Adele's "21" is No. 1 on the U.S. album chart for a 17th week, Billboard.com reported Wednesday. The CD has had the longest reign at the top of the Billboard 200 since "The Bodyguard" soundtrack was No. 1 for 20 weeks in 1993. Coming in at No. 2 on this ...
Shakeup in Top 10, but Adele Still No. 1
Her juggernaut album “21” remained at No. 1, selling 116,000 copies. But Drake’s “Take Care” (No. 9) and the most recent installment of the Kidz Bop franchise (No. 6) were the only other holdovers in the Top 10 from last week.

my 4 year old daughter would love that…..

  2. They have just OUTCOONED the COON movement with this one. Once WHITE AMERICA gets a hold of something negrodian it loses its IT factor…IE Chicken Noodle Soup.

  3. Stacy

At least there are no bad words in the song.

  4. BrittSo0Real

lmfaooooo you see that little white girl poppin at least they can dance LMFAOOOOOO HILARIOUS chicken noodle soup kids bop cracks me the hell up

  5. Nikki

  6. Stacy

  7. BrittSo0Real

KIDS BOP DOES EVERY SONG THATS HOT AND CATCHY OUT THERE I WONDER IF THEY DID CIARA PROMISE YET LMAOOO

  8. WORDUP!

OMG KIDS ARE DANCING AND HAVING FUN!!! OH NO!

I fail to see the cooning in cute little kids dancing to a song about soup.

Maybe Kidz Bop should do some Jeezy or something.

  9. The coonage is in the dance itself. Even though the Chicken Noodle Soup was the IT groove of the latter part of 2006, nothing can take away from the way in which it resembles minstrel dancing IE. Massa Swooping and Watermelon/Fried Chicken dipping!

  10. Dave

My God. Dont white people get it? Once they start doing something that was once seen as “cool” or “in style” it quickly loses its value. Someone needs to tell our pigmentally challenged counterparts that they are the kryptonite to all that is “cool” in the world. Over pronouncin asses.

  11. Stacy

Okay I looked at Amazon they have done a lot of other songs

    DC-Survivor
    Ciara-1 2 step
    Beyonce-Crazy in Love, Me Myself & I
    Alicia-You Don’t know my name , Fallin, If I ain’t got you
    Usher-My Boo
    Christina-Beautiful
    Kelly Clarkson-Miss Independent
    Nsync
a bunch of Rock Groups and others as well.

  12. Tammy

@Dave, you literally have me in tears!…I don’t like you, you made me leak! jk papi…

  13. LilMamaKatz

    lmao.
cute kids havin fun dancin 2 a soup song.
    i dunno….

  14. WORDUP!

@ 10 IMO, things aren’t always that deep.

I think that the kids who made up the song and dance are too young to recall minstrel shows. And surely they didn’t see a recording of one and say to themselves, “Hey y’all, lets make up a dance and exploit ourselves!”

So to me, if it does resemble that type of dance, it wasn’t intentional. They didn’t grow up back then. Young B and Webstar are just some teens from the block who made a track with a little dance that blew up because dance songs are hot right now.

But maybe I’m naive, I don’t know. I respect your opinion, though.

  15. Let Emm do the chicken noodle soup Dammit…..

  16. A Dot is pissing on the world in '07

they are kids, they get a pass!

  17. They STILL effect “minstrelism”, intentionally or unintentionally.

Thats the problem with the African race, and the reason as to why we can make any real movement towards advancement. We always want to give someone a pass. Now im not saying BOYCOTT the KIDZ BOPPATION..i mean they are LITTLE KIDS, granted, but i still stand firm my original views.

  18. Stacy

Blame it on the people who made the record, cuz they would have to get permission from them to do the song in the first place.

  20. WORDUP!

So these dance movements are going to represent mistrel type dancing forever and ever amen? Times are never going to change? They can’t represent something else? Minstrel shows copywrote them?

I just don’t get it. I don’t think Chicken Noodle Soup is preventing our cultural advancement in any relevant way, or in any way what-so-ever. I think you’re giving this song and dance too much credit.

  21. Justin

this is wrong on so-so many levels like..omg

  22. I'm already a star. I got 9 Grammys.

What is KidBopz? I mean who are they? Never heard of them.

  23. Wandsworth

    LMAO @ 10

    Dave Writes…..

