So, you can miss me with that comment! Women of color choose to relax their hair because it’s easier to maintain certain types of hair by doing so. The women that choose to rock an AFRO have chosen to do so and that works for them. But don’t knock the women that don’t! My mom wore an AFRO the majority of her life but my hair is fine and not that hair type. However, my daughter’s hair is long, thick and kinky from her father whose ironically half white/half black. I had no choice but to perm her hair because it is hard to manage natuarlly.
