Since so many people seemed to be feeling Teedra and what she’s doing, I decided I’d post this up (since someone e-mailed it to me). I’ve had this acoustic set that Teedra did for a while now, but since you guys here on CL seem to like her so much, I’m sharing it with you. I enjoy these few tracks because it really shows off Teedra’s voice. To me, Teedra is just a really impressive artist. Her writing, voice, and sincerity. Her debut album, “Complex Simplicity,” which was released in August 2004, was a masterfully put together album. These 3 songs come from that album. Enjoy.

Teedra’s album, “Complex Simplicity” was and is still a fabulous album. I still bump it in my speakers. She’s got a really fresh sound that is not like any other female artist out. I guess that’s why she hasn’t been publicized as much, because she actually has TALENT. But she gets mad luv this way. Can’t wait to hear a new album from her. We miss you Teedra

Maybe I need to start paying attention to these REAL artists, instead of listening to music from Cassie and Ugly Ass Ricky. I’m listening to the first song on the post, studio version, and it sounds pretty good. She still needs to grow on me, though.

The first time I heard of Teedra Moses was when Pooh mentioned her on the Lil Brother and DJ Drama Gangsta Grillz mixtape. I wondered who she was back then but never really looked into it. Glad you all posted a couple of songs because she has a nice voice and I’m feeling the songs I’ve heard. I’ll definitely go back and listen to her first album and check for more stuff in the future from her.
Now thats what you call talent. Just like Angel a said, she’s got the voice, the writting skill and most importantly she’s humble……you can actually feel the humility when listening to her songs, i just love her, still have *complex simplicity* in my cd changer. Keep it up Tedra

Damn, the world has gone to hell in a cd case! I can’t believe people are saying her voice isn’t special! WTF! This girl has such a unique soulful sound, and her last cd, complex simplicity is off the fuckin chain – real talk! It has a 80′s feel to some of the music, and her voice is very unique. She definitely has a jill scott flavor.
Damn, the bar has been so lowered that some people have no idea of what real music SHOULD sound like. I guess we’ve been reprogramed to think: Rhianna, Cici, Beyonce, Ashanti, Cassie, Destiny Child, Danity Kane, Cherrish, and a few others, are the epitome of music. But excuse me, while i like some of the acts i just mentioned, it’s all lolly-pop, bubble gum bullshit – no substance, just cool and hot for the moment, that’s why we are so critical of these artists. But what happened to the timeless music and entertainers, they get no support cause of the day and time we live in. The “sensational” artist have become mediocre, and the “mediocre” artist have become sensational in our day and time. Just ass backwards i tell you. Excuse me while i go throwup!

Soo….this is one of the reasons I love CL….they never sleep on anyone….I got Teedra Moses cd last year and it still gets major play in my ride….in fact, Teedra will be having a concert in LA on Jan. 28th at the BB Kings in Universal City walk and why is her tickets 15 dollars pre sale and 20 at the door. Soooo if your gonna be in the LA area you need to check ya girl out because her voice is fiyah….

and of COURSE most people wouldn’t know about good music that has validity and more thought to it than commercialized stuff that’s being blasted out there. i don’t listen to r&b so that is partially why i do not know this person, but the case that a lot of true talent out there is being undiscovered is because commercialized stuff is being broadcast 24/7. here, it’s where it’s all about looks and image. it’s just a shame honestly… all these big companies care about is what is “in” at the current times. they don’t give a damn about validity.

Thanks for posting these acoustic tracks of Teedra Moses! These acoustic tracks sound like they came from the R&B Sensations session she did in the UK for the BBC radio station called 1XTRA (back in either early 2005 or 2006). Everyone should check out this radio station online because they play the hottest tracks.
Anyways, I love Teedra Moses! As someone stated earlier, in the San Francisco Bay Area, CA Teedra is loved. I purchased her CD “Complex Simplicity” and it’s also on my iPod. If you are unaware of who she is you should make an effort to discover her music — instead of just complaining that “you don’t know her”. She is one of the most underrated people in the US music industry. The reason I single out the US music industry is because Teedra Moses is POPULAR internationally (especially in the UK).
Hype; Hype and Hype from her fans. I like teedra moses, but ya’ll need to give me a break. There is nothing Wow about her, she is not a WOWZER folks! I don’t know why ya’ll keep mentioning cassie; cassie been pushed under the bus already lol. I can’t beleive i’m about to say this but an artist such as beyonce who can sing and enterain very well has alot on teedra; well for one beyonce has been in the game for how long??? And Ciara has stepped her game up and can actually sing live and well and dance her ass off. So let’s give it a rest.

I think it’s because when these stars gain so much commercial success they slightly loose touch with reality and the general public. But I have to say I like Teedra but she is not GREAT. Marsha from floetry now that woman is UNDER-RATED. Marsha is not just a “singer”, she is a hell of a vocalist and artist, I can’t wait for a solo album from her.

Well compared to no talents, she’s sorta passable but this girl has very sketchy pitch. Her voice is rail thin. Nothing much happening here. You guys are so easily impressed. Check out Phyllis Hyman, Jean Carn – get to know real singing. This is really pathetic.