  24. Number 21, Wordup!, re-read my statement. Your spiel is based on contrivity, and you sound DUMB! Any intellectual would agree with me. The Chicken Noodle Soup is neo-minstrel, period. If you look back at black face parodies you would see that. The whole leg kicking side to side, arms flailing in the wind, EWW, so negrodian.

And i didnt say that the dance was a rut in black advancement, i said that the way in which Blacks give people passes contributes to our step backs in advancement.

Like i said, RE READ my statements, they are very understandable.

  25. DAMNIT GINA...

What the hell is the problem. Kidz Bop always comes out with these albums for kids. They use white people songs and black people songs. If they just used white people songs you’d have something to say about that. WTF it’s not that serious. I’m glad they got this song on there cause that’s my daughter’s song.

  26. I'm already a star. I got 9 Grammys.

Sorry. 30secs into it, i couldnt take it anymore. Now little Allie, Heather, Jen and Meagan in the suburbs can all get some coolness. And even Mommy and Daddy will help along.

  27. WORDUP!

I know this dance has been talked about since it came out, but my little official stance is this: Y’all we safely made it through the Running Man, the Wop, the Butterfly, the Tootsie Roll, the Cabbage Patch, the Bankhead, and we even stepped in the name of love. Chicken Noodle Soup hasn’t been any different. In a year all we’ll have left is memories of the dance, and the majority of us won’t even recall how to do it.

    It is gone be okay.

And okay, I just refreshed the page and saw your response. If you want to be rude and throw stones, I’m done with you. I thought that I was having an adult conversation with you by letting you know that I listened to and respected your opinion.

  28. WORDUP!

And obviously my response before last wasn’t meant to be taken as seriously as you took it, hence the remarks “forever and ever, amen” and “minstrels shows copywrote them”.

I’ma need you to pick up a sense of humor on your way home from church today.

  29. Granted, but it is kind of hard to decipher jest and sarcasm from ignorance on an internet blog.

  30. Brownskincutie

I didn’t like the song before these kids got to it but, if you notice every song they have these kids re due comes out shitty and funny as hell! The black kids look equally dunb as the white ones LMAO But, on a serious note at least the kids are doing something postive….

  31. a-nat

ok so lets move past the dance itself…my biggest issue is the fact that Kidz Bop feels it’s necessary for our young kids to memorize and triviliaze some of the raunchiest and violent lyrics to mainstream hip hop and r&b songs. i remember the very first time i saw a commercial for them and they had the kids singing Nelly’s Country Grammar…now we KNOW that ain’t a song kids should be singing, but there they were just dancin and jumpin around singing along.

see we buy this crap for our kids and wonder why they don’t get good grades in school and why they get pregnant at 12 and have had more sex at age 16 then most adults have had in a lifetime. what’s the point of opening them up to the real world of an adult at the age of 10??? i mean seriously!!! i used to get pissed when my little cousin would be singing the last r kelly song when she was like 7 or 8 and now she’s out having sex at 15/16 years old. this is rediculous.

  32. unknowndiva

    white people….

  33. I really never liked this dance to begin with then here Kidz bop goes and fuck it up even more.Them kidz look off beat and stupid as hell they are trying to make a mockery of the dance. I know they are only children but damn alot of them look just plain dumb. My daughter loves that dance alot too but she does it well.I am just smh at the kidz bop version of the dance.

  34. Tyrese punches babies

    LMAO @ #3

  35. The Mrs...

I do not see the problem with the children doing it. I find a problem with the grown folks who are singing about chicken noodle soup and doing an Indian rain dance to it. Let the kids have it! Hopefully this will encourage the adults to do grown folks music. You won’t see them singing “Get this money” by Jamie Foxx on Kids bop.

  36. LOL @ some of these comments.. unfortunately I dont have any… this was just too funny. Now I don’t feel so bad cuz I look a fool doing that dance.

  37. BROOKLYN

    1.Them kids cannot dance
2.Them kids is singing and dancin off beat
3.Them kids cannot sing worth Shit
4.The all look a hot ass mess

  38. CutieinCO

You know what? This was the cutest thing I have seen to come out of this crazy song! My eight year old would love this.

And while you are blowing this all way the hell out of proportion, this is why white people continue to make money and are shrewd busienssmen. Because they find a way to make more money than just the obvious way, and continie to re-invent things all the time. And most times a lot of us just sit back and complain……..

  39. chloe

Damn, the kiddies are cuties yall. Now I could understand if it were Fergie or Gwen Stephane or somone like that – but this song/dance is really cute for the kids.

