ISAIAH WASHINGTON GETS HELP FOR SAYING ‘FAGGOT’

Thursday, January 25, 2007

isaiah_storyagain.jpg

Isaiah Washington, who does the healing as a doctor on “Grey’s Anatomy,” is the patient now. He’s in therapy for his use of an anti-gay slur against a castmate.

“With the support of my family and friends, I have begun counseling. I regard this as a necessary step toward understanding why I did what I did and making sure it never happens again,” Washington said in a statement Wednesday. “I appreciate the fact that I have been given this opportunity and I remain committed to transforming my negative actions into positive results, personally and professionally.”

Washington took a break from filming Tuesday to meet with gay rights activists and offer help in educating the public about the cruelty of such words, an offer the activists called sincere. Whether Washington was receiving outpatient counseling or had entered a facility was not specified, and the statement did not indicate whether he would miss work on the show…

Series creator and executive producer Shonda Rhimes issued her own statement, at once criticizing Washington for his use of the word “faggot” about co-star T.R. Knight and lauding Washington’s decision to seek help.

“I speak for all the executive producers here at ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ when I say that Isaiah Washington’s use of such a disturbing word was a shocking and dismaying event that insulted not only gays and lesbians everywhere, but anyone who has ever struggled for respect in a world that is not always accepting of difference,” Rhimes said. I guess it helps for you to understand this if you were homosexual as well… but for me…it’s just as bad as if a white person uses the N word… and perhaps it’s a good thing he is getting so much shit for saying it…honestly it might help people not throw that word around so much

You know what ISAIAH is letting these WHITE folk BRAINWASH his @SS!! While I understand how that word “FAGGOT” can be offensive to some, is it really that serious to drive the man to THEREPY? That just irritates me. Hell KRAMMER said the word NI**ER about 510 times within’ TWO minutes and you don’t see his @SS crying to DR. PHIL! ISAIAH get it together brotha, your “PROBLEM” is not that big, so don’t let them get in your mind and make you think sh*t is BIGGER then what it is. Hell I don’t even watch that D@MN show and they got me GOIN’ OFF!…Okay i’m finished…NEXT!!

OF ALL THE THINGS TO HAVE TO GO TO REHAB FOR, THEY SEND THIS MAN TO REHAB FOR SAYING A WORD THAT HE SAID HE DIDNT SAY?

SEE, THIS IS THE DEMASCULATION OF THE BLACK MAN IN THE MEDIA.

HE SET HIMSELF UP FOR THIS BC HE TALK TOO MUCH.

HE SHOULD HAVE JUST KEPT HIS MOUTH SHUT AND NOT SAID NOTHING ABOUT NOBODY-

FREEDOM OF SPEACH UNFORTUNATLY DOES NOT SEEM TO APPLY TO BLACK MEN IN HOLLYWOOD.

JUST LIKE I PREDICTED, THE “VELVET MAFIA” HAS SENT THE WORD ON HIM.

THEY’RE TRYING TO HUMILIATE HIM BUT

HE SHOULD HAVE KEPT HIS MOUTH SHUT.

THIS IS A PRIME EXAMPLE OF A MAN WHO GOT TOOOOOOO COMFORTABLE IN A FOREIGN SETTING.

THIS ISNT ABOUT HIM USING THE WORD, THIS IS ABOUT MAKING HIM LOOK LIKE DOOGIE’S BITCH.

THERAPY?

UNBELIEVABLE-

TAKE NOTES HOLLYWOOD HOPEFULS

no. it’s not pointless. it is now unacceptable to openly use homphobic slurs, i think it’s a change for the better. i am tired of the flippant attitude towards homohobia that i come across in the black community. i’ve met people who say that gay rights and civil rights are completely different, but no they’re really not. people seem to think all gay people are white and from the suburbs. i’m gay, and i’m black, and i am from a black community. i grew up with the same african-american culture as everyone else, in a black family, i just happen to be gay. what if isaiah had said this in reference to a gay black castmate, would it make a difference? i will say that he didn’t directly call t.r. knight the f-word but he was definitely using it against him, and that’s bad enough. i also think that people don’t realize that his actions could jeopardize the entire show. people are talking about boycotts, petitions, and getting him fired (which could throw the storyline off). do you think that’s fair to shonda rhimes, one of VERY FEW succesful black women behind the camera? isaiah is lucky that all he has to do is meet with a gay group (glaad) and go to therapy because he couldn’t keep his prejudices or mouth in check. i think he’s the type of person that would take his frustration out on one of the easiest and most marginalized targets, gay people. and i’ve heard he was difficult to work with on other sets. he also needs to find a way to express himself tactfully, because addressing the topic the way he did at the golden globes=unacceptable. which, to my mind, means he should be in therapy anyway.

Man I type a lot and it didnt post. OK so my thoughts are this. Im OVER it! Like my girl Tichina Arnold said, they forgave Michael KKKramer so lets move on! Im a lesbian and I wasnt offended. I loved Isaiah since lovejones days and for a brotha who seems so intelligent and profound…wow. Im pissed only cuz he lied (REAL BAD) on national tv and showed poor class by saying what he said at the Golden Globes of all places. All this crap about him firing his publicist and hiring a new team just to revive his career or whatver…the public knows when ur not real and he isnt keeping it real. I doubt he will get fired but he will lose respect and some of his fan base. I lost interest in his character but maybe bcuz of the respect I lost too. Anyhoo sorry for the novel…then again ppl post WAY longer stuff than this and think ppl actually read it all. Hell I doubt if anyone is reading all this. lol

@ louise- you are ridiculous. who in the hell is the “velvet mafia” and what do you mean by that? and gay guys giving each other high fives? just shut the f**k up. and no i don’t want this particular situation publicized forever but i do want this to be a catalyst for change. people need to think before they use that word and make homophobic comments (louise). and about micheal richards, everybody was talking about that shit for weeks AND he’s not currently working(and rightly so). have you seen him anywhere? because i haven’t. his career=done. isaiah could be out of a job and blacklisted too, especially because he’s black. i’ve said it before and i’ll say it again isaiah is lucky that all he has to do is apologize and go to therapy.

SLOANE,

YOUR BEING TOOOOO DEFENSIVE HERE.

GAY GUYS GIVING HIGH FIVES IS PROBABLY AN ACCURATE ASSESMENT BC THEY ARE MOST LIKELY SEEING IW IN REHAB AS A STEP TOWARDS SOMETHING GOOD.

HE WAS CHASTISED FOR HIS BELIGERANT TALK.

I DID NOT SAY ANYTHING NEGATIVE ABOUT GAYS IN THE POST.

IF YOU READ, I SAID, HE SHOULD HAVE KEPT HIS MOUTH CLOSED.

THE VELVET MAFIA IS A TERM USED TO DESCRIBE SOME OF THE MOST POWERFUL AND INFLUENTIAL EXECUTIVES IN FILM AND HOLLYWOOD WHO HAPPEN TO BE GAY.

