Ne-Yo is back with a new single, “Because of You.” Although I wasn’t sure what the big deal was with Ne-Yo in the past, I have come to appreciate his ability as a writer. The boy can throw together a nice song. It’s diggable because it sort of gives me a Michael Jackson feel, as well as a tad bit of the 90′s, which I love some R&B that’s been coming out over the past month. Ne-Yo has definitely proven to be a success story from writer to artist. I love to see young people doing their thing, and making that money. ‘Cause everyone knows the real dough comes from writing.

This song has been on repeat since I found it online a little while ago. It is straight FIYAH! He is a monster with the pen and pad. People write him off for whatever reasons but that can’t deny, the kidd is pure talent! Imma be the first bitch in line when his new album drops this spring.
Totally off the subject but u should do a who rocked it better between fantasia and lil kim.They both wore the same black hoody jacket with the fur around the hood.Fantasia wore hers to trl recently and lil kim wore hers to some party a lil while back.I think it would be interesting to see what people have to say.

NeYo is mad overrated as a writer. Jill Scott is a pure songwriter, Rashad Patterson, not NeYo. Isn’t he the man behind the famous “to the left to the left”? LOL
And this song sounds like a clever remix of “So Sick” so that people won’t automatically recognize the musical base of the instrumental, but if you pay attention you can hear the similarities.

WOW..i’ve loved Ne-Yo..ever since hes come out with So Sick..and His first album is absolutley hot!!! Hes a genius with that pen and paper, creating some of the best music..to this day!!! I can’t wait for Ne-Yo’s next album..and this song is HOT!!! yea it does have a MJ factor to it..but ne-yo does put his spin to it!!

^^^ Yes and so was “if you wanna be my lover” by the spice girls, and that song was garbage. Who are you to tell me who I’m supposed to give props to when I’m a consumer and judge what I find good or not for myself like anybody else? I find it interesting that people call NeYo one of the greatest songwriters, when Jill Scott or India Arie are clearly on another level, who doesn’t get their due props now?

I am feeling Ne-Yo’s signature sound. Good track for a first release from his latest cd. I wish he had kept “Irreplaceable” for himself…
