors, that’s it. You see how natural Jennifer Hudson was in that role? And how easily it was for her to slip into it? You can tell right off the bat who’s going to be able to cross over into acting and who’s not. 1. she did not have a strong role, this role was not far from her role in life. She should test her “acting” skills in a movie that is far away from the role of a beautiful singer.

Salma Hayek looked GORGEOUS in her dress. I was too through. I love her because she’s beautiful, brainy, and FABULOUS!!!

Out of all the stars pictured above, I think Jada is the best dressed feamle. That dress is bad, the hair is on point and she looks fab. Classic and elegant.

Mary’s dress looks grown and sexy as well but I’m not feeling the hair. I would have liked to see a darker color on her. The hair matching the skin gives her a washed out look.

I’m suprised I’m even saying this but Forrest looks great. He and the wife look nice.

You know, I remember seeing a diary segment on MTV when Beyonce’s was recording Crazy In Love and Destiny Child’s third album was coming out. She clearly stated that she was going to work as much as she could cause when she turned 30 “I don’t want to work”. I was like, damm, go on girl, I can’t blame you.

It’s hollywood, you can be hot one minute and cool the next, so I’m sure that if I know this, she definitely knows. And if she doesn’t all she had to do is look at Jennifer Lopez, Janet Jackson and Britney Spears to see how things can turn (and I’m not giving up on them either, I just think they need to regroup…Jennifer will more than likely pop back up since latinos are definitely making their marks in television and movies (or telenovelas), Janet needs to change her music to suit the club crowd (if you know what I mean….works for Madonna and Cher) and Britney just needs to leave the hamburgers alone, get detoxed a babysitter and leave the scuzzy men alone and get her shyt together and start making club tracks herself).

I’m sure Bey is getting on people’s nerves. Unfortunately, being a celebrity is harder now than in the past. If she takes a break for two years, someone else comes along to take the spotlight. But, if she is a true artist (and I think she has it in her) she should take a break, reinvent her craft and come back stronger.

Congrat’s to JHud and Eddy (who I think make the movie) too. I have to admit, I don’t really know what was so amazing about JHud’s performance (other than her magnificent signing), but I’m sure she’s as deserving as any of those other actresses. I actually thought Anika was the best actress in the movie and she’s gotten no shine. WTF?

Also, it was sweet when Beyonce got teary eyed during Jennifer’s speech. I know people like to pin these girls against each other, but I think that Bee is a genuinely nice person. She probably was disappointed that the movie didn’t do as much for her as an actress as she had hoped (awards, etc.), but I highly doubt she spending her time wishing the worst for someone else. Uh oh, hollywood has a new power couple, Eddie and Tracey. I can’t lie, they look cute together.

Of course Will and Jada set the standard for looking gorgeous.

There is something so endearing about Mary J. Her makeup and dress is absolutely perfect. I would have done a little something different with hair, but it doesn’t look bad at all. When they kept showing her during the ceremony, she just seem so down-to-earth. She has the most endearing qualities/personality. She don’t seem sad anymore. Thank God for that.

J-Lo looks stunning! Hair and makeup, scale 1-10- 20! She looks very elegant and her attire is appropriate for the occasion, not overly done, but sophisticated and not over-stated. She is so pretty, and to be honest, her and Marc look nice in these photos, i mean they look so happy.

That dress looks too busy on beyonce’s body structure. I think a thinner person could have worn that dress with class, but not her with them child bearing hips. Sometime when you have more flesh or bone structure, you have to be careful of the color choice and the material/beading glitter like outfits. Her hair is pretty. Her makeup doesn’t look good, or maybe she’s just lookin older, sort of look like the joker without the red lipstick.

Vanessa williams looked cute with the wild hair. Damn, i thought it was refreshing to see someone wear a more natural look. Her makeup was pretty too, and i loved her outfit. She chose well.

J. Hudd was so pretty and glamorous. Her makeup and hair was so soft and pretty. I liked her outfit too, it was fitting for the event.

I thought Anika Rose as well was the best actress and JHUd is a magnificent singer but her acting I wouldn’t say was outstanding (not hating, just an observation) she played the role of a woman that was forced to be a back-up singer because her look wasn’t perceived as acceptable for a lead singer. Isn’t that the very reason America didn’t choose her on American Idol? She could blow then, but america thought she didn’t fit the image, JHUD has also said that this had been a barrier before-so her role was not a far stretch from reality.

Beyonce’s acting wasn’t great either, mediocre at best, not a far stretch from reality either-lead singer because of her looks, not “the” best singer but good, but obviously well liked. Overall the movie was great as a whole, Eddie Murphy and Jamie Fox’s performances were excellent.