THEY ARE ALSO SOMETIMES RUTHLESS AND JUST AS SHIESTY AS ANYBODY ELSE.

THEY WILL CHECK YOU AND THEY OBVIOUSLY PUT PRESSURE ON GA AND THAT’S WHY IW IS NOW IN REHAB.

THESE PEOPLE DO EXIST

WHAT’S WRONG WITH THE TERM?

IS THAT HOMOPHOBIC TOO?

YOU ACT LIKE ALL GAY PEOPLE ARE INNOCENT HARMLESS VICTIMIZED FAWNS.

THE LAST I CHECKED, SOME GAYS WERE VERY SUCCESSFUL AND MAKING TONS OF MONEY IN THE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY.

STOP BEING A VICTIM ALL THE TIME.

SOME GAYS CAN BE JUST AS VENGEFUL AND PETTY AS STRAIGHT PEOPLE.

YOU SEE IW’S ASS IS IN REHAB, NOW DONT YOU?

GAYS USE INTIMIDATING PRACTICES JUST LIKE STRAIGHT PEOPLE.

DONT TAKE THE HOMOPHOBIA THING TOO FAR.
EVERYBODY DOES NOT HATE GAYS.
YOUR YELLING AT THE WRONG PERSON.

YOU WANT EQUALITY?

WELL HERE IT IS!

I understand that using that word offends gays and lesbians just as the N word offends us, but damn!Just like we fianlly let the whole Kramer thing go it’s time to let this go also.I am really tired of hearing about this, there is not enough help out there that is going to make him change how he feels.Yeah he may smile and give statements(which always seems to dig him into a deeper hole)but it really doesn’t mean anything if he doesn’t mean it and no one knows how this man feels. So they can keep having meetings and saying that he is getting help but he already tore his ass with quite a few people. It’s time for this to end.

But for everyone

Okay, now close your eyes and sing this:

Kumbaya my lord
Kumbayaaaaa

Now this is the last song, okay? (deep breath):

We shall overcome
We shall overcome
We shall over come some daaaaaaaaay aaaay aaaaaaay
Oh oh deeeeeeep in my heart
IIIIIIII still believe
We shall overcome some daaaaaaaay

Boy, he looks like a puppet right now.
Did KKKramer go to therapy?
He should have not let the media get to him at the Golden Globes which is where this whole thing started up again. When they asked him the question, “did he call his co-star a faggot”, he should have just stood there and kept his control. The media likes to trip people up. He is really stupid to think that he was being cute by grabbing the mic and answering their questions. It was not the place to talk about the incident so he should have just brushed off the question no matter what the media had to say.

And, why is he going to therapy again? He used the word and now he is getting the shit kicked out of him including his own boot up his own rear-end. He should have just been more sensitive to his co-star by not using the word again on National TV. He looked real stupid because in trying to defend himself he reaffended his co-star.

Word of advice Isaiah, TAKE YOUR STUPID PILL AND SHUT UP! AND GOING TO THERAPY TO SAVE FACE ONLY MAKES YOU LOOK LIKE A WEAK MINDED IDIVIDUAL!

Once again because a dude is black they’re blowing this shit way out of proportion, but even so i blame his ass, he need to learn when to shut the fuck up, he reopened the whole damn thing for no reason. KKKramer did his shit, but his racist ass know better than to talk about it too much, just let shit blow over and most will forget. And forgive me but y is Fag a bad word, i mean doesn’t it just mean gay, i guess it become offensive just for sounding harsh and is usually followed by an ass whopping. I mean nigger means all sorts of bad shit, but that word just means gay, which they are anyway. Really someone explain to me y the word Faggot is offensive, i want to understand.

Whatever happen to the freedom of speech clause. Kramer didn’t have to go to therapy for calling some brother a “Nigger” publically too! I don’t get why they are blowing this whole thing out of proportion. I really don’t! I understand that there will be some gay people who are offended about being called a faggot. But let’s keep it real sometimes that is how that particuliar gay man is acting. I am all for freedom of speech and he should not have apologized as much as he did in public. That fight was between the two of them.

47.

2phyne4u

I hope he doesn’t lose his job; I personally can’t stand him, because he is a bold faced liar. He apologized to his co-workers and everything was okay on the set of GA until he opened up his big ass mouth a second time. When they asked him about the incident at the GG awards he should’ve just said, my co-workers and I have no problems with each other so there is no need to comment. But, instead this asshole lied and said, “He didn’t say it.” This means the apology he gave after saying the word faggot, was bogus. How in the hell can you feel sorry for something you deny even saying? I think I was more upset at him for not having the balls to admit he said it rather than the actual usage of the word even though the slur is not acceptable.

I personally don’t agree with homosexuality but, it doesn’t give me as well as anyone else the right to use a derogatory slur towards homosexuals or anybody. The word nigger and faggot doesn’t compare to each other; however there isn’t a derogatory slur for heterosexuals so it’s impossible to compare how offensive the word faggot is towards homosexuals to a slur towards heterosexuals that doesn’t even exist. I think people use that analogy only to show the offensiveness in the usage of both words.

As far as people thinking everyone should get over it, it was over until his dumb ass brought it up again. If you can’t stand the heat then get out the kitchen. It also pisses me off when black people are given golden opportunities to show their abilities of being capable of doing just as good if not a better job than white people. But, we mess it up with bull crap.

Wow…this is a really despicable society we live in. Everybody is so fucking sensitive. The Homos, the so-called Jews, the Muslims, every fucking body is sensitive. Only Black folks aren’t allowed to be sensitive. If Black folks ever get angst about a situation, we are told to “let it go.” I guess that’s the price of fame - sometimes you gotta tuck your tail between your legs and go sit in a corner somewhere.

Damn first he admitted to saying it and apologized, then he said he never said it, now he’s in therapy for saying it! Looks like this dude needs to be in therapfy for a couple of reasons. Secondly, if he was a “real ni**a” there’s no way he woulda let these white folks put him through so much BS about saying the word faggot. Who gives a damn? Black folks get called worse things than that on a daily basis and nobody’s going to therapy for that! I woulda kindly apologized (because he did offend someone and thats the right thing to do), then that would have been the end of it. After that, anybody who was still trippin coulda kissed my ass!

Washington should be terminated from GA for no other reason than he is an uncouth idiotic mess. It was bad enough he offended his co-worker(s) by saying in the first place, but then he goes and makes the GG all awkward by grabbing the mike and denying the truth.

I am not down with the whole “he said it, get over it” piece. People, especially those who have been fortunate to have exposure to this degree, need to be held to the highest standards. All he did was perpetuate stereotypes about Black masculinities and how we are so homophobic. Completely unacceptable. It is one thing if you quietly harbor such feelings, but you should remain professional and keep your trap shut. He must go!

#29 said: ummmmm…. why is this such a big deal? Isaiah dont need no counseling. who doesnt use that word, i mean come on really. gay guys call ech other fag all the time

Black teenagers and men walk around calling each other n*gga all the time…but hate hearing a white kid use it. Well, if y’all gonna call each other that word then why shouldn’t white people do the same? What’s the big deal, right?

