Michael Jordan and his wife, Juanita, divorced Friday after 17 years of marriage.
“Michael and Juanita Jordan mutually and amicably decided to end their 17-year marriage,” the couple said in a statement issued through their lawyers. “A judgment for dissolution of their marriage was entered today. There will be no further statements.”
Michael Jordan’s lawyer, Frederick J. Sperling, declined comment.
But in court documents filed Friday with the Lake County Circuit Court, the couple said “irreconcilable differences have caused an irretrievable breakdown of the marriage.” The couple said attempts to reconcile their marriage had failed and future ones “would be impractical and not in the best interests of the family.”
Juanita Jordan previously filed for divorce in January 2002, but withdrew her petition a month later when the couple announced they were attempting a reconciliation.
The couple met at a Chicago restaurant during his second season with the Bulls and were married Sept. 2, 1989, in Las Vegas. They have three children: Jeffrey, 18, Marcus, 16, and Jasmine, 14.
Michael Jordan, 43, lives in Chicago; Juanita Jordan, 47, lives in Highland Park, Ill.
The Jordans, who have lived separately since February, will share custody of their children, according to court documents. SOURCE

The reason most light skin women make in the industry is to satisfy the self loathing of african americans not to appease the taste of white americans. Whites to this day find Grace Jones gorgeous and most of the negative comments about her appearance come from black people.
I use to work for a black hip hop mag that scouted for models and time after time the black dudes always brought in sometimes attractive some not so cute but always bright lookikng sistahs and the white cats always brought in strikingly attractive chocolate or really ebony colored women and the brothers would be pissed on alot of fronts. Some even told the white guys to stopping bring in such ugly women. The white boy quit on the spot. He couldn’t believe what he was heaing. That’s when I stopped fronting and covering up the fact the black men are self loathing and incurrable colored struck.
This is what we are saying about Michael Jordan. His self loathing is EXPOSED.

4. Yes, ALL MEN are attracted to attractive (or, distinct, e.g. Grace Jones) looking women. But, I am sorry, if most white men were attracted to black women, there would be a WHOLE lot more black women in the main stream.
5. Black looking women are featured by, and sold to, black men, because black men are attracted to black women with black features and physiques. My white buddies usually laugh their heads off when they see the black female bodies and shapes we black boys are attracted to in King and BlackMen Magazines (black female images). Whereas, black boys won’t spend $1 for FHM Magazine (white femal images).

You’re a bit confused, aren’t you? Don’t you realize that collectively the WORLD doesn’t appreciate a true black woman’s beauty, not even our own men? So why, WHY would HUGH and these media outlets be stupid enough and take the risk of putting us out there? They know that even we are trying to emulate their looks with the blond weaves, blue contacts and skin lightening.
You’ve got people in India spittin on darker indians and promoting more western looking actresses in bollywood, you’ve got the chinese women walkin around covering up with umbrellas, trying not to tan and using bleaching creams (yes, they use these products), and you got africans melting their skin away with bleaching products too.

First I have never dated a white man because I had drunk the Kool-Aid if you will on how great black men are blah blah blah, however I could see ever since I was a child that black men didn’t/don’ t hold All Black women in the same esteem.
Let me break down the significance of MJ/Taye/Wesley and PE(public enemy) FOI and all the Black men who “dared” to don bald heads or dreads and quote fanon back in the late 80′s early 90′s it was a sign of Black Power and unflinching undiluted, if you will, Blackness and Black women dranked it up and celebrated it. In almost every movie and or song (still to day) you can hear how light-skin men are a thing of the past. There were even AIDs prevention commercial with young girls professing their love for sexy dark-skin balded bruh. It looked like a new day for African Americans. But little did we know that MJ/TaytheGay/Weasle et al (most AA) didn’t feel love to address their own self loathing issues but just ride the wave for their own personal good (ie sex with nonblack women)
And sisters were responsible for keeping them in the media light. (i know that this statement is over simplify but that’s why Tay the Gay is ranting cause he knows sistahs made it career and now they are killing it) Same thing Happen to Lionel Richie he ain’t never been back after he got his azz beat by Brenda for f that white gurl. And the reason why we take it so hard is because we believed in Black men who apparently don’ t believe in themselves or Black women. That’s why they are so quick to negate us.

It is apparent that some you don’t know how the idustry work. ‘Cause again the lack of Black women is a two-fold process.
One. Hollywood is responding to the self-loathing of African Americans
Two. This mixed Brother broke it down. (He lamentes since the urban black male is the new thing been going strong for the last 15yrs light-skin bruhs can barely get any work in film or print as representatives for today’s Black man) You see there’s a dirth of Wentworthesque racial ambigous black men playing the part of Black males in the media. However the same is not true for Black women you can have a very racial ambigous looking female playing a “full-blooded” Black woman.
Why the loopsidedness? Again the self loathing of AA who don’t DEMAND a wider range of representation and you have to know who is in charge of casting/promoting. That falls in the domain of white women. So they push what they want to see or reflects their reality. and most are linked to very identifiable Black men and they tend to place they children in particular their daugthers or the daughters of their family/friends the ads/media. So it’s not the whims of white men but the controlling factor and competitive nature white women that keep identifiablely looking Black women to a few in the movie/print industry. Get a casting call rag and see what type of Black woman the script is calling for and the person who will have the final say. (for bit parts it is usually the call of the casting director)
