About ten yrs ago Natalie did a remake of ‘Unforgettable’ which was one of her father’s original songs. She even did a video with herself and some old video footage of her father singing the song. It was beautiful. And I believe she won a grammy for that.

One of my favorite Christmas songs is a song by Nat King Cole, “The little boy that Santa Claus forgot”. I don’t know when he died. It was a long time ago.

Natalie is also someone who made a MAJOR comeback. She was once addicted to…I think Heroin. There was even a television special about her life and struggles and her comeback.

The Nas and Jay-Z Reunion is one of the most memorable moments in Hip Hop. Since Nas dropped is LP, its been in HEAVY ROTATION in my CD player at home, in the car. Where ever I go, that CD comes with me. It’s on continuous play from beginning to end. Nas has been ONE of my favorite LYRIST’s since ILLMATIC. He’s simply a lyrical genius. I read any interview I can with him. If he’s featured in a magazine, best believe that I’ve got it. Call me obsessed if you’d like. I simply have a deep love for Hip Hop and for those that know how to spit hot 16’s on a tight beat. Now in terms of Hip Hop being dead, a BIG part of it is: The meaning. It’s pretty obvious that we know you’ll be caking, so “rapper” need to enligtened us on other aspects other than cars, houses, jewellery bla bla bla.

Anyhow, I can go on and on. But my time at work is coming to an end and as always I’m planning to dip right at 6. So, I’ll end it here for now.

I just listened to Christee Michele’s CD I Am. I had never hear of her before. A friend loaned me the CD to listen to and I was absolutely BLOWM AWAY! She is incredible. YOU GO GIRL! She’ll be around for a LONG time and I’m looking forward to it.