Sorry, racial and/or sexual slurrs shouldn’t be tolerated in any workplace. It makes it an uncomfortable environment. Besides if that m*thaf*cka woulda called me a faggot, not only would he be in cousneling but I would be calling for his resignation or firing. Why should my place of employment be uncomfortable for me because this man couldn’t keep his intolerance quiet. Yo, for real, his ass woulda been hit by the door on the way out.

How anyone can stand up for this extreme piece of shit is beyond me. Calling a gay person a f—- is like calling one of us a n—–. There’s no difference!!! I hope they fire his ass.

there’s a HUGE difference between calling someone a FAG and a NIGGER.
One of those differences is AA’s cannot chose what race they wanna be. We are born into this oppressive society and discriminated against by ALL races.
One cannot HIDE the fact that they’re AA or Black.
Homosexuals, though I feel they were BORN that way, have a choice to hide their orientation (like NEYO).
For goodness sakes, we’re talking about SEXUAL ORIENTATION HERE. AKA–who one screws! Stop comparing the two!

BTW what’s the name of this so-called therapy? Fagaholics anonymous?

Why should homosexuals have to hide their sexual orientation? If they’re born that way why should they have to hide it? Why should they feel like they’re supposed to be embarrased about their sexual preference just because some people have a problem with tolerance? Isiah’s lack of tolerance is not T.R. Knight’s problem…he shouldn’t have to hide his lifestyly just because IW doesn’t approve. Fugg that.

This is the future, or present, of America. It’s one example of a concerted attempt to force the black community to be “less homophobic” and particularly to effeminize black men. Isaiah Washington must be “counseled” for being against homosexuality, lol. Soon people may have to be counseled for not being homosexual. They were already going to write him out of the script anyway for the first time he called out that homosexual but now he’s made it even easier. I’m trying to figure out why he’s lying and why he’s putting himself through this counseling ordeal. If you called the man a faggot, man up and stand by what you said. If not, then he should sue because the homo went on Ellen Degeneres and said that Isaiah Washington called him a faggot. I hope he’s not going through all this false contrition to look for pity because pity is not something that black men receive, lol.

A lot of people are trying to use the race card in this issue but I don’t believe that’s true. If it came out that Patrick Dempsey, who is probably the biggest star of the show, made those comments he would probably also have had it printed all over the internet. However, the difference is that he would probably have a much better publicist and damage control team that would have advised him to never say that word again. Isaiah Washington must not have the right people around him advising him.

@Judah I so agree with you. I mean in hollywood if you say anything about jews your anti semitic and gays your homophobic. I thought phobias was a condition to which your scared of it. I am sick of labels period. The man was probably provoked. You know some some queens get. He probably was on his man mentrual that week and probably said a snide remark or two to Isaiah and Isaiah probably snapped and flashed on him. I just wish this dang issue would die down. There are alot of people who wont admit it but they dont approve or agree with the homosexual lifestyle. I mean for me personally to each its own. I could care less but its a sad state of affairs when a lifestyle you dont agree with is pushed down your throats as if its the norm. 10% of the population is homosexual or practices it and that should tell you that those statistics alone that its not in the norm.
I dont want my children exposed to it and to be honest if my children were to grow up and be gay I would be very very upset and it would take me a while to accept it. Now would I disown my children or not speak to them..NO but it would take a lot of prayer and help to move past it.

I do remember him playing a gay man in that movie and that’s exactly why I think this issue of him blurting out the word is somewhat staged. Isiah is a trained actor and has been in the business far too long for this type of simpleton BS. This makes me wonder if there isn’t more to the story.

It reminds me of the apology that Krammer gave over and over, he was just as ashamed for using the n word and you could tell he was just as sincere. This is a fine example of a moral having black role model. He’s even going to counseling to figure out why he said what he said. I am just happy he isn’t going because his job is on the line and it was either counseling or being canned. Isaiah, with your belief system, morals, and values, I think you should quit the show and run for president.

87.

JUDAH

@84

Right, phobias are supposed to denote fear. So hypothetically, if you’re against homosexuality, you’re supposed to fear them or their condition, lol. It’s a weak mindgame that weak people attempt to use to get strong people to succumb to that shit. It’s ironic how close-minded these open-minded people are supposed to be. It’s alright to accept that lifestyle but they’ll try to castigate the people who are against it, even if you’re not violently against them. That’s how you know it’s an agenda and they’re aiming it at the children. Isaiah Washington is a casualty of not peeping the game because black people (especially black men) who see this situation clearly must move with prudence. Unfortunately some black women are friendly or apathetic with homosexuals and they buy into the whole homosexual movement. Now you have so many weak black men that, just to appease those type of women, they’ll claim that they have no problem with homosexuality because they’re “secure” or “not homophobic”. Whatever man.

THE COMMENTS ON THIS PAGE R RIDICULOUS!!

1) how can anyone say that “this is over with”? it’s not and the reason why it’s not is b/c he said it again after all those months. HE opened the wounds, not the media. i had already forgotten about it but he had to OPEN HIS MOUTH again at an AWARDS show for crying out loud. he’s stupid

2) so what if gays call themselves the word. we (not me, but a lot of blacks i know) call ourselves nigger ALL THE TIME but that doesn’t mean the word is okay. and fyi NIGGA and NIGGER r the SAME. spellings don’t mean anything and deep down you all know it because you still wouldn’t let a white person say nigga

3) the reason why KRAMER didn’t have to go to counseling is b/c he was ALREADY SEEING A PSYCHIATRIST. can’t you see he already had problems b4 the outburst. he was seeing a psychiatrist b/c he was depressed. after the outburst. he was still seeing the psychiatrist and he also met with members of the black community so it’s not like he didn’t do anything. IW obviously needs therapy b/c he’s flushing his career down the toilet. and something everyone forgot is that he actually started a physical fight with patrick dempsey when he said the word. he TOOK HIM BY THE THROAT. that alone shows that he needs help. therapy would be a good thing for him

4) i don’t think the word faggot is exactly like the word nigger b/c nigger comes from hundreds of years of slavery and years of the white peple taking black land. however faggot is still a very bad word and should not be said. i do thnk there are similarities between racism and homophobia just like there are similarities between antisemitism and them. it’s HATE either way

AND I JUST WANT TO END BY SAYING THAT IT”S SAD THAT SO MANY PEOPLE ON THIS POST R SO READY TO SAY THAT THE ISSUE IS OVER WITH THEY KNOW DAMN WELL THAT IF IT HAD BEEN PATRICK DEMPSEY CALLING IW A NIGGER, THEY WOULD WANT HIM KICKED OFF IN A SECOND. WE NEED TO STOP BEING SO FREAKIN’ PREJUDICED B/C IT KEEPS BLACK MEN ON THE DL AND NEGATIVELY AFFECTS BLACK WOMEN WHO DON’T KNOW THEIR MEN ARE SLEEPING WITH OTHER MEN

OK after sorting it all out…..
I think the above poster is correct. He did say to Patrick Dempsey “I’m not your little faggot” or whatever. So when he denied calling TR a faggot, he was correct. He did not say that word to his face. However the word and the reference was said and it was inappopriate regardless of where you stand on the gay issue, because he said it in the WORKPLACE. Anybody on here try saying that shit with witnesses present in an argument. Isiah is lucky he’s on a TV show and can use the notoriety to his advantage by helping out the gay rights movement. We wouldn’t be so lucky.
Also, Katherine Heigl never said that he didn’t say the word in the first place. She did say he needs not to talk in public and that TR is her best right. And also, the cast of Grey’s was asked by a reporter about the incident, and Shonda at first said “Are you serious” to whatever question was asked (you can’t hear the reporter) and then started to respond and Isaiah stepped forward and said the f-word again. His coworkers body language behind him is classic. It’s all documented on youtube.