I was merely stating that Beyonce and Jennifer’s roles were not too far from their own personal experiences, I believe that actors or actresses can identify and emulate a role alot easier if they can personally identify with the character they are portraying. Not to take anything away from either of them, but I was more impressed with Eddie Murphy and Jamie Fox, personal opinion not an attack.

I really would like to know what part of the movie did beyonce or jhud acting really make you feel as either of them were great actresses? Beyonce-she cussed during a few scene, wow hadn’t heard her do that before but not far fetched. Her performance of “listen” during the scene with jamie fit well with what was goin on in the movie, but hell that’s what she does as well. Jennifer’s performance of “I’m not going” very powerful vocally but that is what she does, she’s an artist. I’ve seen the movie twice and neither of them had that much screen time. Jennifer Hudson character was an angry black woman with a bad attitude and a sense of entitlement, I don’t know but maybe she drew from her own personal experiences of rejection in the entertainment business because of her weight, just a thought.

And FYI, the entire cast of “Dreamgirls” acted and sang as well. JHUD, wasn’t the only one.

The performances, the wardrobe, and the cast made this movie -the director obviously had the right mix, the entire cast should be thankful to one another because w/o the suppposed real life battle between JHUD and Bey, I don’t think that this movie would have received the same amount of attention.

It’s a win/sin situation for all parties involved. Too bad so many of us can’t see that.

I am so happy my favorite show won - Ugly Betty. Yea!!! I thoguht Vanessa Williams looked flawless as usual. And the hair to me looked great. It was nice seeing something differnt from those lace front wigs and other tracks our black leading ladies usually rock.

Will Smith - I kinda figured he wouldnt win. Pursuit was a great movie, but his acting was not that challenging to me in comparison to Forest Whitaker’s role. I think Will shouldve won for Ali though. That was a very challengin role and you could tell he put his heart into it..just as he does with everything.

I am also very happy for Eddie Murphy and Jennifer Hudson. I was kinda turned off by Jaimie Fox’s introduction. Why was it neccessary for him to get on stage and give a shot out to Jay-Z, ya’ll was sittin at the same table..geez - we all knew he was there, the camera was on him enough.

As for Beyonce - I think enough has been said about her already. The dress and red carpet pose was not Globe appropriate. I also would have like to seen her look classier show less boobage, and a nice updo hairstyle. The dress was a little to gold and shimmery for the Globes. Take notes for the Oscars Bey. Still luv ya as a singer/dancer!

She wore that dress…but, being that it was the Golden Globes, the step before the Oscars, she should have taken the Hollywood glam rather than the Playboy Mansion glam approach. Jennifer, appreciate your sudden fanfare while you can because in 2-3 years, the sudden change of heart will occur.

From reading these responses, I can’t help but feel that some of this sudden J-Hud love is forced, only because you all are tearing down Beyonce in the same process. You’re not really a Jennifer Hudson fan like you’ve made yourselves out to be. You just wanted someone for the moment to out do Beyonce, no matter who it was and Jennifer just so happened to have come in at the right time. You people will be the exact same ones that’ll be bashing her within 2-3 years from now, talking about you’re sick of seeing her face plastered on TV, hearing her music, “J-Hud’s trying to be this, she’s trying to be that…” Fifty ass folks I tell ya… *smh*

I’m a Beyonce fan and I think the difference between a fan a stan, and a hater is OBJECTIVITY. Stans and haters ARE NOT objective. I call it like I see it and I don’t let fanaticism get in the way of the truth.

1. Beyonce is BEAUTIFUL.

2. Beyonce is a great entertainer (especially in this day and age when an artist is considered “good” if they can sing on key and dance at the same time). Is she the best singer out there? Hell nah. Is she the best dancer out there? Hell nah. BUT she does a good job of doing both and keeping people entertained so I’ll give her props for that.

3. Beyonce is a horrible, I repeat horrible actor. She sucks. Like someone said earlier–she just doesn’t have what it takes to be a good actor. No matter how many lessons she get, I think she will probably always suck at acting. That’s ok though, she just needs to stick with what she does best–music.

4. Beyonce over did it for the GG awards. She looked beautiful as usual but her dress was out of place for that awards show. She needed to tone that shit down a little.

See, haters and stans. That wasn’t hard. Also, I’m not saying everyone who talks shit about B is a hater and that everyone who sticks up for her is a stan. There is a middle ground but for all of you who go to the extreme on either side (and you know who you are)–cool out.

Why does it seem like I’ve seen Jennifer Hudson in that dress before…didn’t she wear something similar to this to the premiere of Dreamgirls (I think it was white and it had long sleeves). I wish she would have worn something with more color like she did at the Critics Choice Awards (that gold dress). She would have looked so much better. Even though I’m not too fond of this dress it seems as though she has a natural glow to her, I mean she has such a beautiful spirit and that’s what makes her beautiful.
Also I noticed that Angelina Jolie looked so uncomfortable. She looked kind of mean. lol
