I’m not sure what Ashanti was thinking about, but I really believe that this is a poor return to the scene. There are so many other things going on with music (even if it is stuff redone from the 80′s) right now and she chooses to pretty much take an entire chorus from a rap song and try to flip it and make it an R&B track? I really thought that after hearing “My Number, Babe,” Ashanti was going come up with something more than the typical mid-tempo track with a featuring by Jim Jones (that’s right, let’s all hop on the band-wagon). I don’t know, this is a tad bit disappointing. Her writing’s also usually a little better. I can’t see myself riding or clubbing to this. But hey, you be the judge…

I really like this song and pretty sure the rest of the album is going to be hot, Ashanti named alot of popular artists she worked with. Besides that I’m glad she decided to make decisions on her own. I got tired of seeing her with JaRule. I think she will do fine all by herself. I love Beyonce, Ashanti, Alicia Keys.

All I have to say is that Ashanti is very different from the other female R&B singers out there, she has her own style. Ashanti can sing because I’ve heard her sing live. I’m not going to judge her for being different, I enjoy her music. I can’t wait for her to make a come back. I don’t judge people who are doing positive things.
