The 2007 Trumpet Awards took place on Monday night in Las Vegas. But, who cares about the show…
Perhaps the most interesting sight of the night was Usher with his longtime rumored boo - stylist Tameka Foster. These two have quite a gossip history together - from her cheating on her husband with him to Momma Raymond not approving the relationship.
So seeing them together pretty much confrms all that as true…

Isaiah Washington, who does the healing as a doctor on “Grey’s Anatomy,” is the patient now. He’s in therapy for his use of an anti-gay slur against a castmate.
“With the support of my family and friends, I have begun counseling. I regard this as a necessary step toward understanding why I did what I did and making sure it never happens again,” Washington said in a statement Wednesday. “I appreciate the fact that I have been given this opportunity and I remain committed to transforming my negative actions into positive results, personally and professionally.”
Washington took a break from filming Tuesday to meet with gay rights activists and offer help in educating the public about the cruelty of such words, an offer the activists called sincere. Whether Washington was receiving outpatient counseling or had entered a facility was not specified, and the statement did not indicate whether he would miss work on the show…
Series creator and executive producer Shonda Rhimes issued her own statement, at once criticizing Washington for his use of the word “faggot” about co-star T.R. Knight and lauding Washington’s decision to seek help.
“I speak for all the executive producers here at ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ when I say that Isaiah Washington’s use of such a disturbing word was a shocking and dismaying event that insulted not only gays and lesbians everywhere, but anyone who has ever struggled for respect in a world that is not always accepting of difference,” Rhimes said. Ok so as we all know by now (or should at least, heard about), Oscar nominations were announced early yesterday morning and the musical ‘Dreamgirls’ led the count with a whopping EIGHT nods - three of which are in the category for best original song. Golden Globe winners, Jennifer Hudson and Eddie Murphy both are nominated for their supporting roles in the film.
Meanwhile, Will Smith and another Globe winner - Forest Whitaker both have nominations in best male lead performances, while Djimon Hounsou (you may know him fom ‘Amistad’) competes in the supporting male category with Eddie for his performance in the film “Blood Diamond”.
Many people were surprised to see that ‘Dreamgirls’ was not nominated for Best motion picture of the year, but with eight nominations - I can say they’re doing pretty good.
Congrats to all the nominees, and be sure to catch the 79th Annual Academy Awards when it airs live on Sunday, February 25th. How do you guys feel about the nominations, and who are you rooting for?

Since so many people seemed to be feeling Teedra and what she’s doing, I decided I’d post this up (since someone e-mailed it to me). I’ve had this acoustic set that Teedra did for a while now, but since you guys here on CL seem to like her so much, I’m sharing it with you. I enjoy these few tracks because it really shows off Teedra’s voice. To me, Teedra is just a really impressive artist. Her writing, voice, and sincerity. Her debut album, “Complex Simplicity,” which was released in August 2004, was a masterfully put together album. These 3 songs come from that album. Enjoy.
Teedra Moses - You’ll Never Find (A Better Woman) - acoustic / studio (full)
Teedra Moses - No More Tears - acoustic / studio (full)
Teedra Moses - Be Your Girl - acoustic / studio (full)
Make sure you guys check Teedra out on MySpace and tell her CL sent you!
