a bunch of singles off of one cd isn’t strange. y’all remember brandy’s “never say never” album from ‘98? they did video’s for like 5 tracks. plenty other artists have done it also.

Releasing a lot of singles isn’t bad because its a good way to make as much money off of an album you possibly can. That only happens when the album is a hit off the gate,(with the exception of the Keyshia Cole album where the 3rd single “Should of Cheated” became a moderate hit and then “Love” a smash. It showed that her label believed in her, because most likely she would have been forgotten after the first two singles flopped.)

Labels try to make even more money by releasing Special Edition discs, with three more songs to capitalize more on a hot album.

The only thing bad about it is that it makes it nearly impossible to equal the success of the first album. Chris Brown is going to have a lot of pressure on him to come out with the hits. But it looks like there has been a lot of investment in his career, so he should be fine.

You’re basically wasting money…putting out all of those singles and your album is still at 1 million and something thousand copies. I’m not hating on Chris. Do your thang. I just wont be buying it. LOL

Secondly one of my favourite artist Usher who is Chris mentor couldn’t do what Chris has done with his first album at 16, he could only do that with his follow up which was “My Way” when he was 19yrs of age that was in 1997, so I still mantain Chris is a legend in a making by the time he turns 19 he would be bigger than what he is right now. As for dancing that’s he’s talent he can’t help it and some of us really enjoy that so stop hating and pray that your favourite tired Rn’B acts catch a WAKE UP cause the kid is here and he is here to stay, love CHRIS or hate him he still gonna do BIG things for the future and yes……. already he is an inspiration to a lot of young ones even grown ups….STOP HATING it’s not good for your system think of something more positive and add knowladge to your life, the more you hate on him the more he doubles his success.

^ First, I don’t got a problem with Chris. He’s a cool dude, but… let’s face it, the dude needs more work on his music. (Listened to the album… big snore.) Second, Mariah, Mary J., Beyonce, Janet, Usher, Robin Thicke, and Ciara do not need a wake up call. They never needed one. As Chris probably loves doing what he does, so do they, but let’s face it… he hasn’t released anything that I can remember. Can’t rely on the “baby, I love you” or “Hey shortie” lines forever. That’s my opinion on Chris, no hatred, no dislike or nothing… I may pick up his second album, maybe, if he has grown up into his music. BTW, Brandy’s debut album went 4x platinum when she was 15.