I do not in a million years condone what Isaiah said, or that he lied about it in front of everybody and in such poor taste. However I do think this Rehab thing is ridiculous…I feel that it has everything to do with slavery. Michael Richards using and abusing a racial epithet the way he did made a few apologies and now we as black people are s’posed to be okay with just that, no one is talking about him anymore and it did’nt affect the sales of the new seinfeld dvd that came out that same week that he did it. After the Golden globes debacle that weeks Grey’s anatomy episode brought in 23 million viewers to ABC, 1 million MORE than the previous week, but yet the media, ABC, everyone is not letting this go, after the man has apoologized publicly and to GLAAD leaders etc. Why then does he have to go to rehab? give me a fucking break that really upsets me, it’s all about control, it’s about discipling the black man who got out of line, they want him to grovel, they want him to understand that without their show he is nothing. The whole thing is sick. Shonda Rhimes as a black woman should tell the ABC execs who are obviously controlling her that enough is enough, he’s made all the neccessary steps and it’s time to move on, not parade him around like some little boy who misbehaved and is now on punishment. They’ve brainwashed even Isaiah at this point beacuse he’s going along with this public slaughtering he’s receiving cause right now he’s living in a place of fear. This shit has to end.

“i’ve met people who say that gay rights and civil rights are completely different, but no they’re really not”

Oh, yes the hell they are!! Give me a freakin break! The struggles of our ancestors who did not CHOOSE to be black, getting hit upside the head with rocks, getting lynched, being ill-treated has NOTHING to do with gay rights issues! Don’t get it twisted! Black people had to fight for HUMAN rights, EQUAL rights that we should have had because we are children of God too.

What rights are gay people fighting for exactly? As far as I can tell, you ALL have HUMAN rights. You can eat where you want to eat, go to school where you want to go to school, live where you want to live, so what damn rights are ya’ll constantly talking about? Or is that you want the RIGHT to infringe your damn beliefs off on the rest of us and make us accept it? Well, wouldn’t that interfere with our rights?

My point is, get your shit straight (no pun intended). If you want to be gay or be whatever, do it. But stop being so damn ooberly sensitive about everything and trying to play on the sympathies of people by comparing your “situations” to something so far and above anything that you all are going thru, such as comparing your “struggles” to that of African-American’s struggles. PRACTICE WHAT U PREACH

Thursday, January 25, 2007 /

I wasn’t there you can probably google it, but what Isaiah was supposed to have said was, “I’m not your little faggot like T.R.” when the story first broke the article said, “I’m not your little faggot like “name deleted”. That was the first time he used the word and apologized. After he said the word faggot a second time and then denied it at the GG awards T.R.K. was upset and came forth and gave the media his name. So it’s not as if T.R.K. had came out bitching and whining about being called a faggot, we would’ve never known his name if Isaiah hadn’t used the word faggot a second time and denied he called him a faggot in the first place..

There is nothing wrong with being against homosexuality, if he feels it is wrong he is entitled to feel that way but using derogatory slurs towards anyone in my opinion is childish and uncalled for. I would think that Isaiah has been in the industry long enough to know that you are going to have to work with all types of different people. He doesn’t have to agree with the lifestyles of everyone he works with. But if he hasn’t learned by now how to tolerate indifferences at work, especially in his profession, he is in a sad state. I am not for homosexuality and that was the way I was taught but what’s so hard about coming to work, doing your job and keeping your personal beliefs to yourself? Is he that simple minded? It’s not that damn hard to do. No matter what he feels about homosexuality in the industry he is in, he is going to have to accept the fact that he is going to have to work with homosexuals while filming on the show and any other movie he makes. Either he should learn how to tolerate not condone it and keep his mouth shut, if he wants a job or find another profession.

I don’t think he should have to go to counseling for what he truly believes in his heart is wrong, and I don’t think empathy can be taught so he should just learn what he should have already learned at the age of 5 and that is there is a time and place to say certain things. I know its freedom of speech but would you go cursing in church? No, you wouldn’t you’d save that for another time and place. So did he have the right to say it? According to freedom of speech; yes. Should he have said it at that time and place? IMO no.

It’s not the quality of the product, it’s how it’s packaged. It’s funny how Dempsey swooped in and injected himself into the confrontation as soon as it happened. He must’ve always had some repressed anger against Isaiah his damn self. Thankfully for Isaiah, he had the restraint to just choke his ass up and not whoop on him like he could have. Yes that is the same incident, he did snatch up PD, that’s why T.R.K. didn’t understand why his name was brought into their fight in the first place. But, in all honesty for IW to have said, “I’m not your little faggot, like T.R.” sounds like PD must have said something out of line or demeaning. Notice how PD never said anything to the media about the incident were IW put his hands on him. So either they (ABC) wanted to push it under the rug, they really had settled the disagreement amgonst themselves or PD said something really out of line, that he didn’t want his fans to hear about.

#105-no you idiot, i’m not fully enfranchised. i can’t be affectionate with whomever i want in my own black community because i’m afraid of being physically attacked by other black people. i can’t provide for when i have a partner and kids the same way as straight people because there are about 1,000 rights and benefits that come with marriage. i have people, especially black men, questioning and threatening me because of my sexuality. i am discriminated against in the job market, not only because i’m a black woman, but also because i’m a lesbian. hate crimes, rapes, suicide rates are exceptionally high among homosexuals. about 40% of street youth are gay, and that statistic includes black kids. they most likely aren’t on the street of their own accord, they were probably violently kicked out, like i was when i came out to my family. i can’t tolerate people like yourself that act as though all gay people are white and that homosexuality is something from the suburbs.

