I googled “Beyonce on SI” and came across a website that appeared to have predominantly white members. It was very obvious that these folks were disgusted about Beyonce being on the cover of SI. One poster even stated that SI has gone ghetto and that the issue was printed in ebonics. Her physical appearance and career were viciously attacked. I only read a few posts because that was not the site I inteded to go into but what I did read really pissed me off. Then I come on here and read comments by black people putting Beyonce down (not to the same degree as the other site). Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but I wonder if any of the people on this site that have spoken poorly of Beyonce would have defended her on this other website. I’m betting on…YES! We should always be supportive of our own. I like Bee. I like her music and her style but you don’t have to be a Beyonce fan to be proud to see one of US on the cover of a magazine that has mostly emrased white models. We should applaud any accomplishment made by black celebs…they are a representation of us. Have pride in fact that American media outlets have embrased Beyonce and shown everyone that black women are beautiful and are redefining the distorted definition of beauty in this country.

The reason a lot of “hate” is directed towards beyonce is because she and her team seem malicious and very vindictive. If you speak up – you’re out the group.
