Since so many people seemed to be feeling Teedra and what she’s doing, I decided I’d post this up (since someone e-mailed it to me). I’ve had this acoustic set that Teedra did for a while now, but since you guys here on CL seem to like her so much, I’m sharing it with you. I enjoy these few tracks because it really shows off Teedra’s voice. To me, Teedra is just a really impressive artist. Her writing, voice, and sincerity. Her debut album, “Complex Simplicity,” which was released in August 2004, was a masterfully put together album. These 3 songs come from that album. Enjoy.

I love her voice and she is so talented. She wrote “Dip it Low” for Christina Milian and “I Feel So Lady” for Mary J Blige, which was on some versions of “The Breakthrough”.
“Complex Simplicity” is the shit and I’d fight anybody on that one. She reminds me a lot of that Cherelle “feel” from back in the day. And take the time to listen to her lyrics. She’s straight up “hood” without being “ghetto”. Can’t wait for “The Young Lioness” to drop.

Please take that Etta James picture off from there cause its obvious you have no idea what good singing or good artistry is. You shouldn’t even be mentioning Ciara and Teedra in the same sentence let alone saying that she can sing better than her.
Point is Teedra can sing and she CAN WRITE MUSIC. Okay when I listen to music it has to be good in both singing and lyricism, Teedra has got both down locked. And I will go ahead and say FUCK Beyonce because she ain’t got shit on Teedra except more money and an ugly ass boyfriend. You know i loved her album COmplex Simplicity , thankls for posting these. Must we put down other black artists doing their thing to make other artists look good, there’s room for everybody. Personally i can appreciate Jill Scott, Teedra, Heather Headley and still bump my Ciara and Beyonce cd’s. It’s all good…
teedra moses is amazing lisetn to “Take Me” on her Complex simplicity album and you will fall for this woman hear voice is refreshing the whole cd is good but that is my favorite track

sometimes you may like an artists album because of the things they talked about in the album. i know i can relate to pretty much EVERY SINGLE one of TEEDRA’s songs….she has a nice voice and i love the fact that she wrote all her songs…it all adds up.
I like BEYONCE, but i just really couldnt relate to ANY of her songs since DESTINY CHILD put out WRITINGS ON THE WALL….which i still listen to.

her voice and overall sound takes me back to the 80s for some reason. i can’t put my finger on who she resembles. vrey soothing. i was especially touched by the song she sang in dedication to her mother. she is really a major talent.
o great, another pretty face but I do like the voice. its soulful but w/ a little bit of pop in there but its not something to be down-playing my gurls Bey and Cici about. They are way more talent than her IMHO.

Now I know who she is. Her song ‘Be Your Girl’ I know sounded familiar. I remember seeing her video on channel 7 or 48. One of those hip ho[ channels that don’t come in clear. I love this song.
