Foxy Brown In Florida Without Permission, NY Probation Department Seeks To Incarcerate Rapper

The New York City Department of Probation is seeking to have rapper Foxy Brown incarcerated, after she was arrested outside of a beauty supply store Thursday (Feb. 15) in Pembroke Pines, FL.

Brown was sentenced to anger management classes and three years probation in Oct. 2006, for assaulting two Manhattan nail salon employees over a $20 manicure in Aug. 2004.

According to Jack Ryan, a spokesman for the New York City Department of Probation, Brown never had permission from her probation officer to travel to Florida.

“We are asking the court to violate her probation and incarcerate her,” Ryan told The New York Post.

Brown now faces up to a year in prison for violating the terms of her probation.

Her album must be coming out soon! She trying to get some of that much needed press

Slavery did a true number on us. She is a pretty woman by any standard.

3. Foxy DOES need Help. Even as a fan I won’t try to deny that. I think she may have more than an anger management problem. I have been a foxy fan since she first freestyled LL’s track. But repeated failure and stress coupled with whatever mental issues she may suffer are a bad combination. She definately needs help. HOWEVER

4. I don’t know if the rest of you sisters will admit it, but MOST black women and black men as well walk around on a day to day basis suppressing an inordinate amount of rage. Racism will do that to you, classicism will do that to you, sexism, etc. etc. How many of you just get TIRED of the BS and wish you cut “go matrix” on some disrespectful store clerk, some fool on your job (i.e. Isaiah Washington choking someone) etc. Most of us have the self control to avoid doing that. But not everyone is mentally healthy so their breaking point would be lower.

4. Go hug a black woman today or something. We have enough haters without other women who look just like us joining the ranks. Sh9t we ALL have problems, physical, mental, moral and otherwise.
