Now what I want to get into is how extremely Bee was big this year first off when people heard about Bee coming out with a sophmore album so quick the everyone was talking about the return of Bee thinking what is she going to come out with? who is going to be featured on the album? what is the first single? will she suffer the sophomore jinx? so all of these questions was running through the industry’s minds then when Bee started getting into detail about the album and the first single people were dying to find out and when De Ja Vu was on the radio and leaked to the internet it had to be the most biggest response to a sophomore return ever everyone was talking about it whether you liked the song or not it was very universal then Bee puts out a video and everyone is wondering what that is gonna be like and people or maybe I should say haters were actually so distraught with the video they made a petition to have a re-shooting of the video now I am sorry but that had to be the first time in history that has ever happened but it didn’t phase Bee not one bit then the BET Awards, MTV Awards etc. came around Bee killed it in her performances and released her second single Ring the Alarm which I personally did not like but you’re not going to like every single song your favorite artists puts out so it was understandable people also tried to put Bee against Rihanna during that time also then after that B’Day dropped and in its first week sold 540,000 copies which was about 300,000 copies more than what DIL sold in its first week but really that was a suprise because so many people ha downloaded all the songs from B’Day off Lime Wire and didn’t get the album so that just proves Bee’s fan base is crazy so after B’Day release Bee did a couple more performances at award shows and the next really big thing for her coming was none other than DREAMGIRLS
Now I have seen Dreamgirls and I think that it was a very good movie and the WHOLE cast was excellent and if there was a way I really wish they could all get awards for their performances because all of them were excellent but of course J.Hud and E.Murph shined a little more because there roles were kind of the whole movie I mean people thought that the movie was totally going to be about Bee life story and she was going to be the main character but for anybody who knows the Dreamgirls Story knows that the story is of course about the Trio’s Rise and Fall but it is sort centered around the character of Effie so I really didn’t expect Bee to win an Oscar for her role because honestly she wasn’t even in the movie as much as J.Hud was but I did kind of expect her to at least win for her song Listen but even if she doesn’t that is okay she has her whole career ahead of her to win and at least she can say that she was in a movie that has been named a CLASSIC in movie-musical history so she still is praised for that and as far as the whole J.Hud vs. Bee beef that is just people speculating and wanting something to talk about because its just like when Letoya came out and people were trying to say that Bee had a beef with her to which was bull but bottom line people always try to pin Bee against somebody so that is not a big deal and honestly there is no such thing as “bad publicity” so all those rumors were neither hurting Bee’s career or boosting it But overall I don’t think Bee would be jealous of J.Huds success right now because Bee has had five times more success than J.Hud because don’t get me wrong I am so happy for J.Hud but she has had a year of success so far Bee has had like about 10 so lets be real
After all the success from Dreamgirls Bee might not have received any awards for her role but she has definitely gained respect from the acting world that would later lead her to better roles where she will be able to shine enough so that she would be awarded in return After all the awards shows Bee single Irreplaceable remains #1 on the charts for 10 weeks and this has to be Bee’s biggest single to date and everybody knows this song and it has been translated in almost every single language this is an anthem and Bee’s first Hot 100 #1 from B’Day she recently won a Grammy for best R&B contemporary album and is now featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated magazine which is huge no matter what level you want to judge it on and I mean come on people you cannot look at those pictures and say Bee isn’t beautiful I honestly think everyone is beautiful in there own way but Bee truly is a goddess she looks so heavenly in these pics and they make me think of summer I think Bee is a great model for young girls even though she doesn’t ask to be a role model it just comes with being a celebrity because obviously people want to be like you can follow you but overall Bee is a wonderful person, has a wonderful voice, she looks wonderful, and has a wonderful life and continues to be an influence for other artists who I like calling “baby beyonces” like C.Millian and Rihanna but on the real I will say I do think Beyonce is always everywhere all the time whether it be on t.v. , radio, movies, award shows, magazines, billboards but all you haters have to do is change the channel, flip the page, change the station, or just simply don’t pay her any attention and if you are so sick of her why do you always talk about her? Of the two, SI sells far more. And while the SI mag itself isn’t more than Vogue prestigious, the COVER is. But they really don’t bear out comparison, because they are geared for TOTALLY different markets (obv. female fashion vs. male sports).
