The March issue of VIBE Magazine (available on newsstands in mid February) features top Grammy nominee, Mary J. Blige on the cover.
In 1993, Quincy Jones created VIBE, which is now a leading urban publication. The 150th issue offers a look at some of the V-Icons – a stamp that the Vibe editorial team gave to a select few, including Luther Vandross, Aaliyah, Jay-Z, Puffy, Eminem, Notorious B.I.G., Tupac and more.
This cover is waay better than Mary’s last vibe one. I know yall remember that one!

I think this cover was to make up for the last one they f@cked up of her. Besides, the people she had the issues with are no longer at the magazine; it’s a new staff now. Personally, I liked it best when Emil Wlbekin was there. That mag was on fire then. Now the damn thing is madd thin and looks like a pamphlet.
#43, It wasn’t Mimi’s fault she got that bad cover: MJB’s ppl INSISTED she wear her hair back for that shot. She claimed that that’s how her hubby liked it, I hear sooo… It’s good they can get past it if they want, but she shouldn’t have tried to blame it on anyone else either. On the other hand Mimi should’ve ignored what MJB’s ppl wanted and shot the cover HER way, the way that would best suit her magaine and sells so i guess they’re both to blame.
I love MJB and her music so I’d buy whatever mag she’s on, but not everyone’s like me so they should’ve done way better for this cover to get ppl who aren’t big MJB fans to be interested and buy it.

I from a professional view that the picture is not good at all. The pose, wig, and just looks very uncomfortable.
I would like to see her grace the of Giant magazine. They have great photographers and do a damn good job. Just look at Beyonce, Diddy, JHud and Ciara that have already made Giant’s cover.

Also, I found it ironic they chose “IRREPLACEABLE” as the operative word to use on the cover! Imagaine that!

Mary’s probably one of the few artist that was hot when vibe started and is STILL hot today. I can’t think of many people who started w/ her (rappers included), that are as relevant as Mary. Still putting out hot music in 07’ and up for 8 grammy’s. Go MJB! As far as the cover goes, she looks great, but as for the magazine??? Who still reads vibe? It always puts me to sleep. I much prefer Vibe Vixen.

Mary looks damn good! I love the cover. And I didn’t see anything wrong with her saying what she said at the Vibe awards. If you have a problem with something or someone, you comfront them. And I think she wanted to let her fans and everyone else know that she didn’t agree to that pic.