i’m black and i’ve grown up with the same african-american culture as everyone else, in a black neighborhood. i love black people, but we need to let the homophobia go because it’s eventually going to destroy us. there are black men (and women, too) choosing to act as if they are straight, with wives, girlfriends, and children sneaking around with other men because they’re afraid to come out to their own families and communities. i think hypermasculinity and bible thumping run rampant in our communities too. anything that preaches intolerance and ignorance is bad for us and that goes for fucked up preachers and the lunkheads who have to prove their masculinity by discriminating against others who don’t measure up to it. i think civil rights and gays rights are similar because discrimination against blacks and gays have followed similar paths in this country. and to address your statement about discrimination, what about gay black people? don’t you think they were discriminated against back in the day? that they weren’t intimidated, subjugated, and lynched same as other black people? maybe not only because of the color of their skin, but because of their sexuality as well? have you EVER thought about that? do you even care? probably not. i have, because the legacy of black history and gay history belong to me. and to correct your idiotic statment about choice, nobody CHOOSES to be gay, not in this world. you have to realize when you engage in homophobic behavior or lobby against gay rights you’re hurting people in your community, too. do you get it?

no dumbass you have a choice of being real or being fake. you can choose to “act” straight, or choose to be true to yourself. what do you think, everybody in the world should just be straight for your personal comfort? think about it, would you like be with a guy who was “acting” straight or a man who really thought he was. it is important for people to be true to themselves.

i was going to write something again, then i realized that there was no point b/c there is just too much ignorance on this page. most of you really don’t know the difference between your opinion and general etiquette and are highly hypocritical as well. this is why the black community will never be fully accepted. we have enough prejudice against us yet we still spread even more prejudice and stereotypes against other groups (gays, muslims, asiana). we even do it to ourselves (jamaicans vs. haitians, light vs. dark). it’s pretty sad and it upsets me when i have white ppl comment to me on this but there’s nothing i can do to change such backwards thinking.

and this whole talk about whether the term “homophobia” means something is really stupid. some of you are taking the word literally and it shouldn’t be taken literally. it makes me wonder if you even went to school and if so how far. the fear is in the subconscious. people never like what is different from them because they are afraid of it. why do you think that white people put blacks down. it was fear and they masked their fears by creating stereotypes which is what we do to gays. and btw you don’t have to have heart palpitations to be homophobic.

now i’m officially done with this ignorant nonsense. i’m too open-minded for this

I understand your frustration sis, but don’t take it out on me. I didn’t make you what you are and the way you are so get over yourself please. You homosexuals kill me with your “plight”, lol. This is the best that you’ve ever had it and ever will have it. Don’t you know that before slavery and even during slavery that ya’ll would get stoned to death or burned at the stake for being homosexual or lesbian by the slaves who respected their ancestral culture. You’re frustrated because this society is attempting to give validity to your confusion and everyone is not buying it. Move on. I face discrimination everyday and will until either I die or Christ comes back. Man up.

@122

You seem to be more obsessed with gaining caucasians’ acceptance which certainly links up to your “open-mindedness”, lol. Stop trying to force your cowardice and idolatry for caucasian culture on others.

Before you go thinking this subject is up for debate with me, forget about it. I said what I said and damn it I stand behind it 1000%. I refuse to get caught up with you in this senseless babble. Go debate with somebody who cares because you will never make me believe that gay rights are on the same level as civil rights. I guess you just can’t see it, but that’s not surprising to me because most gay people can never get past their own gay issues and take an honest look at much more important issues in the world. You think that the world must stop, drop and roll and get on board with your issues and take up your cause but it ain’t happening here.

No disrespect to you, I’m sure you’re a lovely person, but here’s a bit of advice for ya: You’re a human being, no one can deny you THAT right. Whether we all think it’s right or wrong, what you do in the privacy of your own home is your business and ultimately between you and God. So, live your life as a HUMAN being and stop labeling your own damn self. Try fighting for HUMAN rights, not just gay rights.

@ 105 Quiche-A, im wit u on that!!!!!

Quiche wrote below, i think this has to be said again. Well put Quiche!!!

“#12 Sloane said:

This shit irks the hell out of me!”

@judah- you’ve made it quite clear that you don’t understand ANYTHING, so don’t patronize me. i also want to inform you that i’m not frustrated about being gay, in fact i’m proud of it, i’m frustrated by the discrimination i face from idiots like you. i’m black and lesban, and you have absolutely NO IDEA what i go through and you no right to make light of my experiences. i mean who the fuck do you think you are? just where did you hear about gays getting burned at the stake or stoned by other blacks, in antiquity or slavery? what kind of fabricated history book did find that in? LOL, obviously it’s located in some dimension your diseased mind created. it’s apparent you don’t know much about history because have you ever heard female husbands and male daughters? these are gender idenities created by the ibo of nigeria, for people who didn’t fit the straight mold. they became obsolete with colonialism. homosexuality has been part and parcel of every civilazation and race from the beginning of time. it was when colonialism and christianity mutated people’s cultures that homosexuality became a sin. you talk about Truth worshipping caucausians, you idiot, you don’t even know that you’re espousing the same bullshit they used to destroy and subjugate africans and african-american slaves. YOU, OF ALL PEOPLE, ARE LOOKING AT HISTORY FROM THE PRISM OF EUROPEAN CHRISTIAN CULTURE and have THE BITCH NERVE to questionin other people’s blackness. i mean i thought thought you were an idiot before but i can see now that there is no reasoning with a feeble minded person such as yourself. and i just want to let you know, that eventually things will improve for gays, so this won’t be the best “we” have had it. get used to us.

um quiche i’m going to have to say that it was necessary to call you an idiot, because you don’t get the part where i said that i was black, too. and that i experience the SAME racism that you do. that the history of lynching, discrimination, and sitting on the back of the bus belong to and matter to me. so do gay history because i am gay as well. do you get it. and i’m not fishing for pity, i’m trying to appeal to people’s sense of compassion i.e. how would you feel if it was you. there is nothing more important to me than civil rights for all human beings, but obviously i’m going to speak about what personally effects me, like so eloquently did when said civil rights completely supercede gay rights. i was also trying to inform you that they are not mutually exclusive because hey, there are people like myself who are black and gay. if anybody has the right to compare the two, its me, because you have no idea what i experience as a gay person, and a white person would have no idea what i experience as a black person. i’m not expecting you or anybody else to go to the next gay pride parade but i would like people like yourself to think twice about what they say in reference to gay people, and where it is coming from. like your blanket and discriminatory comment about gays not being able to look past their own issues.

You damn right my mind is “diseased”. I’m CRAAAZY…DURRAANNGED, lmao. Sis, you’re right, I don’t know what you go through as a lesbian and I honestly don’t care to know. I can feel the pain and emotion in your response and once again, it doesn’t affect me in the least. That’s how I know that negroes like you that regurgitate the white man’s false version of history and yet speak “against” him concerning his “European Christian culture”, lol, really lean on him for sustenance and “enlightenment”. The “fabricated book” that I found that in is the Bible, lol (Lev 20:13). Let me guess….that’s the “white man’s book”, right ignorant negro. The white man lied to us but you believe the white man when he tells you that it’s ok to be a lesbian right.

