Maybe people aren’t hating on the family because they are light-skinned but because this could be another example of ‘light-skin adoration’…? There is talk about inner-conflicts inna the black race but is it any wonder when we hold this family up as a sign of a ‘beautiful black family’?

I mean I know blacks in the western hemisphere are mixed here and there but come on man! The fact her dad is dark means nothing. My brother looks straight outta africa and he is the same mix as me. My sister is called an asian all the bloody time! This woman obviously has some non-black in her.

You seem to be debating the percentage of your’s and her blackness! No one is questioning how much, but based on the evidence there’s a lack of imperical data! She’s a bi-racial!

Light-skinned black people need to realize that they don’t owe an explination to anyone about their biological make up! But, what they do need to do…is explain the reason why they chose to look down at their dark family like Halle did when she said growing up as a child, she hated her black heritage!

In regards to above posters, if he is half African American by his mother and his father is Jamaican-Chineese then that means only 25% of him is Chineese and we all kno that Black Jeans are dominant so I guess that means he is Black. I think thats what she meant.

Even when I was speaking with him on the phone, Nicole called and he asked me to hold and came back and told me it was his wife that was calling.