  40. Kenisha

Okay, now that was so gay.. They were like “Chicken- Noodle-Soup!! Now watch someone actually start using this song in the chicken noodle soup commercials.

  41. LMMFAO @ DAVE!!!!!!!!!!

OMG, THIS IS TOO HILARIOUS!!! LMMFAO @ THE WAY THEY SAY “LETS GET IT”, LMMFAO @ THE WAY THEY RAPPING THE FIRST VERSE & LMMFAO @ THE BOOTLEG BEAT…THEY REALLY TRIED TO IMITATE IT TO THE T. IT DIDNT WORK PEOPLE!!! WE CAN TELL THE DIFFERENCE LOL WHY DIDNT THEY JUST USE THE INSTRUMENTAL OF THE REAL BEAT? IT WOULDVE BEEN SO MUCH BETTER, OR ATLEAST IT WOULDVE TAKEN AWAY FROM THE “RETARDED-NESS” OF THE WHOLE THING. THEM KIDS ARE A TRIP. I FEEL BAD FOR THE KIDS WHO WATCH THIS…CUZ THEY’LL BE MAKING A FOOL OF THEMSELVES WHEN THEY TRY TO IMITATE THESE KIDS LOL AINT NOTHING WRONG WITH THEM HAVING FUN…BUT IT IS JUST TOO FUNNY TO NOT MAKE FUN OF!!!

  42. alyssa

WAT CAN I SAY CAN A GET A HOT ASS MESS/???LMAO THIS SO STUPID I HAVE NO WORDS DEN THEY WASNT DOING DA DANCE RIGHT

  43. soulstar

I think this is so cute. I wonder if they understood the lyrics, because they are talking about having sex.

That said, did y’all notice how they had the little black boy sambo-ing it out. Lil’ dude looked like he was soft-shoeing.

  44. @$hl3y

Wow….I didnt think that song could get any worse. Them kids gone look back on this sh*t when they get older like what the hell was i thinkin

  45. ddub

aside from supposed minstrel show dancing, let’s not forget that this video is just horrible. Yes, I understand that they are kids. Yes, I understand that they are diluting the song for mass appeal by singing it like they are saying their ABCs and smiling. However, balloons? blowing bubbles at the end? what the hell? Not to mention, hit or not, this song wasn’t that great to begin with. Next, please.

  46. missnaija

@ NEWAGEPREP– don’t bust your brain trying to generate an intellectual debate over this!! I’m sorry but after reading ur commemts the only thing I’ve been able to conclude about this issue is that you are one annoying person. Relax a bit– enjoy life!!
    *MUAH*

  47. Sweetneesee

I don’t see whats the big deal, I thought this song was for little kids anyways. But Kidz Bops always remake songs for the kids to listen to. I just thought they would change some of the lyrics. Come on ‘Me, Myself, and I’ talking about his 3 kids in her home. They shouldn’t be singing about that

  48. Out of all the dance songs they could have rerecorded why in the h*ll would they do chicken noodle soup.I could have settle for Cassie’s Me & You.

  49. NEXT THING YOU KNOW KIDZ BOP IS GONNA HAVE THESE KIDS SINGING “WE FLY HIGH(BAAAAAAAAALLIN).” THAT SHIT WILL BE FUNNY!

THIS WAS A HOT ASS MESS BUT SOME PEOPLE TAKING IT WAY TOO SERIOUSLY.

  50. Yeah people are taking it to serious. It only for the fun of children.

  52. Junior in Jamaica

    That was hilarious.

  53. James

I am not sure if it is on youtube, but even Kelley Ripa was doing the Chicken Noodle Soup with Bow Wow and Chris Breezy.

  54. BJ

    HELLO NEWAGEDPREP

TAKE A CHILL PILL. MINSTRAL SHOWS WERE DESIGNED BY WHITE FOLKS TO BE PERFORMED BY BLACK FOLKS FOR WHITE FOLKS AMUSEMENT. CHICKEN NOODLE SOUP IS A SONG AND DANCE THAT SOME TEENAGERS FROM HARLEM CREATED FOR THEIR PEERS. IF YOU ARE GOING TO COMPARE THAT DANCE TO A MINSTRAL SHOW, WHAT IS DUTTY WHINE, OR ANY OTHER POPULAR DANCE THAT YOUNG PEOPLE DO WITH THEIR ARMS AND LEGS. AND OVER INTELLECTUALIZING DOES NOT COMPENSATE FOR BEING RUDE.