First off, for every tribe in Africa there are different cultural practices, even within the tribes. “Female husbands and male daughters”, LMFAO. I’ll take your word for that one. That practice seems almost as confused and stupid as you. I’ve had conversations/debates with a Nigerian from the “Ibo” or Igbo tribe, since you brought it up, and he tried to prove to me that portions of their tribe kept rites and practices akin to the Israelites of the Bible. There are African tribes that eat their own feces, have sex with antelopes, don’t bathe, and scarify their faces. What is your point? Should we do that? So because I’m against homos and lesbians I’m not as “open-minded” as you? Lol, nigga please. Not to boast or brag but you could know the culture of every tribe in Africa and you still couldn’t fuck with me because I deal with the scriptures. Shit, you couldn’t fuck with me in just general history. Believe it or not, the black people brought over here on slave ships are not the descendants of indigenous Africans or as the Bible calls them, “hamites”.

See the white man knows that his rulership is winding down and that’s why he’s running all over the earth trying to cause confusion and death (homosexual movement, wars all over the world, etc.). You can feel that these are the last days because everything has an aura of redundancy and choreography. That’s why he’s trying to empower the homosexuals and lesbians because he knows that it will cause anarchy and more confusion. Ya’ll are pawns, simple as that. The same faggots and lesbians that “just want to be left alone” are the same ones that have no problem with the Muslims getting their culture and history systematically destroyed because their Islamic practices are against homosexuality and lesbianism.

Lastly sis, just the fact that you said “get used to us” shows that you and your ilk have a confrontational mentality, which is good because I love confrontation. You’re going to force your ways on certain people to the point where you’re going to have to be dealt with.

SLOANE,

I THINK THAT WHEN YOU TRY TO APPEAL TO PEOPLE’S COMPASSION, YOUR SETTING YOURSELF UP FOR FAILURE.

WHY?

BECAUSE PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY NEED ALL OF THAT “APPEALING”, PROBABLY DONT HAVE COMPASSION, SYMPATHY OR HEART ANYWAY.

WE HAVE A CONSCIENCE AND IF YOU ARE NOT GOVERENED BY YOUR CONSCIENCE, YOUR DEFINITELY NOT GOING TO BE GOVERENED BY SOMEONE ELSE’S.

PEOPLE SHOULD ALREADY KNOW TO TREAT ALL HUMAN BEINGS, GAY OR STRAIGHT, WHITE, BLACK, OR ASIAN WITH COMMON DECENCY, LOVE AND RESPECT.

IF THEY DONT KNOW THAT AND THEY ARE OVER 15, IT AINT REALLY TOO MUCH YOU CAN DO FOR THEM.

GOD HAS TO CHANGE THEM.

YOU WILL LIVE YOUR LIFE UNFILFILLED TRYING TO GET PEOPLE TO UNDERSTAND WHY THEY SHOULD ACCEPT YOU AND YOUR LIFESTYLE.

LEAVE JUDGEMENT AND ACCEPTANCE TO GOD-

NO MAN CAN EVER JUDGE YOU.

IF THEY DONT RESPECT YOU GAY, THEY PROBABLY WONT ACCEPT OR RESPECT YOU STRAIGHT.

THEY WOULD CHOSE ANOTHER REASON WHY YOU WERE A SINNER AND WAS GOING TO HELL.

I KNOW WHAT IT FEELS LIKE TO BE DISSED, DISREPSECTED, PRE JUDGED AND CONDEMNED.

DONT TAKE THE “WOE IS ME” ATTITUDE BC JESUS WAS DISSED AND KILLED AND ALL HE CAME TO DO WAS HELP OTHERS.

THIS IS AMERICA

IT HAPPENS

PEOPLE ARE PEOPLE- STOP TRYING TO CONVINCE OTHERS OF YOUR PLIGHT IN ATTEMPTS TO GET THEM TO ACCEPT YOU.

DONT HAVE THOSE INTENTIONS BC TRUE ACCEPTANCE IS AN IDEA THAT YOU CANNOT PROVE OR EXPRESS THROUGH WORDS ANYWAY.

SOME PEOPLE SAY THEY LOVE YOU AND LIKE YOU BUT THEY DONT.

I HAVE BASIC HUMAN COMPASSION, SO A PERSON’S SEXUAL ORIENTATION WOULD NOT PREVENT ME FROM EXTENDING LOVE, REPSECT AND ACCEPTANCE TO ANY PERSON.

MAKING A DEAL OVER YOUR SEXUAL ORIENTATION AND THEN TRYING TO GET PEOPLE TO ACCEPT YOU IS SENSELESS BC
IN THESE DAYS AND TIMES, VERY FEW ARE WORTHY OF JUDGING ANOTHER HUMAN.

ON TOP OF THAT, YOUR SEXUAL ORIENTATION IS YOUR CHOICE. YOU CAN JUST AS WELL CHOOSE, IF YOU PLEASED, TO BE STRAIGHT. NO BODY COULD STOP YOU AND WITH THAT BEING THE CASE, IT’S DEFINATLY A CHOICE.

YOU CAN BE BORN STRAIGHT BUT REMAIN RECLUSIVE AND AVOID ALL SEXUAL CONTACT.

THE TWO ARE NOT TO BE EQUATED.

AND YES, I LOVE ALL PEOPLE BUT…
DO I WANT MY CHILDREN READING BOOKS IN 1 ST GRADE ABOUT LESBIANS AND GAYS?

NO

BUT THEN AGAIN, I’M CHOSING TO HOMESCHOOL MY CHILDREN WHEN AND IF I HAVE THEM.

BUT THAT’S MY CHOICE AND THAT DOES NOT MEAN THAT I HATE HOMOSEXUALS BECAUSE I DONT, OR AT LEAST I WOULD LIKE TO BELIEVE THAT I HATE NO MAN.

YOU SOUND INTELLIGENT, SLOANE BUT YOU MIGHT WANNA RE EVALUATE WHY YOU SEEK OTHERS TO ACCEPT YOUR HOMOSEXUALITY.

TRUE ACCEPTANCE, LOVE AND RESPECT IS UNCONDITIONAL.

IF A PERSON CANT ACCEPT YOU OR RESPECT YOU GAY, LIKE I SAID, THEY WILL NOT IF YOUR STRAIGHT.

IW SHOULD HAVE KNOWN TO KEEP HIS MOUTH SHUT ABOUT GAYS OR ANYBODY FOR THAT MATTER.

NOW, HE GETS IT.

I’m laughing at some of the people here trying to once again hide their hatred with intelligence. To accept a person’s sexual preference doesn’t mean you have to practice or conform to their lifestyle, just as the definition of being a (straight) man/woman include hating things unexplainable by logistics, science or Religion.

Acceptance is often misrepresented as a means of demoralization or a “plot” against the fabric of humanity. If that doesn’t work, the next logical move is define it as means of social segregation, which oddly is the racists p.o.v.

A true man/woman wouldn’t feel the need to try to dehumanize another simply cause someone does something that out of their comfort zone, but take solace that what others think of them doesn’t define who they are or is a direct reflection of their image.

Bottom line is that LIFE itself is a mystery and the answers aren’t always written in text. Take your noses out of the books for a minute and BREATHE. Knowing is good, but too much of a good thing is sometimes detrimental when using it to define the unexplainable.

