The talented Erykah Badu is the cover model for the February / March issue of Heart & Soul magazine. The 4x Grammy winner talked about her home life in South Dallas and her love for her children. Her 2 year-old daughter, Puma, is pictured with her. Too cute!!

That is a wig ,because I saw Erica on something not to long ago , and she had short permed hair. I know what it was Dave Chapelle block party. She was performong ,and the afro wig she was wearing kept blowing back so she took it off.
Why do we have a double standard for Celebrities? If Ms Badu was living in the hood and she named her kids SEVEN and PUMA we would be saying, “Girl, why the hell you gave those kids them fucked up ass names.” Those names are not eccentric, normal or cute. Those are some fucked up ass names and if those kids were growing up in the hood they would be tease and get their ass kicked because of their name. I personally think she should have gone all out and name the her kids EIGHT and NIKE.
I knew she was pregnant…lots of people thought it was Common’s at the time cause that was the last person they knew about. I don’t know about those names though..but they aren’t my kids!

Erykah’s wig doesn’t look natural and purposely so. Even in her video with Sergio mendes, when she wears her hair straight it seems to me that she’s purposely using that hair for “art” and not to make it look natural.
I’ma need for her to come back quick along with Maxwell cause we lack serious good music, I haven’t felt high listening to a track in a long time and my soul is in it of those sensations.

When Erykah named Seven I kinda understood…..G is the 7th letter in the alphabet….she said G to her meant God…..so she was like also Seven is a number that can’t be divided….so I was like okay….and he looks so much like her and Dre….beautiful child he is….and seeing Puma she’s a cutie…..but with her having the D.O.C as the baby daddy…..I still think that child is Common’s….because it’s too crazy she just broke up with Common and then she’s prego by D.O.C….don’t peeps use condoms anymore…..I’m not into E Badu like I used to be…..but she’s still a great singer by far!!!

I love Eryka’s music and her children are adorable- the only thing that bothers me is the comments she constantly makes about dating the 3 men is that she obviously is having unprotected sex. which aint cute this day and age. I live in the same city as she does and babe, South Dallas is DA HOOD! I also grew up there but haven’t lived there in over 12 years. But, Erykah didn’t let fame take over. she didn’t forget where she came from and girlfriend has bought an old theatre in South Dallas and holds tons of charity events with celebrity guests. The D.O.C is from Texas too! So, that’s not too far fectched that they kicked it. Hell, he had people from the West Dallas Projects.

Erica Badu was once one of my favorate female artist. but, she went crazy talking about kript keepers and how they chopped her head off her old body and resurected her spirit into the form she is now.
But, her first album was her pinnacle along with the song Tyrone after that it was over. she stepped into the game late
Like Micheal Jackson Thriller is his pinnacle but it just that he started earlier in life so he had the opportinity to have a long career in this shady music business.

D.O.C. is from Dallas as well but he used to rap with NWA and repped the West Coast back in that era. His name stands for Dallas Oak Cliff, I believe.

I haven’t been to the fair in years!!! I had stopped going in high school cause we would just go to Six Flags on Fair days. But I’ve been in VA in school for the past 4 years but you appreciate stuff like that when you leave it and I’m definitely going when I get home for good!

I sooooo dig Erykah Badu. IMO there really isn’t another artist that’s on her level. Her WorldWide Underground album is so off the chain.. it’s just mad, crazy, sick. Rarely do you find an album that you can listen to the entire cd without skipping a song or two, but WorldWide Underground album, and Sylenna Johnsons’ “Chapter 3: The Flesh”, are two albums that you can bump all the way through.
I really hated that Erykah and Andre broke up! I want them back together.
