I hoped the rumor was a lie but now since they cleared it up I now know it probably had some truth behind it. She could have called his mama for a mediator not the po-po. I think the lady fears him and has low self-esteem. Like someone else said you don’t call 911 to get a mediator. Sad predicament! I’ve worked in centers helping some of these women, I’ve seen it in my family, a lot of them are threatened to be killed or to have their families killed or their children kidnapped and remain silent out of fear. Some of them try to save face cause they’re too ashamed. Some feel responsible and believe they deserve to be treated that way because of low self-esteem and mental abuse. I hope she sees the light before it’s too late, nobody deserves this.

There are women out there that use the police as their personal bully. When they have an argument and are mad and emotional they will call them to “teach you a lesson” or “I will show him”. When they come they have to say something happened or risk a false report and on the other hand some women don’t have a problem to lie about a man hitting them. When things calm down they then regret their actions. Well some of them. I know some women will get mad and they are the one that would not dream of doing this to their man. Then there are the ones that know what I am talking about.

The job of a 911 operator is not to mediate. But people call 911 operators when there are life threatening situations. When the police arrive, they look for obvious signs of abuse or injury! No injury, no violence! They can ask one party to leave the house for the night, but the police have a guideline that they follow which is…who’s injured? If the man is stabbed, the woman will go to jail! Why didn’t Ty come forth in the beginning? I do have a hard time believing that any SANE man would hit a pregnant woman’s abdomen. To my knowledge Ty has never done anything bizzare. If it was Mike Ty then I would believe it lol.

Another thing, How is it his girlfriend had NO pain at the hospital? Why would she even let the ambulance take her to the hospital? She KNOWS that was morning sickness period. The only time “police officers” follow their own rules is when they don’t want extra paperwork, specifically when dealing with black men. There have been many cases of black men being killed due to domestic disputes, not just with women, but with their own family members. A Haitian brother was just killed 2 days ago over a situation like that in which he did not take his meds. It’s a dicey topic because the brother may have been out of control, but with the police involved, you never know how things could’ve been handled as opposed to how they were handled.

No disrespect sis, but when you say that someone has to be “open to the thought that he hit her”, do you know what your saying. In other words, there’s a possibility that he’s guilty so he’s guilty. I also speak from personnel situations.

In my line of work I see Black Men who go to jail for what I call “making Threatning Gestures” as opposed to actually hitting a women.

The Police is trained to take the side of caution, and they will automatically remove the men from the premise, and ask the woman to file a retraining order.

If they see visable bruises, they will automatically arrest.

If I was a man, and My woman had put the information out there that I abused her, then I would dissapear also.

Now, today we have the woman’s LAWYER making the statement that she was not hit.

Megan, are you aware that a Lawyer can NOT perjure Him or herself (telling a Lie KNOWINGLY).

Why would this lawyer Perjure him/herself to save Tyrese’s reputation.

Why would Tyrease’s girlfriend retract (or clean up) her statement.

I tend to think that Tyrease is innocent, or as they say in court “You are INNOCENT until proven guilty….”

Well you have to consider the TMZ was the media outlet that broke the first story, and now they are the first to “retract” and correct the story. Though they are everywhere and have video and pictures of everything and everybody, maybe they are not as credible a news source as people think.

If there is simply a matter of the facts being reported “distorted” - then both the girlfriend and Tyrese should be getting at TMZ - because they have definitely affected both their reputations.

Okay, I know I’m late, but I just got off work. I hope I don’t repeat any of the previous posts, but this is my take…

1. Ty Ty is a “celebrity”. I use that term loosely. They all have Fixers. A Fixer is sererate from a Manager, Agent, or PR. Their job is to “fix” a situation, usually by threatening to go public with something embarrassing on the accuser or simply by paying them off. I suspect someone got to her and she had a “change of heart”.

2. Ty Ty has 2 other daughters, not sure if they’re from the same woman or not but I don’t think she wanted to let go of those checks from the Coca-Cola commercials he did.

3. Personally, I believed the original story. I just think his people (bangers) got a hold of TMZ. Reason being: they say she’s 11 weeks pregnant which is about 2 1/2-3 months along. I’m sure she’s showing. How does he go all the way around her stomach to hit her in her upper arm (punk) and swing way below the belt to hit her in the thigh (b***h).

4. He made it like O.J. and hightailed it outta there.

5. Unfortunately, a man will do whatever he wants to a woman, i.e., beat, cheat, or even worse. The sad thing is he has female fans that make excuses for him, which is why he feels untouchable. I believe Tyrese is innocent like I believe Jim Brown, Ike Turner, Andre Rison, and O.J. didn’t do it.

Correction to my earlier post. I meant to say a man will do whatever he wants as long as the woman allows it. When it comes to abuse, women love to make excuses, i.e., he had a bad day at work, he only beats me because he loves me, he knows what’s best, the food’s too cold, the food’s too hot, etc. etc. My personal favorite, I ran into a wall. All she had to do was call him, tell him about the alleged rumor, deny that he hit her and ask that he make a statement. Bill, I can see where you are coming from. But if I were to believe her story also released by TMZ aren’t I still guilty of going on what TMZ said? Why is one of their (TMZ) stories (him hitting her) gossip and lies and the other one (her retraction statement) is not? And that questioned could be reversed. Like someone said, on an earlier post TMZ was the first one to release both stories, some people believe the first story is the truth and some people believe the retracted story is the truth. Through her lawyer she issued a statement that said, yes they had an argument, yes the police were called, yes he left the scene, and yes she went to the hospital. Those are the exact same thing that TMZ reported, if it were bogus, how then did they know every single detail that according to her via her lawyer happened except the fact that he was supposed to have hit her. Why didn’t her lawyer release her name, My client Jane Doe etc…? Unless the whole thing is made up the incedent never happened and their was never a retraction story from his alleged pregnant girlfriend. Bottom line is there are people who believe that he did it and people who don’t. And everyone is entitled to their opinion even if I disagree with someones opinion it doesn’t mean mine is right to them, so it’s nothing to debate about. Either way I wish them good luck with the baby.

The guy assaults you and you call 911 and decide to press charges or get a restraining order. The guy comes back and tells you how sorry he is and how he won’t hit you again and because “you love him”, you lift the restraining order and all charges. This is the same thing that happened to Black a$$ Ty and his girl. Anyone who beleives different I have a couple of pigs that can fly that I would like to sell you.

I think that he did in fact hit her and he made her squelch the rumors about it because he just released an album and rumors like this will send his album sales down the toilet. No Album=No Royalties…No Royalties=No Gucci baby booties…Hmmmm…

IMO - Honestly, when I saw the post of him allegedy abusing his girlfriend I didn’t for a sec think it was true, I honestly thought it was a rumor. I didn’t even comment on it. If she had told her attorney to issue a statement that said something along the lines of, “There are things being said about Tyrese and myself that are not true, he did not put his hands on me.” That would’ve been cool and I would’ve believed that. If he would’ve released a statement something along the lines of, “There is a rumor that I abused my girlfriend, there is no truth to it.” For me, that would’ve been cool, I would’ve believed that. I believe she is lying; Not because of the source (TMZ), or I believe everything that I read or hear, not because I want to put someone down for trying to have a legal, successful career, not because I’m a hater, I’m not some bitter abused or past abused black woman, or a man hater, I love sexy, dark, baldheaded men. Soley on her retraction statement alone I believe she is lying.