I’m surprised at how many people are comparing Michael Richards Situation to this one, how are they the same?

Michael Richards didn’t go to counselling cause there wasn’t a job for the dude to lose. How damn deluded y’all got to be to think he could have done that during the height of Seinfeld’s success and walk onto the set Monday morning without having to do some serious damage control.

Man if some of y’all were dumb enough to hit someone with a racial or anti-gay slur in your workplace wouldn’t you expect to be fired? Ain’t no different for these dudes except for the additional public outrage.

What cuts me about this, as a Dr Burke fan, is Washington is a straight up fool. Why would you say that at the Golden Globes, you didn’t think it might offend anyone especially in the Entertainment Industry and then you didn’t think at least one of your cast mates might call you out, when you lied claiming you didn’t say it?

Lets be real here, he isn’t in trouble cause he’s black (well I hope not). Dude’s in trouble cause he’s on one of the biggest shows in the US and still doesn’t know how to conduct himself in the public eye.

you know what louise? i feel like the only way to get people past their prejudices is to expose them to what they’re afraid of (and yes i’m referring to you judah, fake-ass intellectual bible-thumper.). most of the time of people realize there is a common link between themselves and the people they feel apprehension about, hopefully they can let go of their preconceived notions and hatred, and move on. by openly saying that i’m black and gay should at the very least make the people here aware that there isn’t a complete chasm between the two. they can exist in the same place. >>> me

i don’t care about anybody’s judgement, because nobody has the right to judge me. i’ll reiterate i don’t want anyone’s pity, and i don’t appreciate your implication that i am taking on a “woe as me” attitude. i want to inspire compassion, because people are capable of having it for anyone, i don’t care where you come from or what you think you know, unless you’re a sociopath. i’m not even looking for acceptance. i would like tolerance and basic respect of my choice to be who i am. i’d like any relationship i have to be fully recognized and protected under law, the same as any other tax-paying law-abiding citizen.

i’m am not seeking fulfillment from anybody else for anything, period. i am proud of who i am. the idea that i would be validated by strangers accepting me and my sexuality is ludicrous.so please scrap that idea. if people, like can’t at least glean a modicum of understanding from anything i’ve said that’s their problem not mine. because bottom line, i’ve expressed my opinion and my unique viewpoint, and that is satisfying enough. btw, you are free to feel however you want about homosexuals, but understand this, being gay is not a choice. the real choice is between being true to yourself or pretending to be something you are not. to continue insisting that it’s purely a choice in this day and age is just ignorant.

I don’t think there’s anyone on here who hasn’t called someone out of their name but the difference is that he’s in a business where if you even sneeze wrong someone’s going to have something to say. We don’t have to worry about reporters waiting outside our houses or going through our trash cans to see what they can find. We’re not in the public eye so when we do something like that it’s not going to be posted in every newspaper, on every news station and all over the internet. Dang they don’t go this far when someone says the “N” word

154.

Marcusito-Da Famous Blogger

Friday, January 26, 2007 /

I’m sorry but the “F Word” does not carry the discriminatory history of any racial slur against African-Americans. The “N Word” alone could be argued as the basic explanation of slavery, racism, discrimination, and injustice against African-Americans.

I believe slurs against gays are hurtful, yes, but it’s does not carry the same weight. Sexuality can be easily concealed while your racial attributes are quite a bit more difficult to hide.

I do feel bad for Isaiah. I think the folks at “Grey’s Anatomy” are playing him to get more press for the show. Isaiah could have handled this whole situation a lot better but the same could be said for the “powers that be” on the show and the network as well.

I can’t help but think that if Isaiah was a blond-haired, blue-eyed “Adonis”; then this situation would not be as controversial. Opportunities for his career are closing because he said “faggot” against a straight man with whom he was arguing. Eminem says “Hate Fags, the answer’s yes!” and I wonder how many doors were closed for him after that? Maybe a top selling sophomore album???!!!

I believe that black people are being unfairly labeled as homophobic by gay white people. I don’t think we are exactly comfortable with open gay sexuality, we just believe in discretion. I know for a fact that racism exists in the gay community and I think some gay whites are trying to use an “expected homophobia” as an excuse to be racist against black people. Therefore, a prejudice is being freely exercised and it’s doing nothing for the progress of neither party.

Back to the whole incident, I know if I pissed somebody off enough, the “N word” would probably come out of his or her mouth no matter what the intention is. I could probably expect the word Faggot as well, no matter what my sexuality is. When people fight, hurtful words are exchanged. Period.

What makes more sense to me is that Isaiah was not too friendly with his cast from day one. Maybe that is how he prefers to do his work. I don’t make it my priority to make sure that all of my co-workers like me, and I know when any friction came up, I was unfairly blamed. Sometimes, when you are the one of the few black persons in the room; non-blacks want you to entertain them to put their racial angst at ease. Just be the “sassy sista” or the “crazy black guy” and everything will be fine.

Some of our greatest artists were not the friendliest people in the world. So an argument happens and now the whole world is supposed to end?

Isaiah firing his publicist and going into counseling shows that he knows his career is in trouble and desperately wants to save it.

Isaiah deserves a “PR slap on the wrist” but he should NOT lose his job. Let the man go on his “apology tour” coming to a city near you so that we all can move on.

Yeah i’m trippin at all that cussin intermingled with verse from the Bible too… wow.

Umm this Washington guy acts like a “jerk” on the show and seems to be one offscreen as well… screw him and the horse he rode in on…

As for people being gay, its the new “in” thing to do…if you folks would shut up about it and stop giving it so much attention they will see how stupid it looks to go around presenting their sexual orientation to everyone (as if anyone cares) and let it go…

When will we ever get back to being moral and actually begin caring about the images we project again?
Teen pregnancy is not cute. Not being mature enough to provide proper guidance because nobody has guided you properly and honestly because you are too young to handle the responsibility responsibly is SAD not cute.
The gay fad isnt cute. Swinging aint cute, bisexuality aint cute it all screams CONFUSION to me.
People not taking pride in their communities isnt cute. We get upset when people move out behind us moving in and swear that they’re wrong…they arent. I would move out too if you moved in with disruptive children, loud music, too much traffic, trash in the yard, not keeping your landscape up, etc. Disrespectful children arent cute. I dont care who they belong to if they disrespect me Im spanking! And if they think that they are to old to be spanked, and want to be grown then I am not beyond fighting a kid like his/her ass is grown. And if my kids disrespect you then you had better BEAT THAT ASS TOO.
Men not working, not taking care of their children and not marrying the women they knock up isnt cute. Our men think that dropping seeds all over is manly but to me it makes men look terribly gay when they would rather spend more time running around with their boys than settle down and marry a woman. Men need to stop being scared of the responsibilities associated with marriage and help strenthen our race and culture.
And all of these things are interrelated whether we would like to believe it or not.
Agree or disagree thats how I see it all.

