Again, 50 Cent has proven his insanity by coming out with a diss record and matching video against Cam’ron. I’m not sure what’s crazier – the fact that he’s sitting there cleaning and carrying around large weapons or the fact that there’s an animation of Cam’ron sitting in his car at Howard University’s Homecoming (remember when he got shot?). I don’t know, either way, this seems like a desperate cry for attention. Why you mad, 50?

This current beef is the result of the on-air confrontation that 50 and Cam had last week on the Angie Martinez show in NY. If you go to youtube, there are two videos posted where you can see what was going on in the studio with Angie and 50, and what was going on simultaneously in the Koch Records offices. (Kinda suspect that this convo was being video recorded on both ends) Anyway the conversation started off very calmly, with both MC’s exchanging pleasentries. 50 was actually very calm, even when the conversation heated up. Cam on the other hand was livid. “Curtisssssssss!!!!” became a constant battle cry as Cam continually heckled 50 about Lloyd Banks and MoB Deeps sales as compared to Jim Jones, the statement that 50 made that he could stop a record from coming out on Koch. Even though 50 was his bold arrogant self, Cam still came off as the instigator. And I believe after 50 saw that footage on Utube of Cam and crew laughing at him hysterically, he probably went and shot that video the next day, if not the same night. Lets see: mansion-check, cars-check, video-hoes(literally)-check, crew of gun totters and weed carriers-check, guns and weed-check. One has to think that it would take 50 less than an hour to make phone calls and arrange this, and I believe the grimy essence of the video, and how quickly it was done only furthers the point that this dude(50) is serious. Take note of two things: 1.)what happens to the lamborghini at the end of the vid. That is supposed to be a renactment of Cam getting shot in D.C., and 2.) the divide and conquer tactic of attemting to get on Jimmy and Juelz good side with the comments at the end of the video about Cam being demoted to a soldier within the DipSet ranks. Can U say the Art of War.

Cam came with a response song sumtin like a day or so later, which was preceeded by yet another remix for “Fly High/Ballin”(I mean damn, how much can U work one song. But I guess if Nas, and Game can well….topic for another post). On this one, instead of hearing Jimmy scream his now legendary “Ballllin” on the hook, Cam’s new battle cry of “Curtiiiiiiiiiiis” replaces it(funny yet wack). Now for all of U who thought 50′s vid looked shotty, U need to hear this piece of hot garbage. I did not even listen to see if they changed any verses. So I guess it did not surprise me that with the lack of creativity engulfing Cam right now, that he would title his response song “Curtis”. And U wonder why J did not respond to this dude. Peace