@134 Louise

Sis, I like your comments but you’re attempting to mix your personal philosophy in with the Lord’s Word. You’re trying to make Sloane feel comfortable living her lifestyle when she is not comfortable accepting other people’s views. The Most High said to hate the evil and love the good. Hate is a part of life. Anyone who says that they have no hate is a liar and the truth is not in them. It’s not an emotional hate, it’s just hate in propriety with the understanding that the evil will spread if you just sit back and let it. Sis, don’t come with that only God can judge nonsense either because that’s not scriptural. The white man (mis)judges blacks, hispanics, and the entire world for that matter and no one bats an eyelash.

@135

Brother please, you gave a link to some white people co-signing Michael Richards’s rant and then you bitched up and said that black people have to stop being racist, lol. You’re emblematic of all these weak black men that can’t analyze anything worth a damn and don’t have anything to offer their community. If you don’t know the Bible then be quiet about it.

@140

That was good, very informative, lol. You should write a book because your philosophy could cure the world. I think that all you utopians need a place that you can go and exchange “ideas” and philosophy while real life goes on. You all will probably start killing each other within the first month.

@149, 150

You mean I was so funny that you were laughing your ass off for the 20 minutes between the 2 weak posts you made, lol. I must be entertaining, or irrefutable, one or the other. I love how you homosexual wannabe intellectuals try to worm your way out of a lightweight debate that you know you’ll lose by trying to invalidate the Bible. So typical. No response on the “Igbo”, lol?

Bring what on sis? You’re not gonna fight me, you’re trying to fight against Christ and the Most High. You have alot of unfocused anger in you and you need to come to terms with that. Do you see how asinine you look challenging someone over the internet to “come find you”, lmao. I can’t believe that you’re so enlightened but I pulled your card like that. You speak on open-mindedness and ignorance but all you’ve done is name-call and threaten people that disagree with you, lol. You’re not one of those lesbian chics that hate black men are you? What were you planning to do, pelt me with your D batteries? You and the dyke squad were gonna pistol-whip me with your dildos? I love the homosexual movement because it’s a sign that Christ is on his way back. I honestly could care less who you’re licking or who’s licking you but you seem to want to force your way in. I don’t think that you understand the ramifications of your mentality. The white man has put such a battery in your back (pun intended) that you think that you can’t be stopped, lol. Sis, I don’t hide anywhere because there’s nothing to hide from. You’re really taking that “homophobic” phrase seriously huh? You people really think that regular people “fear” you, lol. Damn degenerate.

how dare ppl try and compare being black to being gay. that is a disgrace and shows how stupid ppl are becoming. you are born your colour and anyone who does bad to based on your colour is wrong. but if your told being gay is wrong accept it because its true. there is no such thing as discrimination to something that is plain wrong. its like someone saying “you killer” and saying that they are discriminating against murderers. its stupid because being a murderer is plain wrong same as being gay, a thief, being an adulterer, being a liar etc.

its a shame that society are getting brainwashed into thinkoing its ok to be gay. its nasty and nothing thats right NOTHING can prove its natural.

1. what isaih said was wrong.
2. it was ignorance, but it wasn’t hate speech. people use that word all the time. yes, it’s insensitive and mean and ignorant, but it isn’t necessarily hate speech.
3. you don’t need therapy for being an @ss hole. therapy can fix a lot of things, but that’s not one of them.

JUDAH, I feel sorry for the day you cross over from the living only to see the shit you preach was dead wrong.
By then it’ll be too late and you will beg your maker for mercy from all the evil ways you’ve preached.
You are no different from Jim Jones or David Koresh- a poor but evil misguided soul, attempting to draw in more like you.
You are no different from Samuel Jackson’s character on pulp fiction either- obsessive bible quoting/assasin/filthy mouth black man.
C’mon man, please tell us the bible ain’t the only book your sick ass reads.

You claim I have a utopian mentality while yours is one of a realist? A realist would understand that gays have existed before Christ hence their mention in the Bible, which means Sloane is correct that while man walks the Earth, they (gays) are here to stay! That dosen’t mean that everyone should go out and try it, but it’s the truth. So perhaps your perception is the one that is more utopian rather than realistic.

I hope and pray that upon Christ’s return, you’d have thrown out enough stones from your bags to make him choose you over Sloane to ride to heaven with him. If not you’ll be one pissed off individual, lol.

Funny thing is I’m watching Wife Swap while typing this, and somehow I’m depicting you as the husband in this episode….

#169 WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT! IF YOUR GONNA USE THE BIBLE TO PROVE A POINT USE IT CORRECTLY. THE BIBLE SAYS PLAIN AND SIMPLY THAT “BEING GAY IS AN ABOMINATION TO GOD.” AND WHEN JESUS COMES THEM GAYS ARE GONNA GET PUNISHED AS WILL ALL SINNERS. YOU NEED TO GO TO A REAL CHURCH WHERE THEY PREACH THE WORD AND TELL YOU THE REAL TRUTH. YOU HAVE BEEN DECIEVED.

I don’t hate gays or lesbians, but the fact of the matter is that lifestyle is a CHOICE, not really supported by any religion that I know of, a bad sign for this behavior. But this behavior unfortunately will become more mainstream as people look for more ways to screw-up.

Chantelle, my dear…SLOW DOWN. I know what the Bible says about homosexuality, and my church is the real deal. Thanks for the concern. My conversation wasn’t about what is/isn’t sin. I was pointing out that homo’s have neen around since the Bible was written (otherwise they wouldn’t have been mentioned, right?) and they are STILL here, and will continue to be here until man’s last days on Earth. What about that was to complicated for you to comprehend?

“AND WHEN JESUS COMES THEM GAYS ARE GONNA GET PUNISHED AS WILL ALL SINNERS.”

My point exactly. It’s so easy to cast judgement on another person you don’t know because he/she identifies with being gay on the internet. By doing so , YOU ARE SINNING, and the Bible states that no sin is greater than the next, so I was trying to get people to see that while they are condeming this individual to the firey pits of hell, they are standing in the same line and awaiting their turn, so what’s the point???

Let’s sum it up and get in with our lives:

T.R or whatever his name is, is gay. Big deal.
Isaiah acts like an ass, who dosen’t? Eminem has said it before, and besides the GLAAD people, didn’t make a big deal out of it, and he didn’t go to conseling. But why make a big deal out of this? He said it, he said he’s sorry, and he’s getting help. Let’s move on.

There! This whole situation is dead and buried.

Not a problem. The only reason I get upset when hearing people discuss gay people isn’t because I disagree with reference to them in the Bible, but more so the hatred that comes out of (Christian) peoples mouths to prove a point. It’s obvious that straight people don’t understand their lifestyle but there isn’t a need to come off so bigoted and insulting while at the same time portraying yourself to be morally superior…that’s being hypocritical. Then you have people portraying them as a menace to society and hateful when things don’t go their way, but the funny thing is any demographic will do the same if their issues aren’t heard or seen as valid, so which is worse? The arguments don’t make sense, and really it isn’t our place to speculate what happens to anyone.
